Chaos is known as the being that never became a star. It is everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time.
Neither good nor evil, the ultimate expression of nothingness. The antithesis of the cosmos, creation itself.
Although Chaos claims to be the very state of existence from which the first entities appeared, it cannot form into the entity it wants most.
So it has been cursed to stay in the form of a dark and shapeless void. Floating between existence and nonexistence.
Longingly watching as stars are constantly born and lives are lived. The seeds of malice had been planted, flourished and transformed Chaos into the purest form of evil.
[attr="class","stylishtext"] A warm embrace was shared between the two and Yvette took a moment to compare their statures. It was rather obvious that without the adding height the heels of her boots gave her; she would have been smaller than Jae. Which, always seemed to have been the case. Even back in high school. She was among the shorter females. So a mass majority of the males present had the courtesy of looking over her head. Or looming over her, if they wanted a swift kick or abrasive gesture. The latter only pertained to a select few boys, though. Jae not being one of them. From what she saw from a distance, he was always the kinder gentleman to the girls. Even to the guys. Made perfect sense as to why he was... sought after. "It has!" After the hug ended, she took a step back. "You don't look like the same freshman I saw in the hallways on the way to class. Now, well... you look more like an adult." Time was kind to him, that's for sure. Puberty, too. [break][break] "Still no facial hair I see," A minor snicker left her lips before she fanned off the thought. "It's fine. The clean-shaven look works for you~" Could she see Jae with any type of facial hair? No, no not really. It didn't suit him. Or well, the image of him that had been painted in her mind's eye by all of the outside sources. So far, they all seemed to be spot on. Kind boy. Smelled great. From the hug, he certainly had some musculature that could cause a few swoons if presented under the right circumstances. But, the maiden still wasn't convinced. Boys like these, they were sneaky. Pretty packages with surprises on the inside. Whether or not the surprise was desired? That was the mystery. [break][break] "Oh?" Just the two of them? "Fufu~ Sounds lovely." Even better! There would be no one to get in the way of her discovery. That, and she wouldn't have to step on any opposition to possibly have a stuffed animal won and taken home. "I wish I could've traveled a bit. I'm sure my parents would have had a cow about it, but that just kind of made me want to go even more, y'know?" Just to pluck with their nerves and rattle their calm a bit. It seemed amusing. But, after she enrolled into the university, her parents seemed to loosen the reigns. So much so, that it seemed they tossed them aside altogether. Maybe she had grown to be too responsible for her own good? The thrill of worrying her parents had been exterminated... huh. Interesting. "I'm actually in my last year of Saint Elbandia. Majoring in business, minor in fashion." Yvette gave him a nod and grin afterward. "That, and working at the Boutique, Chateaux. You should stop by sometime. I make pieces. And I can always use more models." Couldn't hurt to ask, right? [break][break] "What about you?" She inquired, following the male onward towards one of the first. Fingers laced and hands behind her back as she strolled. "Since you're back, I'm assuming that means you have some kind of job lined up? Or, are you planning of going back to school?" That could be a thing. The two of them could meet up around the courtyard for lunch on occasion. She could introduce him to Emi and Cici too! One of the two would happily help in study sessions. While... Cici was a blast, she'd easily divert the study session towards something more amusing for sure. They'd surely be kind and welcome him. [break][break] When they arrived at the cart, she was met with a gesture of kindness. The door was opened for her and with a nod of thanks, she entered. Readying herself for the ride to come. Braced and belted, the attraction began. Rising higher before accelerating and sending the pair through loops and turns. Effectively causing Yvette to throw her hands up into the air and cheer out in joy and excitement. There was a subtle shutter that sounded off. Surely a camera had caught her in mid-glee. But she didn't mind. On the contrary, maybe she'd get the image as a keychain or something. A little memento for the nice day away from boredom's ugly embrace. [break][break] The ride came to its end, and Yvette took her to leave. Waiting for Jae to follow before eyes lit up with joy. He actually kept tabs on her band? "Great actually!" Well... "well, we're looking for a guitarist and a drummer. But! We're still as magnificent as ever." She nodded in a matter of fact manner. "You should hear us play. It's magical. When the three of us are in sync, there's nothing like it." Her words trailed off. In a daze of sorts, just recalling all of the moments they had shared. The performances, the sound of the audience cheering for them. "Hm.." maybe there was somewhere she could give him a small demonstration? Head craned about, in search of the next ride to partake. [break][break] "Found it!" Reaching outward, Yvette took hold of the male's hand and began leading him towards the building line. "Hopefully, you'll get to hear me sing soon. I took some time to perfect my sound. Took vocal training, too." She looked back to him with a grin. Stopping in the line as swirling teacups could be seen in front of them. "I haven't ridden the teacups in a while." Head craned over, hand finally letting go of Jae's. "You're good at spinning them, right?" Hand to hip and index finger raised in front of the boy. "If not," She retracted, "I can spin us~" Maybe. [break][break] When it was their turn to board, Yvette darted towards the gaudy red teacup and practically took a leap into it. Patting the seat next to her for Jae to follow. "Oh, so since you're back, did you find a nice apartment to rent out?" There were a couple open and vacant studio apartments around her own. If need be, she certainly didn't mind helping him seek out a new living arrangement. "I know of a few places." A flake of snow fell against her nose. "It... it usually doesn't snow so soon here. Pretty weird, actually." She soon snickered. "Maybe you brought some kind of winter miracle back with you~"
