Cool, calm and collected, the mysterious magician speaks in rhymes and lingers with a slight, idle smile. Not one for extended idle talk, don't be offended if he stands in your presence with nothing to say and a simple, friendly expression on offer; courteous as he is distant, there will be no trouble for you if you bring no trouble for him. Surprising to some, for one of his appearance, he is seemingly devoid of much emotion or vigor, an air about him as if he were a force of nature instead of a person. Ask him for help, ask him for advice, you may even ask him for a trick; however, you'd likely be wasting your time if you tried to find out what makes him tick.

Highly intelligent and subtly welcoming in his demeanor, Cassian is an interesting individual that piques the curiosity of many, be it for his tricks, his appearance or the manner of how he speaks. Open to lending a hand or giving advice, the vessel is sagely for his years, the prodigious mind of the performer appreciated by those in need. The magician is also of an erudite nature, keen to learn about subjects which take his attention; he is more likely to interact enthusiastically with those harboring a clever mind, especially of the magical topics. Polite and somewhat warm to those who are graceful and friendly toward him, those who manage to befriend the seemingly detached sorcerer have gained a strong ally indeed.

Peculiar, while his aesthetics may dazzle some, others view the mage as strange or negatively odd. Distant with tones of melancholy, Cassian's general aura may not mesh well with many, making others prone to moving away from him or getting aggravated by his lack of involvement with their affairs. While speaking in rhymes for trivial things can be a bother to him, Cassian can be in the presence of others without muttering a word for extended amounts of time, his silence or brief gestures being viewed as rude or unfriendly and turning some away from interactions with him. He generally dislikes those who have no etiquette, are obnoxiously loud or those who attempt to roughly invade his personal space. While not typically violent, Cassian is known to be brutal and precise in exacting the consequences upon those who have significantly wronged him or another he deems worth protecting.

Love is a concept known by Cassian but not usually felt; he is capable of the emotion and while heterosexual, his behavior and mentality links him very closely to asexuality too. Not opposed to relationships, the vessel is also incredibly aware of his situation - a rhyming, pale magician who dresses quite vibrantly due to his "curse". Indeed, Cassian knows he must not come across as the most sensible option for most women. Due to this, the sorcerer is not one to chase and is more than content with spending his time acquiring more knowledge and spell-power. The most he may normally feel for a woman he is fond of is the sense to protect them and ensure none give them discomfort - acting more as a guardian instead of a lover. However, all locks must surely have a key.
[attr="class","box"]okay so taking first in this plotter~. i don't have much of a good concrete idea but i was thinking maybe julius has been dragged to one of cassian's shows by a friend before he got his power and therefore didn't really believe in magic. and maybe the two could have something of a debate or cassian could roll his eyes at julius because yeah, he's one of those. then pass a few months later or something and maybe julius was trying to get a corrupted and using his magic and he runs into cassian who sees him doing magic and that could interest him? because what the heck, this guy has magic now? and if cassian uses his magic blatantly in front of julius afterwards, julius could be like "wait your magic was real the whole time? what the heck? what was your wish?" and the two could try to figure out magic together? julius is still very new to magic while cassian has actually been studying it over the years. at the same time though, teaching could also be a good form of learning and understanding magic, so that could help cassian with his quest as well.
julius also wouldn't mind the fact that cassian doesn't talk very much if only because well, julius is rather withdrawn so he doesn't mind just having a companionable silence. although outside of magic, i don't know if they would really interact much.

Since we are both going to be in the event in some nature or another, that could be a great way for the two of them to witness each other using true magic in serious circumstances, especially if the 'dead' are rising up and making a mess of things in the area. Would you like to allude that Julius had seen Cassian perform in the past alone or would you like to do some type of past thread where Julius and his buddy (or even J on his own if he got lost/split up briefly on a detour from his friend) were roaming the carnival isles until they came across the mysterious magician's stand? Either works!
The idea of them aligning to benefit the other is grand too; especially because the being powering Cassian's magic is essentially a madness-inducing mass killer of the past, since Julius is a hater of crime and all that. Of course, Cassian isn't like his vessel spirit at all, so it's generally something he doesn't talk about nor bring to much light. Especially since that spirit is always messing with him, not to mention the "curse" of rhyming and such it put on him to begin with. Cassian would like learning about how the magi class work first hand, and it'd be interesting to gauge how Julius responds with seeing a different form of magic to his own, especially since no wishes or such were involved on the magician's part.
Enjoying some purpose in his life every now and then, I can definitely imagine Julius requesting Cassian to "support" him if he ever had to do something dangerous like apprehend someone or visit a shady place etc. assuming that is something he'd ask for! They'd make for a strange looking duo moving around, haha. Cassian would most likely assist. And yes, comfortable and courteous silences in between intellectual talk.

