Chaos is known as the being that never became a star. It is everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time.
Neither good nor evil, the ultimate expression of nothingness. The antithesis of the cosmos, creation itself.
Although Chaos claims to be the very state of existence from which the first entities appeared, it cannot form into the entity it wants most.
So it has been cursed to stay in the form of a dark and shapeless void. Floating between existence and nonexistence.
Longingly watching as stars are constantly born and lives are lived. The seeds of malice had been planted, flourished and transformed Chaos into the purest form of evil.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius couldn't believe the news when he had first heard it. Alex was a corrupted. Alex, his older brother, the man who had raised him, the one who had cut through the lies of those around them, the brother who worked hard to help Julius get through his education, was a corrupted. He killed people, stole their seeds and aided chaos. Chaos, which was against order and how far he was willing to go for it. Really, when Sandrine had first told him, Julius had questioned him harshly and in a rare act, had even raised his voice and yelled at the other for even daring to make such accusations.[break][break]
Yet, Julius did notice a few things. How Alex sometimes seems to be injured and...he just had to know. He could ask...directly. It would mean telling his brother about magic (because he still refused to truly entertain the idea of Sandrine telling the truth regardless of his past record for honesty) but maybe he should. He shouldn't lie to his brother and if he tells him the truth, he can also warn his brother to get away from danger. Either way, there was no exactly much harm to reveal himself to Alex. His brother might not even panic as much as be impressed and the idea of Alex being impressed by him was almost tempting. After all, to be impressed by one's idol would be a huge accomplishment.[break][break]
And that was why Julius found himself standing in front of Alex's door. He hadn't told his brother he was visiting today (he didn't know why but Sandrine's words had unfortunately planted some small seed of doubt) but he knew that his brother didn't have class today. So hopefully...he knocked on the apartment door and waited. In his hand was a small to go bag with some French breakfast. It was the least he could do as an apology for his sudden visit.
Mmm... That was the sound of absolute success in the morning, waking to the sun just rising hitting against the apartment's window pane. Last night was rather enjoyable, he'd successfully turned in three starseeds, doing this for the past couple months he had almost became a pro at this job. Why his memory abilities certainly came of use lowering the guard of woman and... well recently in experimentation men as well. His vice seemed awfully proud of his capabilities even going so far to reward with her fine attention last night, with a morning wake up he managed to find her gone absolute no trace. What was a trace was his woman's leftover body and bunny ears.
He got up shuffled his way to the coffemaker, turning on a batch of coffee, before making his way toward the laptop turning it on. His eyes scattered around the messy room, he'd been losing the focus to keep the whole house clean and spotless as he was raised by police family to do so. The more clean, easier to find evidence against your murderer... He picked up a couple of things, kicked a couple of other things, and eventually placed on a warm comfy snuggie above his boxers. He picked up the coffee, smelling the sweet sweet smell of the columbian freshly brewed. With a small dance looking almost like a ballae dancer, he opened the fridge pulling out his favorite creamer and pouring it into the coffee. Stiring enjoying the small mixture patterns of white and black mixing to perfect light brown.