[attr="class","stylishtext"] His contemplative pattern of speech was rather amusing. If not odd, as well. With a giggle and a nod, Yvette agreed with Julie. "Maybe he's always thinking about something?" Which, could be a valid guess, with the world of magic unfolding around them and such. Though, she too found herself in fits of deep contemplation throughout the day. But, her speech hardly showed such. Or well, maybe not so blatantly? Her attention shifted from Julie back to the familiar male. Could he have a spirit inside of him as well? And, if so, how did he manage to cope with it? Sharing another body with an entity that seemed to only exist in works of fiction? Books of lore. Or, well, were they only bound to spirits of Artemis' caliber? Could there have been others? Of course. Anything was possible now, it seemed. Her little world had expanded so vastly. So many questions, so little time. The first one being, what was this guy's name? Funny Man, would only get her so far. [break][break] "Oh?" Head craned around the male's body. He worked here? So... how did he know Emi, then? Had she been in some sort of legal trouble? And kept it secret from Yvette? The nerve. The gall of that girl. The moment she could her grips on her cell phone, Emi was going to explain herself for sure. But, for now, Yves had a little girl to entertain for the time being. Shirking her duties in lieu of having questions answered was not on the day's agenda. "Julie looked a little bored. So, I offered to take her on a little play date while her mother went and did," head craned to the younger girl, "yucky adult stuff. That's what you called it earlier, right?" Yves giggled, turning her head back to the male present. "I didn't keep her away too long, did I? I promised I wouldn't run away with her~" A soft poke moved to tickle the sides of Julie. [break][break] Good news came shortly after. He seemed to be recovering well from the incident. "Likewise~" she batted her eyelashes absently. "I'm glad to hea—"a party? A blank stare took over her visage. Eyes darting from Julie to the man. Then, back to Julie. Oh come now... anyone would have seen through that cop out! Even Julie knew it was a farce. "Er uh, what he means is he saw me leaving a Halloween party." Sure, that sounded more believable, right? "I was dressed as the pretty suited soldier. I fought for love, for justice!" Yvette rose from the bench, a palm to her chest while the other motioned outward. A twirl ensued shortly after. "Mr. Funny Man here was helping one of my friends with... her costume." She quickly nodded, "such a gentleman~" [break][break] That would work, right? [break][break] Hands came to her hips and a snicker danced into the air. "My band was supposed to play that night too. Buuuut," lower lip flipped, quivered and turned into a pronounced pout. "I had to teach a few bullies a lesson. So I didn't even get to sing." With index fingers poked at her cheeks, Yvette turned to face the raven haired man. [break][break] "That's what happened, right~?"
[attr="class","stylishtext"] Freetime was such a bittersweet occurrence. On the positive side, Yvette wasn't tied down to any responsibilities and could do whatever she wanted with the day until night fell. But, on the negative, she had no idea what to do. With all of this free time, she simply laid against her bed and stared blankly and onward at the ceiling. Nothing seemed appealing. Shopping was a thought. But she would end up spending far too much money on clothing and makeup. Then, she considered visiting Cici or Emi. But, she quickly remembered that both were busy. Emi doing some studying. And Cici, well, the cryptic text message of 'dshgsjshg' seemed to either have been a half awaken message. Or the scrambling for her phone in the midst of doing... something. So, it would just be her... and Artemis... oh joy. A hefty sigh was taken as the female rolled over, grabbing hold of her phone and flipping through various social media accounts. [break][break] Index finger flicking at the screen and bringing up old photos of friends and those she followed. A few double taps here and there. A comment to be placed under certain pictures. Maybe this would entertain her for the moment. But how much longer could she scroll until every picture had been seen befor—oh? Rising from her downed position, a certain post had caught her attention. A familiar name from her time in high school. A male student that had left New Paris to study abroad, she assumed. Jae-sung Chavenne. The two hadn't had much of a conversation in the past. More so a hi and bye in the halls. They followed each other, liked photos, commented. The standard when it came to social media. However, from what she could recall about him, was that he was a rather nice guy. A plethora of the females at their school thought so, anyway. Being older than him, the two never shared any classes, so she couldn't test the theories herself. However, she took the word of the student majority. [break][break] Back to the matter at hand, though, it seemed like he was back in the city? Had he moved back for good? She was positive his parents were elated. Oh, and it looked like he was going to dreamland? Hmm... did she want to go out and enjoy the presence of cheering patrons and excited children? Meet up with a potential friend and test those highschool theories? Of course! With haste, Yve tapped his profile and sent off a message. She would happily come out and help him get reacquainted with the city. It certainly beats laying in bed and scrolling through dramas and romcom's all day. [break][break] Springing from her mattress, she took to her closet and clad herself in a maroon sweater, black skirt combination. Black stockings and boots accompanied her ensemble before a tan coat was thrown over. Hair tied in her signature twin tail fashion, she tightened the red ribbons and brushed through the ample amounts of darkened locks that remained untied. Her purse snatched from its spot, lipgloss was applied to her lips and phone slipping inside for safe keeping. A final look over was given to her appearance in the mirror. A vanilla perfume sprayed against her body, and out the door, she went. Peering upward at the sudden flake of frost that fell against her cheek. Snow? Huh... [break][break] Regardless, she made her way towards the bus and caught herself a ride to Dreamland. Arriving rather quickly and hopping off. Strolling up tot he line, Yvette waited until her turn and purchased herself a band for an all-day stay. After the kind male behind the window fastened it for her, she thanked him and headed onward into the park. In search of the fountain where a certain boy stood in waiting. [break][break] The heels of her boots clicked against the cold cement below as the flakes of crystalized water continued to fall at a steady pace. It wasn't normal for snow so soon. But, with the way the weather was these days, it didn't seem impossible. [break][break] No matter, it didn't seem to be stopping any of the festivities. And, it didn't seem to deter Jae-sung from arriving either. "Jae-sung!" Yves called forth, seeing the male in question and waving over to him as she closed the distance. "Welcome back," a smile of warmth shot in his direction. "How was... China, right?" At least, that's what she had heard. "Where's the welcome party?" Head craned about, "Am I early?" The maiden spoke with a tease. But surely... there would be other people coming, right? Specifically, those girls that fawned over him?
