Chaos is known as the being that never became a star. It is everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time.
Neither good nor evil, the ultimate expression of nothingness. The antithesis of the cosmos, creation itself.
Although Chaos claims to be the very state of existence from which the first entities appeared, it cannot form into the entity it wants most.
So it has been cursed to stay in the form of a dark and shapeless void. Floating between existence and nonexistence.
Longingly watching as stars are constantly born and lives are lived. The seeds of malice had been planted, flourished and transformed Chaos into the purest form of evil.
Today was unique for a few reasons, the first being that Oscar was venturing out from the comforts of what he had known and visited Lovure for the first time ever. Even as a child his family never explored the remnants of Old Paris. The other reason was that Oscar had stopped all work for this trip, he had seen rumors on a local internet message board posting that within Tuileries Palace was but an exposed tower that had crowded away. If you were to look up at night through the crumbling beams and exposed roof you would see one of the most magnificent sights in term of star gazing. Oscar debated for the last couple of days if he was going to come down here but the thoughts of seeing the stars from a different angle, possibly even getting closer to them then before. The wunderlust, desire to see them drove him to the decision and a few days later Oscar had made his way to the palace.
Getting here was a chore, multiple taxis, public transport, etc. Not being able to drive himself was a problem so that's why he chose to leave so early in the morning. As the sun just started to rise he finally made it into the grand gates that still was an impressive work of architecture even though they were rusted. It would have been no earlier than nine-thirty in the morning when he had finally made it into the grounds of Tuileries Palace.
He was careful moving, being out here alone was defiantly a dumb idea, Oscar was already regretting not asking Julius to come with him or even that young spirited Jayce he had met the other day. The boy especially always seemed willing to lend a hand, plus he wouldn't have to worry about others smelling what he was smoking. He chuckled as he wheeled himself around. The building being old in design was not very wheelchair accessible however, Oscar knew a few tricks to get into places he shouldn't have with his chair. Backing up onto the steps from behind, he wiggled his body forward and back and in a brief split of a second used his motion to make a small bunny hop that could just clear the stairs. A loud grunt escaped as he repeated this a few more times before finally making it to the grand entrance.
The stonework of the building was astonishing, intricate and decorative imagery/patterns filled the walls and with a big push, a loud screech and dust flying everywhere, Oscar had managed to open the doors to the building. It felt like a haunted house for a few seconds, it was dead silent in here currently yet the air felt thick, it was as if there was other life here, yet, Oz could see nothing. His first stop would be to find the beautiful gardens he had heard about and relax in the lovely weather that was to come before figuring out a way to get to the west wing and up the stairs so he could see the stars from a new angle.
“Let's hope everything goes smoothly today.” He spoke to himself as he located the famous garden and was amazed from the beautiful flowers. It surely was a sign that even when all is lost, destroyed and forgotten life could still fight. Using the camera on his phone he started to take pictures of the flowers and scenery, he wouldn't come here again so why not make the most of it?
[newclass=.cred]text-align:center;font-size:9px;color:rgb(132, 132, 132);font-family:verdana;margin-top:5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred a]color:rgb(132, 132, 132);font-size:9px;font-family:verdana;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconbl]padding:15px;height:100px;width:100px;border:1px solid #777;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconimage]-moz-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;-webkit-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;-o-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconh]-moz-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;-webkit-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;-o-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;opacity: 0;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconh:hover]-moz-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;-webkit-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;-o-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;opacity:1;[/newclass]
Dita opened her eyes and stared up at the sky above. It was much brighter now that it was earlier in the morning. She was jolted awake by the sound of camera shutters. Well, it was the artificial kind that you hear from phones. Someone else was in the garden?
She sat up quickly, patting the leaves off of her hoodie and briefly glancing around. The source of the camera sounds appeared to be a man on a wheelchair taking pictures of the garden with his phone.