The door knocked suddenly causing him mid first swallow to spit it out, Crap! He was still full corrupted form, he looked around slipping the cup against the counter with a 'clunk',picking up a small hairband to forcibly fold his ears out of view, using his unnatural long black hair to cover the evidence. Walking up the door to open it up seeing just who was at the door. The least expected subject, the least expected bright starseed he'd purposefully mistargeted. His. Brother. What did he have? A small to go bag, quickly he put on an act. "Why hello there, Alex's residence, he's not home." He spoke in the most sweetest feminine voice he could manage, his heartrate through the roof. Hoping... To God. His brother didn't investigate, purposefully blocking the entryway not to show just how much dirtier his home had became... The smell of his favorite coffee filling the air, laptop in view of his brother something.. He didn't think about attempting to shoo the Black hair man away. The breasts def looking to be around medium sized, who knew.. His brother dated. Not really.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Seeing a woman at the door felt rather...strange. It wasn't that he didn't believe Alex couldn't get a girlfriend, he was sure that his brother could achieve anything he put his mind to. Yet, for a woman to be in the room while Alex wasn't? It was strange. Even more was that the woman in front of him...it was the same woman in the photo. Actually, she didn't have the bunny ears but the facial structure looked the same, and for her to conveniently be in the same room? Either Sandrine was telling the truth or this woman was using his brother. [break][break]
Without a word, he pushed the woman in order to allow himself in before locking the door. They were on the fourth floor, so he doubted she would jump, not without risking some injury or at the very least causing people to look at her. This, however, was the picture of the corrupted Sandrine had taken a picture of before reporting on the dead woman just last week. With a wave of his hand, the door behind him was covered by a barrier, steel grey eyes glaring at the woman. They were questions he needed to ask and he wasn't going to let her lie to him.[break][break]
"Golden rays I conjure thee. To give thy truth unto me," the incarnation parted from his mouth before a lasso made of light wrapped around the girl in front of him. "Where is Alex?" He knew that there were more important questions to ask such as if she was a corrupted, who had she killed, who was she working for, how long as she been a corrupted but right now, his brother was gone when he shouldn't be and the woman Sandrine had taken a picture of and labeled as a corrupted was here.
His brother looked at him with a slight hard cold glare he'd never really saw from his brother, a glare almost sending chilled vibrations through his body. That he barely fought back as Juilius pushed her aside easily locking the door. This. Was. Not. Good. She felt her heart increase as he seemed to wave his hand, easily putting up a barrier, cold steel eyes glaring down at her. Was this how others felt around his brother? No wonder the man hasn't gotten himself a girlfriend yet.
She shifted slightly, "That's rather rude! Who are you to barge in!" She asked still playing the role, but skin crawling reality setting in. He'd became a target, definitely found out, but how? He'd cover his tracks so well.. All witnesses had no memories, right? Sudden words as answer created what looked to be a bright light wrapping itself around her, she struggled slightly the heat of magic just completely... Overpowering, almost making her adrenaline rush to capture the fool dare barge into her home, who dared cross her... Please her Vice, bring this fool's starseed to her. No, this was... 'Where's Alex' the question came out, she felt it the burning of his magic surging through her... burning hot, why did corrupted have to be so complicated, it commended.. It soothed... It wished.. For her to Speak to answer. She had to answer, heartrate changing beating with the truth magic. "He-he-here." She answered voice struggling swallowing saliva, her hands slowly producing yellow and pink goo in almost defense, she quickly moved them behind her back... A rather painful feats, wiping the goo onto the snuggie she wore. "LET me go! " She commanded struggling, biting her tongue hoping the pain will enforce it to obey her will rather than the lasso's loosening magic.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Usually, Julius had to focus on his goal. It wasn't so much that he didn't have the determination or the discipline to focus. However, focused did require effort, yet at the moment, it was easy to focus on the only thing that mattered to him, his brother. Even if there was no concrete evidence (as Sandrine was only a defense attorney in training), Julius did not treat her as a citizen. The fact that she refused to answer can only mean one thing, Alex was in danger and Julius needed to figure out where he was. At her refusal to answer, the whip grew tighter, "I repeat, where is Alex?" he asked, his usual monotone carrying a hint of impatience.[break][break]
She didn't react to questioning the whip. That meant that she knew about magic. Sandrine's analysis of the girl may very well be correct. She might just be a corrupted which only meant that Julius needed to get to his brother as quickly as possible.
'I repeat, where is Alex' The monotone the complete disregard of it all froze her struggling staring at him with eyes watering. Just what had he became? Was he always like this? "I answered, here." She commented with complete sincerity not even bothering to fight with the lasso. Her eyes trying to read into those steel grey ones, almost matching her own. She released a small breath before charging for a headbutt against julius' head to free herself from this overbearing hot magic.