[attr="class","stylishtext"] Ever since she came into being the host for... a very naggy spirit, there had been minor changes to Yvette's mannerisms. Most had gone unseen, for they were relatively normal in nature. But, to those that had known her for quite some time, would have been caught off guard by a few of them. One, in particular, was her sudden affinity with children. If ever Yvette found a child in distress, she seemed to be willed to aid them. No matter the situation. And, while it was true she had been somewhat of a kind person prior to Artemis taking refuge in her soul without even a down payment or monthly rent; it became more of a pressing matter now than before. All of the children she came in contact with that were in distress, she helped them. Lost toys, cries for candy, boo-boos in need of bandages. It didn't matter. She had become the neighborhood superhero. Heroine. Yes, Heroine, much better. [break][break] It wasn't all for naught though. The smiling faces of the children after they had been administered aid lit her heart aglow. That, and once they found out she was in a band, they were quick to claim they would be at her performances. Instant fans of the maiden, it seemed. They were all so adorable. Such kind-hearted little beings. Even the younger boys. She couldn't count on one hand how many 'thanks pretty lady's she received. Artemis seemed to enjoy them as well. So, it was something they could both agree on... [break][break] unlike today. [break][break] Yvette had scheduled a meeting with a potential manager for Roselia. And, while she was very excited to meet the man, Artemis... wasn't. "Mmm, I don't understand why you're acting this way." Yves spoke aloud... to herself. But in actuality, the being inside of her. "We can hunt, some other time. Need I remind you that this is MY body? You just live in it. I make the decisions. And today, I decide we're going to—" oh? Turquoise hues took sight to a young girl with her mother. Standing outside of a business building. And, while the sight would have been normal in most cases, the young child seemed to be wiping her eyes. Immediately, the will to aid kicked in and Yvette darted over to her side. [break][break] After convincing the mother, Yvette took the girl, Julie, she introduced; over to a stand that was selling treats. Buying the young girl a sugary confection, and a coffee for herself, the two spent a little time animal and people watching. Picking fun at a few of the citizens and watching as woodland creatures came closer in hopes of taking a piece of the confection Julie held in tow. With the spirits of the child on the rise, Yves could take a sigh of relief. Her job was done. Though, it seemed Julie's mother had gone into the building and hadn't come out yet. So, they would sit on a bench and wait. [break][break] Hand games were played and giggles were shared while the two waited. It was only after a familiar male appeared, that the rhythmic clapping of hands and giggles ceased. Julie referring to him as, 'the funny man'. "Hm?" This guy? Funny? He sure didn't loo—Oh! It was him! Eyes widened for a brief moment. Her name being called forth. It was the magic user from the night before. What was he doing here? And... how did he know Julie? And her own name, at that. Oh, wait... Emi. [break][break] "Afternoon, Funny man." Yvette teased. "What brings you over?" She looked to Julie and shared a snicker. "How are you?" Her inquiry a loaded one. On one hand, it seemed like a common gesture when conversing with another. However, Yvette was much more curious in his well being from the last night. Now that she had him, she could ask even more questions. And wouldn't let him out of her sight until she received answers.
