Chaos is known as the being that never became a star. It is everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time.
Neither good nor evil, the ultimate expression of nothingness. The antithesis of the cosmos, creation itself.
Although Chaos claims to be the very state of existence from which the first entities appeared, it cannot form into the entity it wants most.
So it has been cursed to stay in the form of a dark and shapeless void. Floating between existence and nonexistence.
Longingly watching as stars are constantly born and lives are lived. The seeds of malice had been planted, flourished and transformed Chaos into the purest form of evil.
The higher the elevator went up the bigger Oscar's anticipation or rather excitement for what he was about to see. He had never been to the Eiffel tower, and although he had seen pictures of the magnificent heights and views the tower held being able to experience it first hand was something else. The elevator stopped and the doors opened, Julius was kind enough to let Oscar out first and he raced to the window and looked below. His jaw dropped from the beauty of New Paris, Oz couldn't believe it. His eyes sparkled in admiration this was singly one of the most breath taking experiences to date.
“Wow it's amazing up here. The views are lovely and yes if you would.” He turned around and smiled for Julius who would end up taking the photo of him. Oscar never was photogenic per say, yet for some reason he seemed to light up the room in this very moment. “I wonder what it looks like up here at night, I think it'd be very pretty. The stars would be something else.”
He pondered his musing out loud as he looked all around, his eyes burning the imagery in his mind. Oscar would never forget this day and was so happy that Julius had organized it, he owed him one. “Thanks for taking me here, Julius. I do really appreciate it.”
Oscar couldn't show enough gratitude towards his friend, over the past week the two had formed a very strong relationship that was more then just seeing each other every now and then. They often had coffee together in the morning, spoke about work together and even as of recently started to open up more to one another.
Looking at the picture revealed an abnormality though, Oscar couldn't really believe it but there looked like snowflakes in the pictures. Outside there wasn't any that he could see, but then he wasn't really paying attention. Now that his mind was focused he could see it... “Uh, Julius. Do you see what I see in the background of this picture.”

Oscar hated people...No, that was a lie he didn't hate people but rather hated the bullshit they spewed. What he hated truly was crowds and getting through them so Oscar wore a smug smile as he was able to just bypass the line heading into Flamingo. Although getting in was another story, a brutish women wearing a suite and glasses stopped him. He hadn't seen her before as a bouncer normally Jon was the man who guarded the door and Oz never needed to go through all this if he came here which wasn't often at all. “Is Jon around, he knows me. I fix the sound and lights.”
He sighed, Oscar never really dealt with the boss. Even when he was first contacted it was done via email and never in person, so while he knew the boss he had actually never met him in person. “Look you can let me in and escort me if your that worried so I can get the job done or we can wait around here arguing and these people out here are going to be upset that when they attend their favorite night club the music is crap quality.”
“Well what do you say?” Oscar sighed he didn't want to be at here any longer then he had to and this girl while doing her job was just making his stay out here longer than it needed to.

Signus seemed to get worked up as he mentioned that he and Julius were but neighbors in the same apartment complex. His voice raised and Oscar jumped out of shock because to say he was expecting the outburst was a lie...Signus never seemed like the type of guy to hold a grudge but man was Oscar's judgment or lack of was proven otherwise. Clenching fists as he banged the table with some force to stop the man child from acting up anymore.
“Leave him alone...” Oscar wasn't bluffing, maybe he couldn't fight the guy but Oscar had his own ways dealing with problem people like him and not to mention Julius was a really well known prosecutor and Oscar would happily tell who done it. After all Signus was just a person who made coffee and had small talk with Oscar, while Julius...Julius was someone that he cared for, he was his close friend.
“Grow up Signus...You can just put everything behind you and move on. But I promise you if you do anything to Julius or damage any of his property, losing your job wont be the only thing you'll worry about.”
Oscar was disgusted at what was happening, he had quite a vengeful streak to him and not many people knew this. After all he was but a cripple in a wheel chair. Taking another sip of his coffee to calm himself he sighed, his tone of voice calmed down and the man wasn't causing a ruckus anymore. “Sorry...Just don't do anything stupid and I'm sure there is a misunderstanding to it all because what you describe doesn't sound like Julius at all.”
It was true, dragging someone across the road and stuffing them in a bathroom...Julius couldn't even converse with people there was no way in hell he'd manhandle someone like that. It must of been a misunderstanding but the slander of his friend and any conspiracies or plans to get back at him was not something Oscar would put up with, not from Signus and not from anyone.