Should she succeeded she'd complete drop the snuggie exposing her bunnytail and boxers, female upper portion complete exposed. Going immediately for distance, to find an escape.
should she fail and he managed to dodge, she'd forcibly try to drop to the ground hoping to break the lasso that way.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Here? Julius narrowed his eyes but he can see the lasso has loosened. If she was answering correctly then what did she mean by here? Here in this building? In this room somewhere? A closet? Julius opened his mouth ready to demand her to be more specific when suddenly the woman charged at him. Their heads connected and the pain caused him to temporarily lose his concentration. The lasso was gone but at least the barrier was still there. "Where specifically is here?" Julius asked conjuring his bow and aiming the arrow at her knee ready to shoot should she try to move. It wouldn't kill her, but it would pin her. And who knows, maybe it would even hurt her. That may serve as a reminder to not harm others. He could also call the police about a potential kidnapping case right now and not dispel the barrier until the police get here. Then they can interrogate her before sentencing her. Even if they can't get her on murder due to lack of any concrete evidence, they could very well get her for kidnapping.[break][break]
Julius had already lost two of his family member with their murderer almost getting away scotfree. This time, he didn't exactly have any method of wish granting.
Managing to make skull upon skull contact, she felt a huge pain into her head, but at least she was free from the horrible feeling of magic coming off the lasso. She backed getting toward the window to realize, she was completely caged in, her guard completely up. It looked the only way to actually get away, was to face her brother. The question came, it was rough demanding she bit her lip in disbelief, small tear still in here eye. Why did it have to come to this? She didn't want this at all.
Turning to face her brother, arrow already making contact into her knee, the pain causing her to call out and full roughly out of balance on the ground. She struggled between the pain trying to raise, her eyes absolutely glaring at him, fine he wanted to do this! Wanted to make a move against Her? "So focused on bringing down the enemy, Can't even Recognize your own Brother!" She screamed with the most feminine voice ever that slowly morphed back to his original. The top torso as well changing back, the bunny ears becoming exposed from his movement, though still held in place by a hair band, his long hair still incredibly long.
Forcing himself off the ground using the chairs, knee in absolute pain, the pain written on his face with each movement. His eyes just glaring, "Well! Are you going to help?" He exclaimed frustrated by how much damage one little light arrow could do, having a shield would definitely come in handy. Oh. Right. his brother had that one. What did he have the ability to erase memories, great to make contact with the forehead!
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]One shot in the knee, enough so that the woman wouldn't be able to make a run for it. Tears were in her eyes but Julis was quite certain it was from pain. So she was not someone used to combat, that would mean that the prosecutor had an advantage. Good. He met her glare with a sharp look of his own, waiting to see what she would do. There was a scream before the woman transformed into a familiar figure.[break][break]
"Alex?" he asked.[break][break]
Alex...Alex was...Sandrine was right?[break][break]
Gray eyes widen as he can only stare at the scene. Alex...Alex was the girl...Alex killed...his brother was a corrupted...he hurt his brother...what...what was happening? It was only Alex's voice that brought Julius back to reality. Right...Alex was in danger. Everything else can wait, he had to help him. Julius all but scurried over to the older Vesper dispelling the arrow before getting the first aid kit from the cabinet. He took the alcohol cleanser along with a bandage to wrap around the knee.[break][break]
"This will sting," he warned before he started to wipe his brother's knee, with the man (or was he a woman considering what Julius had just seen) now sitting on the chair. The younger dark haired male did his best to be gentle as he cleaned the wound before bandaging it. "I...I'm...." it felt sudden. Just before this, despite his worry, there was a sense of calm. As long as there were a goal and obstacles, Julius knew what to do. If the person in front of him was nothing more than a criminal, the answer always came so easily. But...but..he..."I'm...I didn't..." was there an excuse? He had hurt Alex. It didn't matter what happened, Julius had hurt Alex. Alex who had raised him, Alex who had sacrificed so much and what did Julius do? Not only had he hurt him, but he hadn't even recognized his own family member.[break][break]
Slowly his pale hand clutched onto the fringes of his hair. It...it was...why? It was getting hard to breathe, everything was feeling hot, the room..it was moving. Why? Was this magic? Why was it so hard to breathe?