[attr="class","stylishtext"] The biggest bash in Paris? Color the saleswoman intrigued. Her brows rose in intrigue for a plethora of reasons. One being, why hadn't she been invited prior? She may not have been some socialite extraordinaire. But, Yvette had thought herself popular enough to garner an invite to bashes that were held around the city. A bit of a blow to her ego, for sure. Secondly, when her band name had been dropped, she couldn't help but give Enzo even more of her attention. He actually knew of them? Even more so, he was a fan of them? Or well, her voice? Her vibrant hue of intrigue shifted to a new shade of pride. And, while Yves would have loved to stand and bask in the limelight of being noticed, a sudden flash brought her back to. "H-huh...?" Oh, right, he did have that camera with him when he came in, didn't he? And he even announced he was about to take a candid shot of her. Hopefully, she didn't look too dazed in the photo. She'd have to try and sneak a peek of it later. [break][break] But for now, "one, I wasn't stealing." Index finger shot up, followed by the middle, "two. We're in." Exposure was an important part of any band's budding success. She would have been a fool to turn down an offer of performing at this so-called 'biggest bash'. Even if it was nothing more than an exaggeration, Roselia could still make their name known at any venue. No matter the size and turn out. "You've got a deal, Enzo." Her arms folded across her chest. Heels of her boots clicking against the wooden flooring as she meandered her way from behind the counter. Coming closer to the blue haired male and humming in thought. Pacing about his frame and figure. "So, you want to stand out huh?" That knocked a few costumes ideas out of the park. The typical vampire, werewolf, and Frankenstein costumes. "I'm guessing you want to attract arm candy too, right?" Charming, suave, unique. [break][break] This was going to be fun for sure. Having to find the angles and points of interest this guy had to offer. From peering at him for only a short period of time. He had quite the prominent torso. His muscles gave him a nicely formed "T" shape. Not overly so, though. The man could still reach around and behind himself if need be. He was fit. But not disproportionately so. Wonderful. That meant he could be exposed to a variety of fabrics. Eyes scanned lower. Proportioned well there too. Even better. Her tailoring wouldn't fall into the realm of a special chore with this guy. He wouldn't have to pay so much of a pretty penny for a custom piece. Lucky him. "Alright." Hands came to her hips, a nod ensued shortly after. "It can be done. Lucky for you, your body type will be a breeze to work with." The easy part out of the way. "We'll... just have to figure out what exactly you want to be." [break][break] The hard part rearing it's ugly head. "Hmm..." something unique. A wrestler? No. The weather was supposed to be quite frigid Halloween night. Ah! Maybe some sort of swordsman? Mm, no... he didn't seem the chivalrous type. And then he would have to find a fitting prop to match the caliber of her costumed creation. Maybe some form of animal hybrid? Not a werewolf but... ah, never mind. That wasn't going to work either. Yvette found herself taking a seat against the counter. Legs crossing and a humming ensued. "Do you have any likes?" Her inquiry posed with the tilt of her head. "Superheros, cartoon characters... anime characters?" Anything to give her a lead. "Oh wait, you wanted advice." Alongside attention, so it would seem. "That must mean you had some ideas, right?" Hm... or what if he actually had none at all? And just wanted to chit chat? [break][break] She couldn't help but giggle. That would have been cute. [break][break] "Could always go as a rockstar~" she teased with a cheerful hum in her tone. "Don't know if leather pants are your thing or not. I'm sure you'd acquire... some attention that way." The female spoke in jest, hands moving to lay against the counter she sat atop of. "If you want, we have a few special pieces made here you can try on? The customers that commissioned them bailed after they saw the price tag. So, they're just kind of hanging around." Her shoulders shrugged. "You can take a look. If... you keep it hush-hush that I showed them to you." [break][break] Index finger hovered against her lip and soft 'shhh' followed. "They're back there," Index finger pointed towards an opened dressing room. "We're closing soon, so you won't have to worry about anyone seeing you before you can wow them at the bash." Yvette figured he'd want to be the center of attention. PArtially because she would feel the same way. To make a grand debut and have all the eyes turned to face her... him. She meant him.
[attr="class","stylishtext"] After she took off, Yvette had devised a few potential plans for dispensing the flyers in the most effective manner possible. Though, it would call for her to take note to the target audience. For starters, Roselia was an all girl's band. So, if she wished to recruit a drummer or guitarists, she would have to ask females explicitly. Though... there was always the option of asking males too. Maybe they knew someone who played one of the instruments? Ah, that sort of destroyed her whole plan entirely... okay, that's fine. Onward to another! A more easy approach! "We're Roselia!" She began calling forth, passing out flyers to passersby. "We'll be worldwide in no time!" Flyers gave to men and women alike. "We're looking for a drummer," she lowered herself, playfully tickling children before passing off a flyer to them. "And a guitarist!" She found herself stepping onto a bench and giving a mighty twirl. Bringing about a small crowd. "Rose shouts so loooouuud~!" And she'd toss the remainder of the flyers into the air. Ending with a pose. [break][break] "We would be ever so grateful for any and all support." Claps formed from the onlookers. The younger children giggling with glee and their parents watching onward with expressions of amusement. Yvette, still positioned atop the bench, finally came down and gave a bow to her small audience. "I'm Yvette, the lead vocalist. My two bandmates and I hope to bring music to all of you very soon. We're just missing... a few vital components?" A bashful chuckle left her lips after. "Though! Even without them, we're still amazing." Fingers came back and pressed against her chest. "My vocals are not to be trifled. Sierra, our bassist, her skill with the bass is mesmerizing to say the least. And, Emi. When her fingers grace the keyboard, you'll have no choice to be entranced by our sound~" She seemed to be selling the band good enough... or so she thought. The crowd was still present, a good sign. [break][break] The chatter amongst the bodies caused her to grin. "Alongside a drummer and guitarist, we could also use a manager." Hands moved to her hips and a nod ensued. "I'm more than qualified... but Emi thinks we should find someone outside of the bandmembers. So, we're giving it a shot as well." Again, she didn't really know how she felt about that aspect. But it was worth adventuring out and trying. Anything for their success. "So, if anyone would like to give it a go," A pen was plucked, and a stray flyer. "Feel free to sign up right here!" [break][break] To her surprise, a few bodies came forth and jotted down their names and contact information. "Ah, thank you so much~" [break][break] The signing of the flyer continued for a while. After the crowd dispersed, Yves made her way back to the meeting point and waiting for her friends to arrive. Hopefully, they had luck with their journey and the spreading of the flyers. "Hm, I wonder if I could get Cici to try a salad..?" Head craned back to the window. Peering inside at a few bodies sitting at tables. Though, now that she thought about it, the girl seemed dead set on the sandwich... [break][break] Either way! Food would be retrieved! "Let's take a look at these names..."
