Chaos is known as the being that never became a star. It is everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time.
Neither good nor evil, the ultimate expression of nothingness. The antithesis of the cosmos, creation itself.
Although Chaos claims to be the very state of existence from which the first entities appeared, it cannot form into the entity it wants most.
So it has been cursed to stay in the form of a dark and shapeless void. Floating between existence and nonexistence.
Longingly watching as stars are constantly born and lives are lived. The seeds of malice had been planted, flourished and transformed Chaos into the purest form of evil.
Ringo stabbed into another youma. He waited until the grief seed dropped on to the ground before he finally lowered his lance. This was a rather bizarre winter storm. Usually it would just snow and it'd be harder to walk around. However, this time around, there is youma all over the place. There was no use to ponder. He had no clues, no evidence. This could just be a bad day but the fact they are attacking during this time is still something to be concerned about. More information can be collected later. There is still youma about.
"Back off goddammit!" The cry got the armored Ringo's attention as he started to travel as fast as he can. He quickly transformed into his armored state and skidded to a stop as he saw a girl being attacked by a dog like youma...or was it? Ringo took notice that the youma was wounded. "Step out into light where I can see you!"
"...huh?"
"Last warning!" Ringo further stepped into the light where she could get a better view of her. He had his hands raised though that isn't exactly encouraging since he wanted to keep a hand on the lance in case the youma would retaliate..or the fact he is covered in armor. "Friend or foe?"
"Calm down! I'm a friend..." He looked to the youma. "I've been trying to stop them." He motioned to the dog.
"No." No? Well, that's disheartening. "You?" Ringo paused as he realized he wasn't really one to talk considering what he does every night. Come to think of it, maybe his soulgem is clean as it is because he goes so out of his way to look for all that danger. A shrug.
"Something important to me." That was the most Ringo can say without sounding insane. He was pretty sure Julius would not even amuse the idea that he would go in magical armor and go out and fight abominations best left unsaid. "It's something I feel trains me for the future." He relaxed himself as the rain started to light up a little.
"So what... Did?" The man's confusion was very much justified. Ringo couldn't blame him, it took him a while after the incident of his wish to adjust to this new life style. Of slaying evil, collecting Grief seeds, and the general supernatural in that now rests out of this city's notice. Ringo wasn't sure where to begin but if he didn't this man would be in a more perilous situation.
"...what happened to you is indeed a magical contract." Ringo spoke. A bit hushed but that's because he didn't want too many prying ears. "You became a Magi. Magic does exist...hmmm..." Ringo pondered how to demonstrate this before he made the gauntlets of his armor disappear and then reappear on his whim. He clapped his gauntlets after their re-appearence. "See?" That being said, the one that made Alex like this wasn't like the one who made him a Magi. "We fight the various evil that plague people. Monsters that when they are slain drop grief seeds that we use to purify our Soul Gem and give to our contractors. We're supposed to keep our Soul Gems as clean as possible...but your starts dirty for some odd reason. In any case, we got to get you some grief seeds and clean that gem up. I heard bad things happen if your Soul Gem gets completely dirty."
"Have anything?" Ringo blinked. He figured with the calls and his life style as a prosecutor his life is a rather hectic one. "I...don't...have anything...to shield me from the rain...tonight..." Ringo blinked. Not...what he meant at all. Before Ringo could speak up..."Do...you want my coat...as a shield?"
"Huh?" Ringo blinked. A light laugh. "Come on, I have my own coat...I don't want to use yours like an umbrella. Besides who knows when I'll see you again unless we land the same case." Ringo relaxed he stuck his hand out to test out the intensity of the rain. "I meant if you had any plans tonight earlier." Ringo clarified.
They thankfully made it to the emergency room in time. The kid looks like he was going to make it. Ringo sat on down and sighed in relief...not exactly processing that he was still in the rather stand out armor. He finally processed the stairs of the hospital staff. While many assumed costume, it didn't look easy to move in. It was then Alex spoke up.
"So uhh.. Are you going to ever take that off? Looks hot...."
"Oh, it isn't as hot as it looks."