Her sudden appearance from behind the flower bushes must have surprised him as well and the two made eye contact. A few seconds later, Dita ducked back down quickly, blushing a bit. She was out on her usual early morning jog and stopped by the garden to take a quick break. She didn't mean to but it seemed she actually fell asleep, and now there were other people around. They must think she was a weirdo for napping in the garden like that.
Slowly, she sat up again and peered from behind the bushes. Who was that guy anyway? People didn't usually go there this early. And to make things even more peculiar, he was on a wheelchair. As far as she knew, the palace wasn't exactly wheelchair-friendly. Soon her embarrassment started to turn into suspicion and wariness.
Oscar got some good photos of the flowers and plants, he was happy with the scenery. Relaxing in a sense however he turned his body around within a quick motion, his thumb slipping on the button on his phone to take a picture as a girl sprung forth from the bushes as if she was a jack in the box. Their eyes met as he snapped a photo of the young girl before she ducked back down. The photo itself was blurry from the movement of said girl.
Oscar knew this area had a higher poverty rate then New Paris itself but he did not expect to see a squatter sleeping in the bushes of the gardens. This area just didn't seem too practical to sleep in over night, exposed to the elements surely lead to health problems every now and then. He didn't know what to say, he just stood at the bush waiting to see the girl pop back up again....It was a real person, right?
He double checked the camera and relieved any budding paranoia that he was going insane and seeing little girls in flower bushes spring forth. “Sorry, I didn't expect someone to be living here.”
Oscar said this non-nonchalantly, he didn't want to upset or make the girl angry, homeless people after all were quite dangerous.

Upon hearing the man's words, Dita's immediate reaction was to stand up straight, waving her arms in front of her and blushing furiously. His misunderstanding was even worse than she thought.
"No no no! I d-don't live here! I just fell asleep! By accident!"
Overcome with embarrassment, she all but forgot that she was being suspicious of the guy just moments ago. A guy in a wheelchair couldn't be dangerous right? She stepped out of the bushes in full view of the guy while brushing off some more leaves that had stuck to her hoodie and pants. There was a leaf or two stuck in her long hair as well but she didn't notice these, her eyes focused on the stranger. She was definitely looking at him, but avoiding direct eye contact.
"I was out on my morning jog and took a break. I didn't mean to sleep here. I didn't mean it. It just sorta happened."
Though she was probably doing a terrible job of explaining herself, at the very least her outfit would indicate she wasn't some poor homeless person. She may have been a bit sloppy, but her trainers always made sure she had top of the line athletic wear. At the moment though, she just wanted an excuse to run away.
The girl sprung forth again as if she were doing jumping jacks. She was furiously blushing and it was clear she embarrassed. Oscar blushed in return, natural reaction kicked in and he shook his head furiously. “No.No.No.No. Sorry for assuming.”
He wanted the situation to calm down, before she or him made a fool of themselves in front of the other but that's when he noticed her clothing. She must have been some superstar athlete or something, expensive runners were noticed by the older male. Oscar was jealous, if only he could use his legs and feet like that. Oscar did wear runners still, but he really didn't need to....
He didn't show any visible signs of jealously but the underlying tone was there. Flashbacks of when he was a child playing sports crashed into his mind like a wave and all he could think was 'why?' It was as if he was drifted off to a distant land, just ignoring the surroundings and this girl as his mind trapped him briefly in those memories. He quickly came back though as he listened to her.
Just resting after her morning jog? He wondered how far she traveled to come out to Tuileries Palace. “Ah I came to look at the stars tonight, haven't been here before so wanted to spend the day here.” Oscar didn't need to explain himself to someone much younger then he, however, it felt right too after all she seemed friendly enough and wasn't rude. The girl was cute, like a precious doll that just blushed furiously.
“Sorry for startling you, My name's Oscar.” He let out a hand for her to shake as his rosy cheeks calmed down and his composed smile remained.