[attr="class","haltemptxt2"] CHARACTER NAME:YVETTE YAMAMOTO[break] ITEM(S) IN CART: D-CLASS ABILITY (free reward) + C-RANK UP (250 MP★)[break] TOTAL: 250 MP★[break]
[break][break]
NAME: ASTRAL ARROW[break] CLASS: D[break] DESCRIPTION: An ability that could be said comes from two sources. Artemis, the soul that lives within her, and a certain magical user she came in contact with. Forming her arms in a bow and arrow position, Her index finger is extended and silver magical energy forms about her body. Soon afterward, Yvette is able to fire off arrows of magical energy towards her target(s). The arrows upon making contact with their targets are meant to impale. After firing, Yvette can change the trajectory of the energy arrow(s) twice before impact at her current level. After, or if she does not choose to tamper with the arrow(s), they continue on their course and/or trajectory.[break]
[attr="class","stylishtext"] From the safety of the roof, Yvette watched onward as the sequence of events unfolded in front of her. Still readying her cannon for another shot, the magical energy quickly dispelled as the familiar blue-haired maniac ran directly into the lion's den. With his trusty lance in tow, she couldn't understand why on earth he thought he stood a chance. She swore that the voice within her even sighed at the foolhardiness of Enzo. Ready to leap down and come to his aid, Yves grimaced as the uppercut was administered. Poor guy... maybe that was enough of a karma bite for leaving Emi behind? Mm... no, she still wanted revenge. But, she wouldn't allow a... somewhat innocent person to meet their end here. Readying herself to take the leap, a yell broke through the air and soon, a spear found itself ending the life of the boney bastard. Who... who did that? Who was that? Head craned about in search o the mysterious heroine. But alas, there was no sign of a being that hadn't been present prio—oh? [break][break] Peripherals caught sight to a camera docked behind her heels. Turning around, Yvette plucked the device and gave it a looks over. Closing her eyes to envision where she had seen the familiar piece of technology from. A surge of mental imagery ensued. All pointing back to a certain blue head. "... Fufufu~" This was perfect! Nimble digits began pressing buttons against the camera. sifting through settings and soon pulling up the gallery. She would have stayed put on the roof and examined it further had it not been for a pressing matter that thumped her against the cerebral with gusto. "Emi!" She had to go find her! [break][break] Head craned about as she held tight to the camera and darted towards the edge of the building. Taking a leap, she found herself descending downward until a magic circle appeared underneath her. A chain wrapping about her waist and allowing for a more graceful and less dangerous landing. Bare feet hit the ground running as Yvette darted onward towards the Eiffel Tower. Specifically, the area in with which Emi had been last seen. If Enzo let anything happen to her she swore she wo—wait... there was a clown among them... wasn't there? [break][break] Yvette stopped in place, turning back to look towards the site o the magical battle. Was he still there? And more importantly, was he okay? "Mmm..." he seemed capable. Though, she still would need to give him an apology. Maybe they'd cross paths again in the future? Her head craned down to the camera. Maybe... [break][break] A plan had been devised. Well... several, actually. She turned tail and continued onward towards Emi's location. Ready to change her night's plans from a party, to comfort food and rom-coms. [break][break] Though, she thoroughly enjoyed the entire ordeal. The battle, hearing that voice while awake instead of in a dream. It was all so exciting. The grin fixated against her countenance would insist that Yvette wasn't done feeling that flame.