"eeer... What did you umm see? The magician's magic and all.." He had to bring up that awkward topic. Ringo pondered on it as he finally stood on up. He offered a hand to Alex. He nodded to silently answer his question and then vocally asked his own.
Ringo watched this scene play out. This cloaked individual and the one desperate to make a wish...this seems just like the time he first got his ability to become a hero. However, something was off...there was a difference. Not to mention...
"To help this child!"
"That is not your true desire, ALEX VESPER." Ringo grew tense underneath his armor. That wasn't normal. "I am capable of seeing through this temporary will and wish. Are you meaning to tell me, you'd willingly give up your true desires to save a child who isn't even in immediate danger?" He wondered if he should intervene but it was then he took notice of a star that circled around the two. "I'll give you one more chance, you've amused me. What is it you desire most, ALEX VESPER?" Ringo motioned himself to look at Alex.
It was a long painful silence as Alex pondered what his wish should be. The armor moved a touch, a tilt of the head as he noticed this one cried. Huh? Why? Before Ringo could finally decide to speak up, it seemed that Alex had decided upon his wish.
"Everything my Family never could Have...." Huh?
"A far more sincere answer." Ringo blinked in surprise as the star around him began to rotate faster. Numerous other stars soon joined and collided into the cloaked figure to reveal...a green haired woman. "You'll be perfect~" She reached out and reached into his chest.
"What are yo-?!"
"You may call me, Marceline. You're welcome" Darkness began to flow in. Ringo's eyes widened. How come-? "Done~" she giggled. "I can't tell you now," She took a look at Ringo. He pondered summoning his Heroic Arm. "But your mission, starts now. Seek out the light and bring it to me. You'll know what it is when you see it. We'll meet again soon, Alex~"
"Wait!" As Ringo yelled that, the woman disappeared, the world around them returned to normal. All that was left was himself, Alex, and...whatever happened to Alex's star.
"yo-yo-you saw that too?"
"Yeah?" Ringo still tried to process what occurred to be honest. But a look at Alex and the child told him that wasn't necessary right now. "Nevermind that, we got to get to the clinic." Ringo began to motion over. They can work out details later...Ringo doesn't remember his awakening being anything like what just occured. However, this isn't the time for pondering-!
There was a moment of almost silence as the two just sat there with only the rain to provide the noise. Another noise has finally decided to join in. Ringo decided to just look out at the rain rather than pay all too close attention to his only companion in this shelter's conversation.
"Yes? No. No." Just like court and in conversation huh? Not that Ringo himself was exactly one to speak. "I'm fine, Have a nice day," Julius finally ended the call and processed that Ringo was still here. "Sorry..."
"Nothing to apologize for." Ringo was going to shift the conversation away from the call anyways. "Really should've brought my umbrella." A pondering. Come to think of it, if Julius wasn't here, would it be too much a stretch to use his armor as an umbrella? Nah, kind of a waste. "Hope you didn't have anything tonight." Ringo joked lightly.
"Thank you," At Julius' silent offer, Ringo sat on down. "Did..you just came..from observing?" Ringo blinked as Julius asked the question. Well, it didn't hurt to answer his question.
"Yes actually." Ringo thought back to the case again. How it was prolonged more than it should've and how the role of victim and perpetrator was cleared up. Another disillusionment with a mentor. At the very least, Ringo gained valuable case experience. "Call it bizarre but, I think I'm changing mentors again."
Ringo was very much aware the reputation he had back at the law office. It was impossible to avoid the gossip. But if he could take the best parts of his disappointments and make use of them, then maybe all that time he spent under their tutelage will help. Still, doesn't change the fact that he had to find another defense attorney willing to accept him under his wing.
"But that's my problem." Ringo said. Fully relaxed into his chair, apparently not minding the very likely future ahead of him.
"Thank you. again.." Well, someone at the very least took Ringo's 'costume' well. Ringo gave the man a nod of welcome as he managed to rescue the child from the tree.
"You're welcome, always around to he-?" Ringo paused...as did the world. He moved about and took a moment to kick a rock...only for it to only float a touch instead of skip down the sidewalk. A blink later, and they were in an empty void. Only an orb of silver present. This was all too familiar...