It appeared the misunderstanding was cleared up in the end and Dita sighed with relief. She was definitely not the best when interacting with strangers, more so with this situation catching her off guard. The man was understanding enough and his attempt to diffuse the situation by talking about his reason for being there was something she was thankful for. He was doing a lot better than Dita anyway.
The girl took a few deep breaths to calm down as she processed his words. She knew for sure that they didn't go there for the same reasons. Dita picked that place to take a break because people didn't normally go there at that time. To some extent she could appreciate how pretty the garden was, but she just wasn't much of a history and flowers person to really fully value them. The quiet was nice and the view was refreshing. That was it. Still it was a strange thing talking about stars when the night was still quite far off.
He apologized for startling her and introduced himself as Oscar, extending his hand. Maybe surprisingly in contrast to her actions until now, she wasn't too reluctant to take the hand and shake. Handshakes and congratulations happened so often in her life that it didn't phase her much anymore.
"I-I'm Dita. Sorry for being a mess. I'm just not in top form today. It's nice to meet you Mr. Oscar."
Her words came out right for the most part. But the nervousness in her tone was still somewhat noticeable. It was an improvement at least. Even she wasn't fond of being out of it for long. Calming down and trying to look composed was something she practiced almost daily and she had to show something for it.
It seemed to be all a misunderstanding and the situation was defusing as it was noticeable that the girl was still a tad nervous from the way she spoke but she had calmed down quite a bit with the handshake Oscar could tell as such as their hands we had contact. She had surprisingly soft skin, but her name seemed somewhat familiar. “Hmmm...Dita was it?”
Oscar smiled with a hand over his head, he was in a light hear ted mood and wanted the teenage girl to feel relaxed, the name, however did seem familiar. Oscar just couldn't place his finger on it, it was like grains of sand slipping through the hand. Oz just couldn't grasp where he had heard or seen the name before. It would have been rude to google her name right? Oscar shook his head and ruffled his hair, a quite sigh escaped his lips as he forgot about figuring out how he knew her for now.
“Are you hungry or thirsty? I brought food in my backpack, there's more then enough.” A simple gesture as he reached behind the wheelchair grabbing the bag that he kept his laptop and essentials in, bringing it to his lap he opened it and revealed a small lunch box. Oscar smiled, “I'm sure you must be hungry after your run.”
Opening the lunch box there was some simple foods such as biscuits, fruit, cheese. Little snack food to ease one through the day, hopefully Dita appreciated the offer and didn't think of Oscar as some creep. He just wanted to be friendly, after all it wasn't every day he got to spend the day not worrying about work and instead focusing on just enjoying what was happening and the events to come, the stars were something he was excited to see and he hoped he could talk about them soon.

By all rights she should be more suspicious and cautious. But food being offered and laid out in front of her made her display momentary weakness, her eyes lighting up at the sight of the lunch box's contents. It wasn't anything grand in particular, but Dita was more of a snack food person anyway.
It was a conflicting dilemma. She was of course very interested in eating. But her timid, kind self was having trouble accepting charity from a guy in a wheelchair. If anything, she should be the one offering something. Maybe even push him around. In the end it was the rumbling of her tummy that answered for her. She did fall asleep a little longer than expected and it was almost lunch time.
"Ughh, I feel bad about it but yes I could use a bite. I don't think I'll make it to the store."
She slumped back on the ground in a seated kneeling position with her head down and sighing.
"I'll pay you back though!"
Her hands shuffled through her pockets for her wallet as she momentarily forgot where she put it.
The young girl looked hesitant at first however the sound of a rumbling stomach gave the truth away. Oscar chuckled at the situation, it felt surreal in a sense. Like a bad romantic comedy or anime, except this was real life.
Oscar was surprised when the girl said shed pay him back. Was it generosity or did she perhaps feel sorry for taking food from a man in a wheelchair. “You don't need to pay me back, Dita. This isn't much at all.”