[attr="class","stylishtext"] Her Crescent Cannon shots actually made contact? Excellent! Though, it didn't seem to do any damage to the creature. Aside from enraging him. And, as he turned around and seemingly readied himself to attack her, a familiar lance-like weapon zipped through the air and sunk itself into the crown and snatched it from the skeleton's dome. Javelin impaling into the wall and crown falling onto the ground. Turquoise hues darted about, she knew who had a weapon like that... but wasn't he supposed to be—"!?" The skeleton took a grand leap. Clearing a large amount of distance and readying himself for some sort of final attack of some sort. Her teeth grit for various reasons. One, this skeleton situation had effectively washed out any idea of attending a party. Two, ENZO PATEL, wasn't guarding Emi. And three, there was this familiar buzzing... no... a voice. A female's voice. Yelling outward. Backseat driving. "...Hitomi." Yvette refused to even turn around. Another person she wanted to keep her magic a secret from. And she had the nerve to try and feed her information as if she had been on the battlefield. Had that green-haired dingbat been here the entire time?? [break][break] Whatever, it didn't matter. She had bigger fish to fry. She had to get her hands around ENZO PATEL's neck and throttle the life out of him for leaving Emi alo—"god... dammit..." more skeletons. Great, just great. And julius vesper had already moved to the offensive. Firing his arrows. Good. That was good. With a nod, she knew it was time for her to lend aid. Her head snapped back after Hitomi Jabami kept up her babbling. Had they not been handling this the entire time?? Ugh, what-the-fuck-ever. No time to deal with her. She had to get rid of the skeletons. So, she took a step forward. That is until light shined forth and five more skeletons were crushed. Head snapped towards the source. None other than Hitomi Jabami... using... magic? Color Yvette completely and utterly shocked. Was she capable of actually u—"..." nope. The dunce had no idea how to use her own magic. Asking Julius and herself as if there was a manual for this. "Are you that dense?" She barked at Hitomi, "Why would we know how to use your magic?? If you don't know what your doing, get the hell out of the way! Don't be a nuisance! You'll get someone killed!" A magic circle appeared underneath Yvette's feet, a large silver chain growing underneath her feet and propelling her into the air. Head craned over to the familiar blue-haired deceiver. Eyelids narrowed to a death glare. She hadn't the time to babysit... "just stay out of the way! You're a liability!" [break][break] Leaping off of the chain and onto the roof of the nearest building, a smaller, and thinner chain moved about. Snaking about the madness, it set its sights for ENZO PATEL. All the while, Yvette had two silver crescent moons forming overhead. Lifting the index finger of her right-hand high into the air, it collided with the energy radiant crescent moons, causing them to burst into small flashes of silver light around the tip of her finger. Drawing her left arm over her chest and bringing her right index finger down and out in front of her, she aimed at a row of skeletons and fired off the charged beam of the bright silver magic energy. Accumulating five headshots on the skeletons.***** She had to get a shot at the skeleton man. End him before he does any damage with that canon. So, she readied her index finger once more, garnering the two crescent moons overhead. Waiting for the beam to be ready once more. [break][break] One shot, one kill... [break][break] The chain that had snaked it's way over to ENZO PATEL had only a few moments left to enact her revenge for the abandonment of her precious friend. And, with Yvette occupied, she couldn't direct it to her liking. So, it lashed out towards the male's neck. However, it snagged hold of the band that held his camera in place. Taking with it the device as it quickly retracted back into the magical circle that faded from the ground. [break][break] Dropping the camera behind the girl's feet on the roof after the magic circle reappeared for a split second.

[attr="class","stylishtext"] Oh, so the clown man (Cassian Gérard) decided to join them after all? The more the merrier, she reasoned. Watching onward as the male saved her from a close call, as well as crumbling a skeleton in his wake afterward. "Thanks." She turned to him before her head snapped towards the oncoming major threat. A larger skeletal male clad in regal garb. A crown fixed atop his head and a gaudy necklace with a glowing jewel. So... was it safe to assume that getting rid of him would make the lesser skeletons vanish? That's usually how these things worked, right? It seemed like the most reasonable course of action among... all of the other chaos that fell onto Paris this night. "So," Yves spoke towards the clown-clad male, "do you want to handle these little grunts or take on their lead—" [break][break] Her thoughts were effectively halted at the sight of the enemies sword crashing down onto the shield formed by the stranger (julius vesper). That confirmed it. He was a user of magic and there was no denying it. Undeniable proof. And, as much as she wished to comment on it, there were far bigger issues at her doorstep. Specifically, a sword-wielding skeleton that seemed far too excited about doing battle. "Go." That voice. It called forth to her once more. "Go." Yvette could feel the same flame ignite within her belly that had been present earlier. When she was hunting down those skeletons. Only this instance, it was much more fervent. And she liked it. [break][break] A magic circle of silver color appeared underneath her, two large chains of matching color soon shooting forth from the circle shortly after. One of the chains coiled about her body and flung her skyward. Propelling her up, and over the large skeleton and julius vesper. Prompting Yvette to land behind the beast. Readying her palm, she would quickly gather silver magical energy and fire off three bullets sized orbs towards the Grand skeleton's back. [break][break] The other chain conjured would snap forward and wrap about a lone skeleton grunt. Squeezing and constricting, the chain would wrap about the creature until it would find itself crunched into a ball, the chain forming into something akin to a wrecking ball.* Now in its new form, the wrecking ball would crash down against two of the skeletons that charged towards Cassian Gérard.** Rising, it would then swing and crash into another skeleton, sending flying. Upon impact with the ground, it too would crumble.* Lastly, before the full disappearance of the chains, the wrecking ball dropped down onto another skeleton. Leaving rubble of the skeletons.*

[attr="class","stylishtext"] The slip of paper was taken into her possession. Flipped over, to discover it to have been a receipt from a cafe the blonde—Autumn—had eaten at early that morning. "Right..." with the flipping over the paper once more, the address would be taken notice to, and eyes would widen. What?? This girl lived there?? That meant that... "..." head rose, ready to spout her disbelief. However, the CD was offered before any sounds of displeasure could form. Well, she finally got it. There was no need to pitch a fit now, right? "I'll call you, I suppose." Though, dropping by this address to see if the girl was actually honest about her home would be a means of exposing the blond clone. "I'm Yvette." It was common courtesy to give her name after Autumn had done so prior. "Well, I'll be taking my lea—" eyes widened for a moment, scanning the store. Everything... stopped? [break][break] The shoppers, they were frozen in time? And even if she chose to look outside, everything had gone still. What was this? Head craned about, hair moving in her wake. Looking for some form of catalyst for the sudden strange event. That's when she heard the voice. Her head snapped towards the stairwell, then... back to... Autumn? Why hadn't she been frozen too? "I heard it. But we shouldn't buy into th—" or... she could just dart off towards the mysterious voice. "W-wait! Stop!" Darting after Autumn, Yvette tailed it towards the stairs. Hoping to catch the girl before she walked into some trap or imminent danger. [break][break] All she wanted was a damn CD. Instead, she got a headache.