"Tell me, ALEX VESPER, what is it you desire most?"
"...that's not..." It wasn't the voice of whom Ringo forged a promised with to obtain the power he has now. He then turned to the man in the unicorn onsie. Was he the one the voice refereed to?
Halloween was just another holiday to Ringo. Just a day where he ate sweets and talked with people. Not exactly one for costumes but he has chaperoned for kids and classmates, it wasn't like he wasn't up for celebration just that it wasn't precisely for him. That being said today he is chaperoning the latter as they party it up. Ringo just sat at the corner of the table with a water and some snacks as they rest celebrated hard in their costumes.
"Hey!! Come on, grab a few sips!"
"I'm fine..." Ringo nervously said. The classmate shrugged and went back to talk with their friends. It was hectic but indeed as Ringo would put it, it was fine. He got up and stretched himself. "I'm going to go for a walk. Don't cause too much trouble now..." Some puffed their cheeks at this, Ringo could only give a laugh in response. "Stay safe..." With that he walked on out...and noticed the clouds. "Hmmm..." Come to think of it, it has been awhile since he collected any...
Things would've been a normal cloudy day but it seemed Ringo's instincts were correct as a bolt of lighting struck not far from him. Ringo's investigation led to what seemed to be an unconscious child pinned under and a man trying to help...and if he was correct some unwelcomed guests in the distance. Ringo quickly placed on his armor. It wasn't mobile but he can help pull.
"Hey.. Can you help me with this.."
"Sure, we'll lift and try to do so long enough for you to reach him! Just please get the kid to a hospital as fast as possible. There is a clinic we can place him in down the street and a few miles to your right." It took Ringo a moment as the armor suited boy walked on over and helped push the tree. Honestly, Ringo is surprised he isn't more muscular given how long he has fought in this but hey, magic and all. He started to begin the pull.
"Monsieur Sandrine," Julius greeted. There was a moment of silence until suddenly. "I can find another place," Ringo blinked and glanced about. The rain has only gotten more intense since he hid here. Plus this table was suitable enough for the both them. He took a moment to ponder. Julius could make it to one of the buildings but he'd be severely drenched.
"...unless you don't mind your cloths being drenched heavily or you can yank the umbrella from the table, I'm afraid it'd be heartless of me to ask you to move." Ringo smiled as he relaxed himself, careful to not let any part of him out in the rain. "I think we're fine here to wait the rain out." Granted, due to how heavy the rain is, that might be awhile.
"So Ringo, what did you think of today's case?" The lawyer asked Ringo as they walked out of court. It was an immense robbery and harassment case due to the fall out of a relationship between the robber and victim. The lawyer in question defended the robber. After the evidence was brought to light, the lawyer tried to lighten the robber's sentence, or at least try to spin it so that the robber was acting out of grief. Ringo doesn't see it that way.
"...I think you should've just given up after the picture of the car and the contents within it was presented." Ringo thought a little out loud.
"Hm?" Ringo paused as he looked at the lawyer. He seemed baffled at Ringo's words. It was the same look when Ringo first disagreed with one of his mentors.
"Nothing...I think I'll be studying under a different lawyer for my next case. Thank you for today. I learned a lot." Ringo bowed politely and exited on out. The lawyer sighed in confusion. He supposed the rumors are true then. Don't get too attached as Ringo would usually change mentors after two or three cases.
One had to wonder why Ringo didn't just become a prosecutor...but the answer was very simple, at least to him. Ringo didn't go in this to condemn but to defend those that cannot for themselves. He didn't go in this to lighten the sentence of others the moment they're caught. He'd gladly give them to the prosecutors. It wasn't like a defense attorney but it was how Ringo wanted to function, odd as lawyers and clients alike would take it.
"Hm..." Ringo glanced up at the sky. "Uh oh..." The rain clouds started to pick up. It looked like he was going to have to use the umbrella...that he left at home. A nervous laugh from him as he glanced around for any shelter. The rain was picking up. Good thing there was some shelter in the form of one of those umbrella tables. He quickly ran on in. Yeah, he's defintely going to have to get his black formal coat and pants cleaned but at least he doesn't have to suffer further rain. It was when he caught his breathe he noticed his company.