Ahhh...Did Oscar not tell Julius he also lost his parents long ago? He couldn't remember now that he thought about it. Asking for a recipe while normally a solid idea was but something of a pipe dream because just like the prosecutor, Oscar knew all too well what losing family was like. “Ahh...You se-”
His words cut short as if he throat was caught on something, he didn't want to sound rude or start any drama with Julius and approaching this was always a touchy subject. “I lost them when I lost my legs.” As he said this he shut down his laptop and closed, putting it back in its case. He wasn't upset but rather just wanted to leave the topic alone, uncovering old wounds was never the smartest of ideas.
Looking at his phone Oscar realized it was getting late and he had to go back and open the shop. “I hate to cut this short, Julius but I need to get back and open. We still on for Thursday?” He offered a handshake and excused himself from the table, making his way out the door and waiting for his friend to follow. Out the front he said his goodbyes and wished Julius a smooth day at work before adding, “I'm looking forward to hanging out at the Eiffel Tower.” A warm smile was shown and a final handshake before Oscar had left back for his apartment and shop.

It wasn't often Oscar had to come back out to a large scale job, most companies or business that employed Oz's service only needed him once, but tonight was one of those those rare occasions where he was called out of office hours to come and help. He was happy to, knowing the pay for this job especially out of hours was going to be more then he'd earn in a full day.
He looked at the time, it was starting to get near midnight and the night life of New Paris was just coming alive. Oscar never got to experience going clubbing or chasing girls besides his nights consisted of surfing the internet, watching various television series and attempting to sleep. Yet here he was just moments from the entrance of the night club known as Flamingo on the third floor of the Royal Crown. There was a sizable line, waiting to checked by the bouncers and let in. Luckily Oscar was going to avoid the wait, after all these people wouldn't have a good time if the sound system and lights weren't working at optimal efficiency.
But of cause there were those in the line that yelled at crude remarks to the man bound to a wheelchair, as he made his way down the path and towards the large doors coated in the iconic pink flamingo colors. Having his bag of equipment and laptop in the bag behind the wheelchair and his nicest clothes on Oz finally saw the bouncer, a female which was odd, he had never saw her before....
“Hi, I need to be let in. I'm here to fix the electronics.”
[newclass=.cred]text-align:center;font-size:9px;color:rgb(132, 132, 132);font-family:verdana;margin-top:5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred a]color:rgb(132, 132, 132);font-size:9px;font-family:verdana;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconbl]padding:15px;height:100px;width:100px;border:1px solid #777;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconimage]-moz-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;-webkit-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;-o-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconh]-moz-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;-webkit-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;-o-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;opacity: 0;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconh:hover]-moz-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;-webkit-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;-o-transition: all 0.92s ease-in-out;opacity:1;[/newclass]
It seemed even for Julius the bane of his working existence was paperwork, just like Oscar. The tedious task was something he dreaded even though he could be positive that Julius was a lot worse then his. The two males were somewhat socially awkward, however, it felt to Oscar that they both could talk about anything it was just their communication was tip-toed around by each other because both were hurt from the past and as friends they would never want to bring up the bad memories that haunted him. Well Oscar thought they haunted, Julius, being an orphan was no easy thing to grow up with even if he had his older brother to help him through it.
Oscar could remember when he was but a wee child he wished he had a younger brother or sister, someone to look after and play with. Instead his father taught him the fun and joys of stripping a computer and rebuilding it. Admittedly Oscar never got into until after he passed away but the seeds were planted from a young age. “You know I haven't had home cooked brownies before.”
“Mom use to make the best banana bread, it made me want to cook as a kid. You know, to replicate it...I never could though....Never had the delicate touch for food.” Oscar chuckled at the thought, “Always burning things haha.”