[attr="class","stylishtext"] Now that she looked at the blue-haired male once again, his name as well as where they had met immediately came to mind. "Enzo?" Right. This was the male she had helped craft a unique Halloween costume for. To avoid the ghastly basic bitch syndrome he was so worried about catching. As if it were an airborne pathogen of some sort. But, that didn't explain why he was looking for her, though? Did he want to thank her again for her time and effort? It would have been quite the kind gesture, sure. But with everything going on, that surely could have waited. Her head craned over to him, "What were you looking for me f—" Another strike of lightning lit up the bleak and dark sky. Effectively stealing Yvette's attention. "!!" What was it now? The last time lightning struck like that, an army of the undead rose, ready to do battle. [break][break] Neck snapped towards what sounded like bellowing laughter. "What..?" So much was happening. She didn't know where to focus the brunt of her attention. That is until the stranger (julius vesper) called forth. Taking the initiative to elect himself the leader, commands were given. ENZO PATEL was ordered to stay by Émilie Cadence's side. Meanwhile, Yvette, the clown, and he himself; was to go forth and search for survivors? Arms crossed over her chest. Sword and shield still in tow. It made sense, to some degree. Clearly, those three were magically inclined. They were best fit to go into the line of fire. But, leaving Emi with Enzo... that didn't sit well with Yves. But... if she didn't get to the bottom of this catastrophe, Emi would still be in danger all the same. [break][break] "I—" before a protest could be made, the man darted off. "...this is why I'm not a fan of team projects..." hues rolled, and head shook. Body turning to Enzo. "I'm not ordering you. I'm asking you, please watch after Emi." With tensions high, ordering him didn't seem like the best course of action. That, and she had a sinking sensation that if he was given another order, he would revolt and do whatever he willed and wished. "Emi," head craned to her friend, "whatever it takes, keep yourself safe. I'll be back." And with that, a nod was given to the clown man (Cassian Gérard), before she darted off following down behind the black haired male onto the frontlines. [break][break] Sprinting as fast as she could, she would manage to catch up to him (julius vesper) eventually. "I hope by 'survivors', you meant to destroy whatever the hell is causing all of this?" Eyes would soon take note to an oncoming skeleton. Sword in hand, Yvette would toss the weapon akin to a javelin. Sinking the blade into the skull of the skeleton and ceasing its second existence.* Another soon coming behind, she would toss the shield and send the creature back to its death. Watching it crumble upon impact.* [break][break] With her weapons gone. She had no choice but to use her wits and her magic.

[attr="class","stylishtext"] "Haha, thank you. You can thank my parents," she quipped with a chuckle, shaking her head slightly. "It's no problem. It's what I get paid to do." A hand gestured to the mass of fabrics and designs that decorated the boutique. "And honestly, I wouldn't just buy anything off the rack for costume purposes. Getting a piece costume made is much more... fulfilling." It eradicated the hypothetical scenario of walking into a function and seeing your same costume on a mass of others. Even if you were best suited for it, that didn't stop the unfortunate for ruining it. Yvette had seen the incident happen one too many times. One of the reasons why she tried to make her own costumes. However, on short notice, she would just scour the internet for a piece and pay the express fees. Similar to this Halloween. For weeks prior, she couldn't decide on what to make. And after a certain message alerted her to a Halloween bash on the horizon, she had to suck it up and dish out the euros for a costume sent to her door. Though... it did come with a nice pair of stilettos she planned to make use of year round. So, not a total loss. [break][break] Hues of a turquoise color examined the blue haired male once over. Enzo. His name certainly fit his appearance. "Pleasure to meet you, Enzo." Brows cocked upward and a visible grin painted against her visage as he continued onward. Her amusement vocalized as a giggle before she turned away to take hold of another pair of jeans. "I don't put anything past anyone." Yvette began, pinching at the edges of the elastic waist and folding the fabric together. "It would be easy for you. Yanno, just cock your leg up and mark here, mark there." She stared at the male from lowered peripherals. Letting a cheeky grin coat glossed lips. "You'd just be the first to do it without the use of a basement and camera, I guess." A flip of her hair ensued with a chuckle, moving the folded jeans to the side before retrieving another pair. "Stalking... mm, maybe not a boring girl. Psycho exes come in all shades, though." Eyes flickered back to the blue-haired male, "Psychos in general." She mused with a tease, setting the next pair of jeans aside. [break][break] Eyes darted towards the hand gesture nearest lower regions of the body, and Yves let loose a snicker. "Heathens, too." Though, she caught the reference. "Not one of my favorite books, but it was an okay read for a preteen girl." So, he wasn't a fan of the age-long debate of werewolf versus vampire? "I suppose." She was one of the suckers that fell for the hype. But, if present-day Yvette could visit her past self? Slapping that book out of her hands and tossing it into the fireplace for kindling would certainly be a thing. "But I get it, you're a healthy gentleman... all around." Head shook once again in amusement, a smirk curling at the corner of her lips. A hand gesture