Before him, with eyes squinted, was Julius Vesper. He was introduced a couple of times though he doubted the prosecutor remembered him. This one always seemed distant despite the energy he put into his cases. Ringo might as well greet his senior in the law field.

A valiant endeavor such as yours must come with means of protecting yourself throughout the journey. And as such, your skill allows you to look onward into the forces of evil as you meet them. With your skill, you have gained an unnaturally strong willpower. This enabled you to be immune to all forms of temptation. Mind control, persuasion, and even telepathy. If you find it to be harmful, you can rebuke it with ease. No matter the rank of the opposition. However, there is one catch that should be taken heed to. INVENTORY
— Staff touches this part too, no touchy —
WEAPONRY
NAME: Heroic Arm: Lance[break] CLASS: D[break] DESCRIPTION: Ringo summons, fittingly enough, a medium sized knight's lance. The lance itself serves as a fitting weapon, especially when he uses it in conjunction with Heroic Role: Knight. This gives him a good weapon for clubbing and piercing. When he focuses his energy on the lance he can swing it to fire a shockwave or thrust it to fire a spiral shock wave, giving him at the very least a far range capability.[break]
TRANSFORMATION
APPEARANCE: Describe your transformation. An image(s) is/are most certainly welcomed as well.
[break][break]
TIRO FINALE: name your ability?[break] DESCRIPTION: describe your ability.[break]
ABILITIES
NAME: Heroic Role: Knight[break] CLASS: D[break] DESCRIPTION: A bulky silver metal suit of armor that can be best described as a chibi-knight appears around Ringo when he uses this ability. This armor provides the standard defense and offensive benefits that a suit of armor grants. Durability, ability to punch or tackle things really hard, and able to shield the one inside or those he stands in front of. Of course, this comes with the downsides of heavy armor. Ringo isn't particularly fast inside it, it can break and potentially crush the one inside it, and it is susceptible to the elements (particularly electricity and extreme heat and cold). Ringo can lessen these burdens by only projecting parts of the armor but that creates the new problem of having exposed areas enemies can target.[break]
One thing was clear about Ringo. He is very easily affected by cruelty. From the prejudice he received for his half Japanese half French heritage to the cruelty he would see whenever he would stare at the news with his parents, Chizuru and Theo Sandrine. Ringo was always the first to speak out against it no matter who did it. He would punch bullies that harassed a classmate only to then slap and call out the classmate if they inflict a similar cruelty on another. It confused everyone. Staff, parents, classmate. Not many realized how much he desired to fix what he deemed injustice. It's just force doesn't seem to be the solution. [break][break] 'Childish' force had became negotiable words, albeit, that didn't stop someone from giving Ringo the occasional punch in the face. None the less, Ringo realized that force wasn't going to work. He had to get them to see the other point of view, try to calm flames. He never did wonder if it worked. If anything it led to him in trouble with the staff again for starting fights or by risking the position of the school by exposing a student or teacher's wrong doing. It was then he learned words didn't help either. [break][break] It all started on his way to college, to graduate through the basics and head to law school to become a defense attorney. An odd job considering his earlier violent tendencies in childhood but it was none the less a path he felt he could pursue to follow his dream of correcting the evils inflicted on others. What was to be a simple trip became a disaster as the subway he and a couple others were in crashed with help too far away, the doors unable to open, and the risk of rubble above collapsing on the already wrecked train. [break][break] For reasons Ringo doesn't understand, only he was given a choice. What does he wish for, right then and now? Someone on the train asked him. It was ridiculous...but there was one thing clear in his mind. "I want the power of a hero..." A simple naive wish allowed him to save a majority of the passengers of the train as he managed to force the door open before further collapse. It was then he learned...maybe a touch of magic was the solution. [break][break] Ringo continued his work to this day, this time to shield people from the harm they do to each other or those beyond human comprehension. He battles vigilantly, as a citizen, as a Magi. He didn't mind the price of this contract...only that he can finally put a stop to the evil he so despised.