There came a sudden shift in the room, as his brother seemed to finally understand what was going, removing the arrow, even going to get the first aid kit to help him out. Placing the alcohol onto a bandage, before wrapping around the knee. Causing a sound of pain as the coth made contact on the open wound, the pain easing as his brother carefully bandaged the knees. "thank you..." Was all he could whisper, as he was helped into a chair. Great, this was just perfect....
Julius began to break into apology, struggling with the words. Alex truly had no idea what to say what to think, too busy caught up analyzing his brother's harsh behavior before. Was it to be protective? Maybe his brother was thinking that he was did in danger? "So.. why did you stop by today?" He asked with an edge of uncertainty, slightly playing with his overly long hair. His hand reaching out planning to erase or modify his brother's mind about this whole incident, when he noticed the guy acting really weird... Something he became more in tuned to after receiving his abilities and... killing.. others.. technically.. "Ar-ar-are you okay?" He asked?
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]Did...did Alex ask something? Gray eyes shaking unable to focus on anything. The voice sounded muffled. Focus...focus...focus on the voice. No matter what was going on, Julius needed to be there. Fortunately, he managed to catch on the second set of words. "I...I can't....I can't breathe..." he managed out with a shaky breath. This..he was sure he had seen this before right? Not that the sensation was familiar. But he had seen it...seen something like this. Someone telling him they had trouble breathing but where? Where had he seen this? Why was it so hard to collect anything. Why was it suddenly so hard to breathe? Why was everything getting blurry?[break][break]
Pale hands moved from his hair to his head. There...there wasn't any injury there. In fact, there was no pain but his hands were shaking. Focus..Julius...focus. He...he needed to figure this out. Alex...Alex was going to be alright. Focus on that..just..focus on that. Even if it felt like he was dying, he wasn't. He couldn't be. It..it just wouldn't logically make sense. "Why?" he barely managed out through his pants. "W-why....why...are you....what..." come on Julius, words! Anyone can do this! Communication was something basic for humans, it wasn't something one should be struggling. "Did..did you...kill anyone?"
Couldn't breath? He didn't understand, why was the male struggling to breath? He looked around trying to figure it out, eyes catching onto an envelope, maybe could create more air? "Yo-you need to calm..." He said softly trying to stay calm himself recalling all those memories of other lives... The lives he'd stolen before stealing their seed..
His brother asked why repeatedly before finally asking the Real question he wished to ask. Did he kill anyone. He stayed froze to the spot before giving a small sigh, "Death... Would probably had been more satisfying.. " he answered softly before continuing, "The ones... I attacked, they weren't kind to normals... They... used their powers for cruel deeds. " He sighed trying to stay calm, "I-I can take away... the pain.." He offered softly gently eyes looking down at the first aid kit, "its my power to heal... the mind..." He looked away unable to meet Julius own eyes, swallowing the saliva of his own lie. Rather than heal the mind, he merely creates a new glue that may or may not help it.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]Calm? How was Julius suppose to calm down when it was so hard to breathe. Why wasn't it affecting Alex? Then again, maybe it was a good thing it wasn't affecting Alex. It was better for it to not affect Alex, he wouldn't want his brother to go through what he was going through right now.[break][break]
But also, he needed information right now. He needed to know, was what Sandrine said true? That goal...that goal was the only thing keeping his head straight. As a magi, he needed to know. Hearing his brother saying death would have been more satisfying, caused Julius's body to stiffen. There was a small wave of relief at the revelation that Alex didn't kill them but the idea that Alex wanted to kill them? His brother had to understand, right? Killing was against the law. Their parents were murdered. Yet, Alex looked so calm saying that, talking about his magic. He truly had it then. Which meant that Sandrine had to be right.[break][break]
Gray eyes tried to focus on his brother but there was still a distant look to them. His vision still going in and out between being blurry and it's usual sharpness. What? Alex...Alex can help him. That..that was what those words meant. But, Alex was a corrupted. Corrupted were the enemies to magis. Corrupted took in many shapes, they were the skeletons on Halloween that killed indiscriminately, they were the creatures known as youmas, they were the people who took star seeds and Alex was one of them. An enemy, someone who fought in the name of chaos. But...but...Alex was his brother. Alex was family, the one who wouldn't lie to Julius. Yet hadn't he tried to earlier. But if Julius couldn't trust Alex, who was there in this world that he could trust? As much as he respected those such as Marcus or Cassian, they were never that close to him. He didn't fully let his guard down and relax around them the same way he did with Alex.[break][break]
"I...I...." what....what was he suppose to do? What was the right choice? Gray eyes once again tried to focus on the Vesper in front of him, silently imploring his brother to make the decision. Alex...Alex would alway know what was best for him, right?