He gave her a warm smiled as he took some of the food himself, and happily snacked on it. The salty flavors of chips were always a somewhat guilty pleasure for him. Oscar never really ate the most healthy food but he never splurged either, except for potato chips. Looking down at the girl as she sat down. “Tell me about yourself, Dita. Are you a runner? Or was this just training for something else?”
When he spoke of the word running Oz's eyes lit up with a twinkle, he desired to run again....
“Do you go to school or?” Oscar was getting awkward again, he really didn't know what to talk about or how to approach talking to someone so much younger.

Having been blessed in more ways than one, Dita was not very receptive to charity. Due to her kind nature, she would always feel indebted to someone whenever she receives something from them, even if they say that she didn't have to pay them back. It just didn't sit right with her. And so when Oscar mentioned that he didn't need monetary compensation, the girl's first thought was to wonder if there was anything else she could do for him instead.
"I'd r-really hate to just have some of you food without at least doing something for you in re-"
Perhaps it was due to her being nervous and flustered taking its toll. Before she could finish her sentence, as she tried to stand back up, she had a misstep on an uneven part of the ground, causing her to fall forward face flat on the grass. Normally she would have been able to break her fall with her arms but the thoughts clouding her focus dulled her reactions.
She didn't even get to hear the rest of Oscar's attempts at making a conversation as she was too busy blushing deep red in embarrassment from her face-plant. Somehow part of her didn't feel like getting back up from there anytime soon.
Oscar laughed, such innocence in the youth these days was a cute thing, however, how was he going to explain to Dita that she didn't need to return the favor, especially because it was just some snack food. Maybe the young girl didn't understand the value of the food he gave her but there defiantly wasn't a need to pay him back. That's when Oscar noticed Dita had fallen over and was blushing pure crimson. It was a cute sight however Oscar didn't want the girl to be embarrassed around him, he felt like partly this was his fault and didn't want to make the girl worse then she was.
He moved over and grabbed a hold of a hand of hers, he started to pull to help the girl up so she would get up however it felt a tone of rocks were attached to her hips. Oscar's upper body strength was quite strong, however in this brief moment no matter how hard he pulled he could not lift the girl up...But there wasn't too much thought as the next pull hoisted her up. Oscar was perplexed to say the least, all of a sudden she was as light as a feather when before he could swore she wasn't. “I must be out of shape, I can't even lift up a tiny girl first try.”
“You ok though, Dita? No injuries?”

The entity of magic attuned itself to the star seed's location. It ripped itself through the fabrics of time and space as it traveled to its desired location. The entity's appearance caused the flow of time to stagnate for all but the magi, and the boy whom he sought. The two's perception of reality began to change. [break][break] "Tell me, OSCAR BROWN , what is it you desire most?" [break][break] OSCAR BROWN • Dita Fluegel [break]
[ OOC INFORMATION ] [break][break] • A chance awakening! You have 48 hours from the date of this post to respond!
Oscar had never taken drugs before he so wouldn't know what a bad trip was but if movies, television and the internet had taught him something it surely was this. His mind was blank for briefest of moments as he helped Dita up and that was the last thing he could remember but he awoke to vivid colors swirling around a blank canvas. Bright lights flashed like fireworks exploding but disappeared just as quickly as they sprouted forth.
He was scared...Confused, he wasn't ready for what was about to happen
A voice boomed with power and the very core of Oscar shook, it startled him as he started to slowly rock in anticipation, hairs standing on his skin and his heart fluttering so hard it felt as if it could just burst out of his chest any moment. The aura of the entity was like nothing he had experienced before; Oscar could only describe it as if he was but a grain of sand at the bottom of an endless ocean.