There were indeed plenty of options to choose from but just like anything the cheaper the product was the greater chance of it being manufactured poorly. Computer parts were the epitome of this, sure you could buy a $20 power supply but it will fry the system within months, that's why Oscar had to recommend the more expensive options, it wasn't for his own pocket but because the quality would be much better.
“You're not going to like the answer, but this one...” He clicked on the third item on the list so that the picture enlarged. A sigh escaped Oscar's mouth as he tried to calculate a fair price that he could give to Quinn.
“Tell me Quinn, you're in school still right?”
The question was asked because Oscar had an idea, perhaps he could organize a payment plan or for Quinn to come and help on the weekends to pay some of the cost off with labor. He didn't need the help but anything to make his job easier was always a nice treat.
“I tell you what, I'll do it for forty pounds however you'll need to do something for me...You free Sunday?”
Oscar smiled as he watched the boys reaction, “You'll be helping around here for the next two Sundays if you want me to do this.”

The young girl looked hesitant at first however the sound of a rumbling stomach gave the truth away. Oscar chuckled at the situation, it felt surreal in a sense. Like a bad romantic comedy or anime, except this was real life.
Oscar was surprised when the girl said shed pay him back. Was it generosity or did she perhaps feel sorry for taking food from a man in a wheelchair. “You don't need to pay me back, Dita. This isn't much at all.”
He gave her a warm smiled as he took some of the food himself, and happily snacked on it. The salty flavors of chips were always a somewhat guilty pleasure for him. Oscar never really ate the most healthy food but he never splurged either, except for potato chips. Looking down at the girl as she sat down. “Tell me about yourself, Dita. Are you a runner? Or was this just training for something else?”
When he spoke of the word running Oz's eyes lit up with a twinkle, he desired to run again....
“Do you go to school or?” Oscar was getting awkward again, he really didn't know what to talk about or how to approach talking to someone so much younger.

“I think if someone would have the power the only consequences would be how you use it.” Oscar honestly thought if someone could use magic they wouldn't be able to be stopped. The ability to do anything at anytime, now that was a enticing thought. He finished his second coffee and while he scrolled through the web more, nothing else really stood out. There was world news of natural disasters and politics of various countries but none of it really appealed to Oz currently. His mind was only focused on that one thread however he played it off.
Oscar yawned as he stretched his arms, it was almost time to leave and go back home to start work for the day. Julius had work also today so he didn't want to make him late, Oscar enjoyed the time he spent with the reclusive, quiet prosecutor the past twenty-four hours and knew they would enjoy more company later on. Oscar was excited to see Alex also, a man who Julius spoke about with such respect.
“I guess I look into them often, it's more just curiosity. I'll never be able to walk so I have some hope that magic is real I guess...Then I could walk.” It was such a selfish reason to want magic to exist, most people would want to better the world, yet Oscar had these dark thoughts. Desires of wanting to be free and he'd do anything, absolutely anything if it meant being able to stand up and walk around.
“What time does work start for you, Julius?” He asked curiously, Oscar never knew where exactly he worked or how far he traveled so to steer the topic away from letting him think about walking again he started to talk about Julius.

Oscar took a sip of coffee as he watched Julius examine the screen. He looked somewhat invested in the topic, it was as if he was thinking more then normal of it. Oz never thought that this prosecutor would be interested in such trivial and fantasy topics such as magic. Oscar smiled at his answer, he was surprised, Julius always seemed like a man of science so to even acknowledge the idea of 'if it hasn't been disproved, it could be real' was something of a fairy tale.
Oscar was more of a man of fact, yes he believed in science but also somewhat in religion. But the idea of magic was far-fetched for someone like him. “Oh, I'm not really...Just came up and wanted to hear your thoughts. After all if there was such a thing as magic, I'd do anything in my power to obtain it.”
It was never beneficial to talk what-ifs with Oscar, the reality was that he had no feeling or movement in his lower half, his entire life is defined by living in a wheelchair and while he wanted to change that he was told years ago it would be impossible even with advances in technology. So to say Oscar was skeptical was a fair call in his opinion, “Maybe I'm just a skeptic but I believe what I see, and I've never seen magic nor god so they doesn't exist.”
Yes that was contradictory to what he believed somewhat, because he did believe in religion however he wasn't sure if that was just because he needed something to hope about or because there was acutally a lord and savior. These types of talks were always mind boggling for him, after all how could one really understand the universe in such a way at the age of twenty-two?
“For now, I'll keep looking at the stars and maybe one day they will give me power somehow.” Oscar laughed at the thought while drinking more of his coffee. He wondered if Julius considered him strange for asking the question so he thought he'd better apologize. After all he didn't want to scare anyone off, “Sorry. I know some people get weird when these types of questions are asked.”