The struggle written on his brother's face.... It has harsh, it was cruel. His brother couldn't even talk, couldn't even respond.... his brother would never understood, he knew this he always knew this. Julius was caught in his ways, he only figured this out.... After his many starseed stealing crimes.. Killing those seeking to stop chaos, pleasing his vice. He took a deep shaking breath, "I-I...I'm sorry." He whispered taking his hand attempting to place it on his brother's head, should the hand make contact.. He'd flash the images of his own experience first being attacked by a vice. How she left him ordering him to steal the "Light" from others... Specifically aiming to show his emotions and feelings in that situation, the weight of the child... His absolute failure in that scenario dealing with such a creature.
He pulled his hand back calmly waiting for his brother to understand... Just what he had done, what he had shown.. His hand soon attempting to make contact again to show all of Julius Actions protecting citizens, how much he felt pride for it. How he only noticed this.. after he had became corrupted. He couldn't speak.. Couldn't trust himself to speak, wishing hoping his memories.. His emotions would help ease whatever his brother was going through.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]Julius can remember the many times Alex would hold his hand during their younger days. They were rather common back then, whenever the two would walk to the bus or walk through the city together. There was a sense of safety in holding Alex's hand, of knowing that his brother was there. Yet, this was different. Holding hands back then did not give him visions as it did now. Not just visions but emotions, emotions that weren't his own. They were Alex's...and he can feel it. Alex holding a child and the fear and panic that only added to Julius's own already turbulent emotions. It was hard to distinguish his own from Alex's as Alex made the wish only to be called a liar. Then there was a woman, the woman who corrupted Alex and the pain. The burning sensation and...[break][break]
And it was gone. It was thankfully gone and Julius once again found himself gasping for air. This...it...Alex's hand was coming back and the prosecutor slapped the older Vesper's hand away. "Don't touch me!" he shouted out before the words had a chance to process through his mind. That..it was..no...he couldn't..."you..." he started unsure of what to say. Because...if...if that was Alex's wish...to have a family a real family...one where Alex didn't have to be a parent, didn't have to grow up so fast.[break][break]
It was Julius's fault.[break][break]
Perhaps it shouldn't have surprised him and in all honesty, a part of Julius wasn't surprised. He had those fears, it was part of the reason why he had moved out. He didn't want to be a burden but it was too late. He...he was a part of this? It had been his fault that Alex couldn't live the life he wanted, have the family he wanted because of course Julius wasn't enough. The nagging thought had always been in the back of his mind whenever he saw a normal family. A family was usually at least made of three people, not just two. How could someone like Julius be a good replacement? If, he had been a better younger brother. If he had been more independent, maybe none of this would have happened. He knew in the back of his mind, despite their childish promise of being partners, that had never been the case. Partnership meant equals and Julius was nothing compared to Alex. Not in how much he depended on the other.[break][break]
"I'm..." he began unable to look at his brother in the eye as he took a deep breath. The shaking was still there but Julius needed to put Alex first. "I'm..I'm so sorry..." Because it had been his fault and he didn't know how to fix this. He wasn't sure if he could even fix this. Again, slowly his hand reached up to clutch a portion of his hair in an attempt to stabilize himself. "What...what am I...." he began, his voice slightly cracking as grief poured into his voice. Again, he let out a shaky breath as he tried to calm down his breathing despite the panic sensation. "What am I supposed to do?"[break][break]
As a magi he needed to fight Alex but Alex was the only family he had left. He had a duty, a duty to protect others. No matter how Alex might feel, Julius couldn't let him hurt other people and collect their starseed. But...Alex...Alex could never be wrong, right?