yeah, if cassian, actually share that, julius would have mixed feelings. on one hand, he'd totally would respect cassian for you know fighting against his spirit to be a good person. but on the other hand, there would also be that worry of what would happen if cassian loses. so if that ever happens, it could be an interesting dynamic. if not then we can keep it with julius never finding out, i'm up for either one.
and honestly with julius learning a magic that is different from his own, he would definitely be surprised by the concept of just you know, someone being born with it. like how many of you are there? how have i not known any of this existed before? just how much am i missing? and he would probably be really curious about the magic world if only so he can try to find a way to use it to help people but also know what danger he has to protect normal civilians from.
at the beginning julius would probably more likely have himself or the police but someone into custody if only because he does have that worry and belief that civilians shouldn't risk themselves. however, later i can see it being possible for him to ask cassian, especially when he knows he can also trust cassian to you know, apprehend the criminal. like it's one thing to fight corruption together because that's their job, but it's not exactly cassian's job to deal with criminals. and i can also see him probably try to compensate cassian afterwards as well. and yes, just these two duos trying to get something over the criminals. i can just imagine julius inwardly dying the first few times that you know "yes, i am working with a clown magician to apprehend these dangerous gang members..this is my reality now"
Sounds good to me; it might take me a few days to put down a starter since I've got work today, may or may not have time to post tomorrow depending on what happens, then I'm out most parts of Monday. So either Sunday or Tuesday should be a good time for me to get a starter out, though feel free to do one instead if that's too long!
I think the best way for it to go is to probably just let them at each other and see what comes out! Cassian is pretty distrustful to most at a deeper level, so any valuable information about his past/situation probably won't come out too quickly unless it was for a certain purpose.
Lolol, "I need the clown magician for this one". Yeah, Julius probably wouldn't have expected that kind of line to be spoken in his line of work, though it'll be fun. I'm even interested myself to see how Cassian will react and go with all of these new ideas, so it's gonna be something to see if it goes how we imagined or much differently!
The way I see it, this meeting is either going to go really beneficial for both of them, or crash and burn. Unlike Cassian who has 'accepted' his spirit, even when they have their disagreements, Marius is still trying to wrap his mind around the fact that there is this otherworldly presence in existence. He knows what he is. He knows what his body is holding. He also knows the bare minimal of what is going on in the world. The situation is that he does not know what to make of these information, and finds himself somewhat lost and missing direction. He doesn't even outright participate in this 'war' against Chaos, only being forced - more often than not - to defend himself against its agents out of necessity. The way I see it, Cassian can either see this as an opportunity to establish a relationship with another vessel. A partnership of sorts, one being the brain and the other, well, being the firepower.
On the other hand, Marius may find his personality irksome, the man more of the to-the-point kind of individual. He dislikes beating around the bush, and even more so, riddles. He never attended school past the age of thirteen, and suffice to say, he carries more street than educational in terms of smarts. He is abrasive and hard to talk to, and that may serve to draw Cassian's ire as well. So, yeah, this two's interaction could really go either way, and it'll be fun to see how they develop from there.
Alec can be considered like, a walking contradiction. He is imaginative, which he needs to be as he is studying media and communication in the university. At the same time, he has absolutely no knowledge of the otherworldy entities that roam the world, and he would be deeply skeptical at any attempts to prove otherwise. Magic. Tricks. Fake, he'd claim. Even then, if there is irrefutable evidence, Alec would most likely - out of fear - deny it. He's an intellectual person, but hard-headed, and though he might find Cassian amusing, he'd probably dismiss any attempts of the vessel to inform him of 'magic' as insane. He does enjoy riddles, and anything that gets the gears of his mind rolling, so if the conversational topic was anything else other than, well, magic, he would definitely be up for it.
In terms of Marius, it's definitely an interesting one. I'm not so sure how it'd turn out with both of them together in the same room, especially since Cassian will generally not speak unless he feels he needs to or has motivation to. I think if they met each other randomly without much to go by, they will probably not have much to say to one another and unless some type of scuffle breaks out, they'll both be on their way. If they had to team up with one another for whatever reason, that'd also be a curious sight since it's kind of like fire and ice (personality-wise, that is). With this ice being particularly dark and brutal when pressed and Marius' fire seeming to be rough and formidably skilled in combat too. Whatever they'd be teaming up against would be in serious trouble, that's a given. Cassian's dynamic would probably be quite different to what Marius is used to, so I think whatever situation they meet in could determine the resulting path of the future relationship. What type of work/activities/schemes is Marius currently/planned to be involved in that may give their paths a crossing?
As far as Alec goes, I like what he's about though with the magician being how he is, he probably would pay no mind to him and view him as nothing more than a civilian/spectator. I'm not sure Cassian would go out of his way to change his mind about anything unless it were incredibly important, though if Alec ever doubted the world around him and freaked out over finally accepting the existence of magic...then he may offer the stranger a helping word or two on the subject of the mystical, should he find a reason to ask him.
The way I see it, then, the only interaction that would have, say, development to it would be with Marius, wouldn't it? I'd say, we can have them maybe find themselves in the middle of a wanton attack by Chaos, and both of them, being in preferably a secluded area, forced to work together, or at the very least, ally up in order to make it out of the ambush. At the very least, this would add some history for future interactions to be built on, and not just have them 'random meet and talk'.
Haha yeah, I'm not a fan of random "bump into each other and chat" threads so that works out fine. I like the idea of them both being the target of wanton chaotic danger. I think it can work well because with the both of them being in close proximity to one another at the time, two vessels like that being in the same destination could definitely give a type of energy indication to any chaos agents on the prowl who'd be like "hang on, there's TWO magical beings over this way" which definitely gives them a reason to dig up some trouble for Cassian and Marius. And then once things start kicking off and they find themselves both fighting the same ambush, their interactions will naturally switch on from there.
