Chaos is known as the being that never became a star. It is everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time.
Neither good nor evil, the ultimate expression of nothingness. The antithesis of the cosmos, creation itself.
Although Chaos claims to be the very state of existence from which the first entities appeared, it cannot form into the entity it wants most.
So it has been cursed to stay in the form of a dark and shapeless void. Floating between existence and nonexistence.
Longingly watching as stars are constantly born and lives are lived. The seeds of malice had been planted, flourished and transformed Chaos into the purest form of evil.
Ayakka's ears perked up at the boy? Man? The person's voice as she looked for a good place to look for her next rescue to be. [break][break]
"Split up?" Ayakka rolled her head to the side, juggling the idea for a bit. "I'll look...at even floors...you look...at odd?"[break][break]
"Probably not a great idea. If we get separated, there's no telling whether or not we can find our way back together. Better if you stick close to me kiddo." Ayakka nodded, mostly to herself. Better to keep the party together where she could keep them safe rather then try to split their forces and getting trapped. Well...they would get trapped. She'd be fine, but that was hardly the pressing matter at this point. "Buuuut as long as you're here I don't mind a bit of help." Flashing what was hopefully an inspiring thumbs up, Ayakka continued. "Just need you to stick close to the wall, stay behind me and keep your ears listening for anyone calling for help. Oh and think of places a kid could hide if they get scared, that'd be a great. Make escaping this place a lot easier if we found him sooner." With that said, Ayakka turned around, heading toward the stairwell nearby and placing her hand on the wall next to her for guidance. [break][break]
"So, do you make a habit out of running into fires Mister....?" Ayakka joked again, trying to keep the mood light as she inwardly cursed realizing that she couldn't just dash through the fire like she normally did. This job was getting more complicated everyday...[break][break]
For once, someone beat her to the punch. Right before her eyes, right as she pulled the straps on her helmet down and fashioned the mask firmly over her face an idiot ran in grabbing a pail of water, as if that would protect him, and ran headfirst into the flames. [break][break]
"Aibou, you ain't allowed to call me reckless anymore alright?" Ayakka laughed, tapping her partner on the back as he checked his oxygen tank. The man in turn sighed, waving off what he knew was coming next. Shooting the exasperated man a thumbs up, Ayakka grabbed a spare axe and oxygen mask and cracked her neck. "Just another person to save, right?" Were the words she muttered, more to herself then anyone else. But, she thought to herself, it was still nice seeing someone else risk their life to try and save someone. And what kind of hero would let that person die in an inferno? [break][break]
With an easy swing and crack, the door easily gave way as Ayakka carefully scanned the building for an easy access deeper. And, possibly, the scrawny little man that had charged in headfirst. As nice as the gesture was, Ayakka doubted that becoming a charred corpse was high on his list. As if answering the questions that bounced around her mind, a voice echoed from somewhere else in the burning complex followed by the loud stamping of feet. Perfect, the firefighter thought to herself as she glanced at the nearby blaze and checked over her shoulder to make sure no on else had followed her in. Eyeing the nearest blaze, Ayakka took a leap of faith, hoping this would put her close enough to the people that needed help. Always more guesswork then she'd like with her ring of fire, but it was a useful tool at the very least. And hey, maybe once she got good enough she could even figure out how to properly aim this thing![break][break]
"Someone! Is anyone in here!?" [break][break]
As luck would have it, her headlong run had her emerge behind the man screaming into the blaze. Trying her best to exude an air of calm and cool, Ayakka raised her voice behind the man's back.[break][break]
"If you're looking for an application we don't usually do on the job interviews you know." Ayakka joked, tapping the man on the shoulder as she eyed the fire around them warily. The building was going fast, judging by how the supports were giving. "Also, please leave this to the professionals next time." Ayakka said as she handed him the spare oxygen mask. Last thing she needed was to carry the adult that passed out because of the smoke. "I don't think you're family wants to read about how you were a hero in the obituaries, 'kay?"[break][break]
Now for the kid...If this were a fire, where would she try to hide first?[break][break]
RANK: ★☆☆☆☆ [break] CLASS: Magi [break] [break] SP. SKILL: [ RING OF FIRE ] — It's only fitting that your special skill allow you to manipulate fire even further to your liking, right? And, while it may not be outwardly offensive, this skill will surely help you continue onward as a vigilant firefighter! With your skill, you are capable of traveling through fire akin to that of portals unscathed. By leaping into a blazing fire, you are capable of leaping out of another blaze at a different location! So long as the fire is still going, you can use the ember as an entrance, or exit point. Of course, this comes with downsides. One, being that if a flame is put out it obviously cannot be used. Secondly, you are capable of taking other with you through the flames. However, you must remain in physical contact with them. The moment touch is severed... well... they're doomed.

