Johanna certainly wouldn't call it a slow day, that was setting up the entire department for a crazy afternoon if they ever caught break. Not to mention it was a running joke among almost any profession not to 'jinx' themselves by saying it's slow or quiet. But.. it honestly was, and though tempted as she was to call in the towel and head home for the day she was a bit reluctant to do that as well.

Being at home was.. empty, lonely maybe. Despite the devastating loss of her fiance a little over five years ago, she hadn't really found anything to fill the void. Some suggested getting a dog or some kind of animal but even then she was reluctant, she didn't like to be at home, stagnant and Sigrun certainly was appalled at the suggestion to do something like that. But this wasn't any better, a slow glance to the side, away from the cards she held in her hand to look at the statuesque figure that only she could see.

Golden wings were tucked behind her and the mask she wore gave way to no expression, in fact Johanna couldn't remember a single time she had seen the spirits face. Whenever she thought of the spirit she thought of the stoic mask that covered it. "'Ey, 'ey! No cheating!"

Rolling her eyes back to her companion who was nice— or just bored enough, to entertain a game of cards she scoffed, dropping her hand away from her chin to shift and lean back into the chair. "Cheat? You're across dumb-ass, unless the window's gonna spout the cards you're holding."

"You never know!" Her companion joked, pulling out a couple cards to lay them on the table.

"Jo!"

Looking away from the table of cards and toward one of the other firefighters she moved to sit up, arms resting against her knees. "Over here!"

It took only a moment for the other to find her, an uncomfortable look on his face that almost spoke volumes about how reluctant he seemed over something. "What's up?" She rose a brow, setting her cards face down.

"Someone's here to see you."

"Me?" That was unusual, though she did have a plethora of friends and acquaintances very few outside the fire station ever actually sought her out and half the time it was for a drink.

"Yeah, some younger lookin' guy, bout yay high," She could almost snort at the description as her friend rose his hand up to define the height. "Black hair, with white tips." His hands gestured to bangs he didn't have framing the side of his face. "Ring any bells?"

"Not in the slightest, tap in?" She drummed her fingers against her face down cards and the serious expression immediately lifted from the firefighters face as he moved over to take her spot as she stood. The shifting of armor didn't cause Johanna to even pause, it was a familiar sound and despite the spirit not having a physical form it was almost indignant about being left behind or even walking through walls and such. Like it desired to be.. what it was again, because she wasn't human that was for sure.

So it followed her around the corner, a straight posture, stiff almost with shoulders taught. It easily was pushed to the back of her mind as she rounded the corner to the front area, catching their guest standing there. "You.. You're looking for me?" She was almost hesitant, unsure of what this stranger could possibly want, or how they even knew her. "Can I.. uh, help you?" She ventured out, stopping only a few feet away from him. Her expression was wary and obviously so, having no desire to hide it.