It seemed to be all a misunderstanding and the situation was defusing as it was noticeable that the girl was still a tad nervous from the way she spoke but she had calmed down quite a bit with the handshake Oscar could tell as such as their hands we had contact. She had surprisingly soft skin, but her name seemed somewhat familiar. “Hmmm...Dita was it?”
Oscar smiled with a hand over his head, he was in a light hear ted mood and wanted the teenage girl to feel relaxed, the name, however did seem familiar. Oscar just couldn't place his finger on it, it was like grains of sand slipping through the hand. Oz just couldn't grasp where he had heard or seen the name before. It would have been rude to google her name right? Oscar shook his head and ruffled his hair, a quite sigh escaped his lips as he forgot about figuring out how he knew her for now.
“Are you hungry or thirsty? I brought food in my backpack, there's more then enough.” A simple gesture as he reached behind the wheelchair grabbing the bag that he kept his laptop and essentials in, bringing it to his lap he opened it and revealed a small lunch box. Oscar smiled, “I'm sure you must be hungry after your run.”
Opening the lunch box there was some simple foods such as biscuits, fruit, cheese. Little snack food to ease one through the day, hopefully Dita appreciated the offer and didn't think of Oscar as some creep. He just wanted to be friendly, after all it wasn't every day he got to spend the day not worrying about work and instead focusing on just enjoying what was happening and the events to come, the stars were something he was excited to see and he hoped he could talk about them soon.

Quinn didn't seem stupid just rather....Oblivious? Yes that was the word Oscar was thinking of as he spoke about what he thought the shop did. He was right in a sense but repairing a cracked screen on a smartwatch really wasn't what his services entailed. Oscar did feel bad for him though, he didn't seem like a bad person. He sighed and nodded.
“Yeah, I am Oz.”
Another sigh escaped his lips as he deducted what he was going to say, the cost of doing these screens were by no means cheap and could this student (or well Oscar assumed he was a student) really afford it? “Normally I don't do these type of jobs, however, I do know how to replace the glass screen.”
He stopped for a moment and opened a small laptop. His head ducked down for a bit as the sound of the mechanical keyboard clattered away as he started searching prices out from the internet on the specific part he was looking for. “I can fix, I need the part though and sadly they don't come too cheap.”
Oscar turned the laptop around so Quinn could see the screen, various tabs were open on chrome in which he scrolled through showing the prices from forty-five pound to sixty pound for the more expensive thick glass that wouldn't crack so easy. “After ordering the parts, and paying for my repair fee it'll be eighty pound or so, that is a rough estimate of course it could be a little more or perhaps a little less.”
Oscar felt bad charging so much for a piece of glass but the economy wasn't the greatest and these type of intricate repairs and the parts themselves felt bad. “Well?”