WEAPONRY
[break][break]
NAME: Arcus Caritate[break] CLASS: D[break] DESCRIPTION: By the understanding of most magi, a useless and plain bow. No matter how much one may bend or creak the string, the arrows will never break skin. In a battle of flashy explosions and powers that defy reality, this suites this warrior the most. Instead of blood, the body heat of the target flows out with each strike. That being said, out of inexperience and the hesitation of a person that isn't comfortable on the battlefield, the effect is rather weak and requires a rather hefty amount of hits to actually tire someone out. More often then not, Ayakka tries to weaken her opponent to the point of a draw rather then try to go after their life. Though she could theoretically kill someone by inducing hypothermia, Ayakka will more often then not decide not to push that extra mile as it takes many consecutive hits on a single target to get them there..and the fact that taking a life isn't an idea she isn't comfortable with.[break]

ABILITIES
[break][break]
NAME: Ex Animo[break] CLASS: D[break] DESCRIPTION: As fires rage and the very scenery around Ayakka burns up, she can call on her ability to give her an edge. The heat internalizes in her body, burning up the sugars and fats to give her a boost to agility. While she can jump higher and run faster, the burn comes with a laundry list of drawbacks. While Ex Animo breaks the limits of her muscles, they also tire them out faster resulting in muscle fatigue if the ability is used for an extended period of time. Drawing in all that heat also raises her internal body temperature, rapidly depleting her body's supply of water and putting her into a near feverish state. [break]

NAME: name your ability?[break] CLASS: D[break] DESCRIPTION: describe your ability.[break]
Normal was fine, for Ayakka. Because for Ayakka, normal had her father and the scratchy stubble that always tickled her when he gave her a hug. Normal had her mother braiding her hair in twintails as she gave her advice for her first day of school. And that was fine. Like this, she could be happy. A normal, happy life that was satisfied that they wouldn't accomplish anything grand. [break][break] But normal was weak. Normal can't put out fires. Normal couldn't do anything, except look on in fear as their warm house with its warm memories and warm people burned down. So when normal was given a choice, a wish for anything they wanted...it was an easy choice. Prices this, exchanges that...Ayakka heard little of it. Prices could be paid but precious people couldn't be replaced. So when the Evoker asked her what her wish was, Ayakka needed little to tell it her heart's desire. [break][break] "Save them." [break][break] And for her, that was fine. For the mother that sang and brushed her hair when she was sad. For the father that angrily declared that any boy that came near his daughter would face the fury of a salary man...the price she paid was fine. [break][break] Because even if normal was a long lost dream now, her phone could still ring. She could still pick it up and listen to her mother ask when she would visit next. Her father would yell loudly in the background, telling her to not bring anyone with her so he could have his family time all to himself. And she could still grin and laugh, telling them that she was still waiting for time off before the station would let her have enough time to go see them. [break][break] Because even if her body screamed and her eyes hung low, she could still pick herself up from another fight and beat her chest at the next battle. Whether it was running through the flames to save someone's life, or facing down a vessel...her reason to fight was still there waiting until she could come see them again. [break][break]
