Chaos is known as the being that never became a star. It is everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time.
Neither good nor evil, the ultimate expression of nothingness. The antithesis of the cosmos, creation itself.
Although Chaos claims to be the very state of existence from which the first entities appeared, it cannot form into the entity it wants most.
So it has been cursed to stay in the form of a dark and shapeless void. Floating between existence and nonexistence.
Longingly watching as stars are constantly born and lives are lived. The seeds of malice had been planted, flourished and transformed Chaos into the purest form of evil.
Celeste approached the ticket office and specified what she would like. In an almost traditional manner the man aimed a sneer at her Canadian French before finally giving her what she was after for the appropriate sum. While the man's expression may have disheartened her normally, it could do little to dampen her current spirits. For the first time in years she had money of her own, money that didn't need to be sacrificed to medical bills or house payments. Given that her books and education had been paid for by her family, it was finally time to spend some on something completely frivolous. Originally she wasn't too sure of where to go and had to rent out a book of 'fun' spots to visit before finally deciding on her current destination. While the exhibits in the hall ways were certainly interesting, a picture on one of the pages had stolen her heart for a moment. A nighttime sky with more stars than the mind could possibly comprehend; a planetarium.
The room itself seemed almost barren, painted entirely black with a strange looking device sitting at the epicenter of nearly a hundred chairs or so. She knew from reading about it that the device would project images of the night sky onto the black walls and roof of the building. These pictures could move, or diagrams could appear on the wall illuminating constellations like dot connecting puzzles. Simply seeing the pictures in the book had been enough to stir up memories in her of times long since lost. She had once enjoyed staying up late watching the stars and having her mother point out the various constellations as they sipped hot tea together. It had been quite easy in the rural town they had lived in, but the city of light made it nearly impossible to see the stars like she did back then. The wave of nostalgic feelings gripped her even now as she approached her seat, tightening her grip on the warm tea she held in her hands.
As best as she could she removed her book bag and set it down in front of her in the space between the rows and took her seat. The jostling of removing the bag moved the necklace that weighed upon her neck sending a chill down her spine. Her right hand absentmindedly moved up and gripped the strange gem that now hung from her neck. This was the only thing that could lower her spirits despite the promise of what was to come. The memory of the strange creature and the wish it had granted her and more importantly the cost of that wish even now weighed upon the necklace she had fabricated to hold it. She had been practicing that magic almost every day since, working hard to master the skills she felt she would need someday. Yet that day still had yet to come. She had not yet discovered any creature that needed to be defeated and while that should have made her feel safer, it only served to build her fear of the eventual encounter.
Her heartbeat seemed to increase, the familiar pounding filling her ears, a reminder of the unusual power she had acquired unintentionally. The creature had offered her a few choices, but she had ended up with a gruesome one instead of something kinder. It had been her intention to ask a question, so she had spoke the name of one of the powers with an inflection, but the creature had thought she had chose that one and nothing she said afterwards could possibly change its mind. Her heartbeat slowed, not by her calming down but by her willing it to slow, this was the power she had been saddled with; the magic of blood. She took a sip of her tea, letting the warm fluid lend her what little calm it represented and strived to bring her anxiety down to manageable levels. It wouldn't do to worry about this and ruin the show about to commence.
A pattering of feet filled her ears and she swiftly let go of the strange necklace being sure to tuck it back into her shirt and hide it with her scarf as usual. It seemed she would not be alone to enjoy the show. Another sip of her tea, and she snuggled further into the comfy chairs watching the people find their seats while she waited patiently for everything to begin.

WEAPONRY
[break][break]
NAME: Pluvia Sanguinis[break] CLASS: D[break] DESCRIPTION: Appearance-wise the weapon is Nero's aestus estus from fgo. In character Celeste has had a replica of the weapon in her home for quite some time, but unlike that replica this blade is created from magic. As almost anyone who owns a sword replica toy does, she has taken it off the wall and gallivanted through the house and back yard swinging it with the reckless abandon of one who knows not even the slightest knowledge of swordsmanship. Unlike that replica the real blade is sharp and can be summoned at will, the weight is familiar but it's clear that this is a weapon meant to draw blood. In a relatively uncomfortable motion, she can summon the sword by placing one hand on any part of her body and calling the swords name before withdrawing it from herself, it may also be dismissed in a similar fashion. She believes that the blade is being formed or dispersed into her blood when she summons or dismisses it but is unsure of the exact mechanism given her vast inexperience. The blades strength is overall similar to any kind of normal blade due to her low level magic and low level technique in using it.[break]
TRANSFORMATION
APPEARANCE: [click for image] [break][break] Celeste's transformation is swift and to the point upon saying the incantation 'Armis cordis'. A pool of blood appears beneath her, lifting many tendrils into the air surrounding her in a cocoon of blood, only to disappear in a moment leaving the girl in full battle worthy regalia. This can be preformed in the air, though the pool doesn't form and the cocoon is formed from tendrils originating from her.

ABILITIES
[break][break]
NAME: Incito[break] CLASS: D[break] DESCRIPTION: Using what little understanding of her magic she possesses, Celeste is capable of increasing her physical prowess through her own blood flow for a period of time. At the moment all she has achieved with this effect is to make herself physically more agile and while the effect is significant compared to most ordinary people, she's barely scratched the surface of what a mage can do.[break]
Celeste's tale starts as a very happy one, born to a French mother and an Irish father in the heart of Canada. Her parents heaped love upon the young girl and were very quick to forgive any silliness the girl would mention of strange things she had perhaps seen or heard that didn't seem to exist. Other children her age however quickly subjected the girl to social ostracization for the strange things she would mention and before long she had not a single friend. While that was deeply damaging, she found solace within the pages of books and the arms of her loving family. [break][break]
A month before Celeste had graduated from high school a tragedy struck the happy family. Her mother, whom she had relied on for emotional stability for so long contracted a strange illness that seemed to sap the very life from her. Day by day she would become weaker and weaker, at first unable to work then bedridden and finally under the perpetual care of the hospital. The doctors appeared baffled by the illness and clearly an outside opinion was absolutely necessary to have any hope of improving her condition. Deciding to forgo any additional schooling and enter the workforce, Celeste tried her best to earn money for her family. Celeste and her father worked all day and much of the night to afford the expensive foreign medicines and doctor's opinions yet nothing seemed to be working. [break][break]
With the constant work and lack of sleep Celeste started to entertain the strangest of fantasies that even her older and more reasonable mind should have shut down by logic alone. Ideas that the illness her mother suffered from had something to do with the strange things she occasionally saw. While her father simply sighed and shook his head he did listen to one of the things she mentioned. So it was that the family packed up everything they owned and left the sleepy town for the infamous city of light in the heart of France. While he may not have agreed with her strange fantasies, he did think bringing her mother back to the land where she was born might help her, and the newly revitalized city of light supposedly had excellent medical facilities. [break][break]
While the doctors in the new city proved just as helpless as those in the old, a strange creature offered her a deal. Her body and mind, so tired from all the work she had endured to pay for hopeless medical fees could not simply dismiss this fantastical hallucination. It was the first real glimmer of hope for her family she had seen in years, and so she agreed with the strange creatures offer. Magic achieved what science could not, and within the week her mother was back on her feet with a smile to match her new fortunes. The family celebrated her 'miraculous' recovery and Celeste found herself swearing to protect those happy smiles as long as she possibly could. [break][break]