“Thursday around one sounds good.” Oscar said happily as his intake of daily caffeine finally started to kick in, he could feel his brain and body just turn on as if he was hit by lightning. The energy he felt was electrifying and although Oscar always looked sleep deprived he thrived in this environment of little to no sleep.
He started typing away to put the plan in his calendar, a few clicks here and there and it was done. Possibly to others Oscar these motions were rather quick, it was just Oscar had memorized everything and knew what shortcut keys to press to make the process even faster, not to mention he typed rather fast. On his web browser the local internet forum was loaded (think reddit), users posted anonymous things on here all the time and it was a source of entertainment and information for Oscar. He finished his coffee while browsing.
“I have a few computers that will be picked up this afternoon, but besides that its more office work today. Keeping records up to date etc, would hate to be audited or something.” He shrugged and gave a soft laugh as he signaled the waiter over for another coffee, no words were needed to be exchanged after all he was a regular here. “How about you also invite your brother to come?” Julius spoke about his brother with a lot of respect and admiration so Oscar was curious to see what he was like but he also could talk tech with him which was a good change. Not many people in this area knew what he spoke about when he went on a tangent so it would have been a good change of pace.
While drinking his new coffee and talking with Julius, Oscar was multitasking and browsing the web. Hopefully he didn't think Oz was rude, however, it was his normal routine and even if there was another person here he wouldn't change that. That was when he came across a thread that spoke of a guy seeing abnormal things at night during the past week. The person posting known in internet slang as 'OP' was asking if anyone else had seen anything similar.
Most were calling the person crazy but there were a few others that confirmed they had been feeling odd / seeing things they couldn't explain. Oscar never commented on the thread but it made him think, even in a fantasy world was magic possible? Like could people summon creatures, control the elements or even fly without the use of machinery? “Hey Julius, what do you think of this?”
Oscar moved his laptop over so Julius had a better look at the screen, he showed the whole thread and scrolled through it slowly so he could read it. “Do you believe in this? I mean, magic?”

The girl sprung forth again as if she were doing jumping jacks. She was furiously blushing and it was clear she embarrassed. Oscar blushed in return, natural reaction kicked in and he shook his head furiously. “No.No.No.No. Sorry for assuming.”
He wanted the situation to calm down, before she or him made a fool of themselves in front of the other but that's when he noticed her clothing. She must have been some superstar athlete or something, expensive runners were noticed by the older male. Oscar was jealous, if only he could use his legs and feet like that. Oscar did wear runners still, but he really didn't need to....
He didn't show any visible signs of jealously but the underlying tone was there. Flashbacks of when he was a child playing sports crashed into his mind like a wave and all he could think was 'why?' It was as if he was drifted off to a distant land, just ignoring the surroundings and this girl as his mind trapped him briefly in those memories. He quickly came back though as he listened to her.
Just resting after her morning jog? He wondered how far she traveled to come out to Tuileries Palace. “Ah I came to look at the stars tonight, haven't been here before so wanted to spend the day here.” Oscar didn't need to explain himself to someone much younger then he, however, it felt right too after all she seemed friendly enough and wasn't rude. The girl was cute, like a precious doll that just blushed furiously.
“Sorry for startling you, My name's Oscar.” He let out a hand for her to shake as his rosy cheeks calmed down and his composed smile remained.

The following morning was met by the sound of the local radio as an alarm. Weather casters telling that the temperature and weather in New Paris was going to be the same as normal, fine and sunny with a light breeze. It seemed that the weather was always perfect in this city. Oscar yawned as rubbed his face, it was quite early for a normal persons standards, however, getting ready for the day was always a challenge for him. Sure he could get professional aid, but to Oscar that meant admitting defeat. After all for the past 5 years this was his routine and as the saying goes, don't change what isn't broke. It was something like that Oscar though as he slipped a shirt on.
An hour or so passed and he was finally to head out, locking the apartment up and heading down the elevator he made his way to the cafe where Julius and he were to meet. The reason Oscar left so early is because the rush hour of the morning wasn't until later and he used the time before heading into the cafe as a way to collect his head and prepare himself for the day, looking at his schedule, making sure his jobs were done and what time they were to be picked up etc. It just saved time later in the day if he could remember these things now.
He ordered his coffee after the stroll down the street and headed inside, taking out a small portable notebook (laptop) and double checking his schedule. Julius soon came in and apologized / ask if he was late, “Nah, you're fine. How'd you sleep?”
He had to triple check his schedule but it really didn't matter, his personal enjoyment came first always. "Uh, you see. Just pick a day and I'll be there."