Yet the only constant to this surreal experience was that the young girl, Dita was also here but looked somewhat more composed than he. So unless Oscar liked this girl so much he was dreaming of otherworldly beings and her at the same time, this was but real and the feeling known as fear struck him even harder. It was like hundreds of arrows punctured his body, the pressure in this space was not like anything he had experienced before and in fear he answered. Tears rolled down his face as his lips exposed the truth of his desires, never showing this much passion for anything before he screamed. “ID DO ANYTHING TO WALK...TO FLY. ANYTHING!”
This was by no means a pretty site, seeing a grown man break down and have no mental toughness to hold back his emotions to this extent. Oscar was but in a primal state, his feelings and being all projected out for whatever had torn him from the world and placed him here where there was nothing but the ball of light and the teenage girl. Yet he continued to scream, his voice showing how desperate he truly was as it carried the tones of not only his passion but his grief, years of holding himself together washed away in an instant. “God...Please let me walk. Please.”
This otherworldly experience could only be described as god, right? There was never such a thing as magic, even if his friend Julius tried to say otherwise yet Oscar wasn't a man of religion either and yet here he was begging to god. He kept repeating himself, he couldn't get a grip because deep down he knew this would be the only way to actually run again and making a deal with god, the devil, or whoever had the power to make this happen surely could make him an able body again.
“Please”

[break] He could hear the desperation in Oscar's voice, the longing, and yearning to have his feet grace the floor again. It was a wish of a pure and innocent nature and one that Malakai could easily grant. The ball of light that floated before Oscar and the young girl began to expand. It's form swirling and shifting as it rotated faster and faster. Until from within it's endless rotating brilliance stepped forth a man of massive size. Easily seven feet in height with muscles that put even the most fit of athletes to shame. In odd contrast to his imposing stature was the delicate nature of face. Auburn locks draped over it and framed his face in an elegant manner. "Such a pure desire and a wish so easy to grant." he spoke, his voice echoing through the expanse that surrounded them.[break][break]
Malakai stepped towards the boy, bending down to his knees so that he was remotely level with Oscar. He outstretched his hand and caressed the boy's cheek. He whipped away at the tears streaming down from the boy's face. "Do not cry Oscar for I have to come grant you what you desire most." his tone was stern almost fatherly in the way in which he spoke to the boy. "To do this however you must pay a price. I cannot grant you power for nothing in return." he pulled away Oscar, once again standing above him. "You will become my champion Oscar and fight as a warrior on my behalf. We are at war with powerful forces Oscar and the light needs soldiers to combat it. he stared down at Oscar with stern and focused eyes.[break][break]
"If you accept these terms all you need to do is speak your wish aloud once more and I will grant it. Once you do this however there is no going back to the life you once lived. You will be mine from now until forever." [break][break]
Everything seems to have a way to work out he thought as the ball of light exploded into a beautiful array of lights and before Oscar stood a man who preached how easy and simple it would be to fulfill his wish. Sniffling as he spoke Oscar was so overwhelmed from what was happening he was frozen as the giant of a male walked towards him, words trying to escape his lips as the giant held his face and wiped any tears away. “G...G..God?”
But this is where reality started to set in, the words 'I cannot grant you power for nothing in return' resonated within him, you see Oz was never a man to believe in religion however he knew if there was a God the supposedly almighty didn't need to make deals with people but in religion there was always one figure who made deals with people in exchange for what they wanted and in the scriptures said deals never worked out or went well. Of cause he was thinking of Satan himself, but this man was so caring and had a warm aura about him, however, Oscar could have been blinded from the offer before him.
He was never a fighter, not that he couldn't but he was a rather peaceful and docile person. Why would someone want him as a champion? He was a background character that just did his thing, but this being whether he be God, the Devil or someone else that Oz couldn't even begin to comprehend wanted him to pick up arms and fight evil? He didn't understand any of it but would he ever get a chance to fix his legs and walk? Oscar couldn't think straight and perhaps that was the reason he agreed...
“I ACCEPT, FIX ME.”
He screamed at the top of his lounges as his eyes closed, terrified of what he had just agreed to.