referring to his body in total. "Duly noted~" [break][break] Something unique? Huh, color her intrigued. Palms laid flat against the counter as the brunt of her attention refocused against the eyes of Enzo while he spoke. Seemingly having a bit of a struggle in vocalizing the costume he envisioned in his mind's eye. "I see," Yves nodded, "you want to stand out. Totally understand." That quest, in itself, was enough to stump even the greatest thinkers and designers. It was certainly a challenge. To bring to life an idea exactly as it is envisioned. But, that was the fun. Yvette loved the challenge. And she had already begun imagining various styles of costumes against the man's physique. Contemplating various fabrics that would flatter his form and such. "I think we can ma—" what? Stealing? Her head quickly snapped back towards the dress she had in her possession previously. Eyes widening before turning back to the male in front of her. [break][break] "I-I wasn't stealing anything! I was checking the tag to see if it was my size!" That's how rumors formed! "I was obviously going to pay for it. That dress has been out of stock since it arr—..." why was she explaining herself? There was no need to defend a crime she hadn't or wasn't even planning on committing. Eyes lowered to a mild glare before rising at the shift in the male's posture. Hands out, cupped into a bowl form. Pleading for her assistance. Was it really such a big deal that he had a unique costume? She had met various people who were possessed by the spirit of Halloween. But this guy... the dark lord had his psyche in a vicious chokehold it seemed. Name inscribed in the book of the beast and all. "Fufu, you're silly." It was amusing, no denying that. "No need to beg, I'll hel—" oh? A deal? "Hm?" [break][break] Yvette's head tilted like that of a curious puppy. Intrigued, she was. [break][break] "What kind of deal?" Surely, he wasn't looking for some kind of discount? On an original piece? It just simply was not done. However, she wouldn't count him out just yet. Maybe he had something of worth to offer up? Hands moved to her hips, head straightening. Then, cocking the other direction, threads pulling a smirk at her lips. "I'm listening..."
[attr="class","stylishtext"] Ah, so the notebook carried a few personal thoughts inside of it. That made sense as to why he was so keen as to return the favor of finding and returning it to him. At first, she had thought it to be that of a normal notebook. Carrying nothing more than notes and dates for scholarly things within. But now that she knew otherwise, she could certainly understand why he would want to keep it away from prying eyes. Something akin to her songwriting book. Though, it may not have carried as many personal notes as his notebook. She would still have been rather upset had it been taken and read without her permission. Even more so if it had been because of her own clumsiness. An insult to injury, sort of deal. It made her all the more pleased to have stopped her classmate from skimming the pages. Though, it would be false to say that she wasn't curious about the contents herself. Though, that was just human nature to be. [break][break] "Oh yeah, she nodded, "I was just planning a meet-up with a few classmates for a project." Head craned over to the group of girls who were walking away into the distance. "Pretty sure I'll end up being the leader of the group." Shoulders shrugged, and Yvette let loose a chuckle. "Not that I mind too much. I prefer it, actually." That way, she could ensure they would be successful. The girl was always a bit iffy when it came to group activities. Whereas working alone, if she failed, she had no one to blame but herself. But, when others were involved, there came about other facets that she couldn't explicitly control. Emotions, opinions, actions. Things of that nature. Each group activity was a learning experience. One she would certainly need to master if she planned on making waves in the business world. [break][break] Alec Shepherd. Nope, she hadn't heard that name in any of her classes. "Business and communications." Yves answered without hesitation. "Minor in fashion, dabbling in music." She'd do well to remember his name. His physical physique would easily single him out among the other males around the university. He was tall, carried a muscular physique. And, with his name not being that of French descent, it stood to reason that he was a foreigner. Or well, hadn't grown up in New Paris. Similar to that of a majority of students here. "Music's more of a hobby, though. I take it pretty seriously all the same." If she and Roselia could hit it big, she would take their fame and create a fanciful life for her and the girls. Even if they didn't, she still wanted her friends to live a life as close to luxury as possible. [break][break] "What about you?" Head craned over to Alec as she continued strolling onward, "sports medicine major?" She snickered. "I'm kidding. That would be too obvious. You don't act like the usual sports medicine student. Even if you look the part." Again, the guy was built like a sport's player. "Um... English major?" Another guess, due to the information gained on the notebook.
[attr="class","stylishtext"] What a kind boy. Er, well, maybe he preferred to be called man? Regardless, he was very polite and well-mannered. Which made it all the easier to lend him a hand in the gathering of his objects and placing them into his bag. And, now that she was closer and could get a more thorough look at him, his style of dress was very trendy as well. Definitely a good sign. Sifting through mental images of her classmates, and the various classes that she enrolled in; Yvette couldn't place him in any of them. So, maybe he was older than her? Or perhaps younger? Then, of course, there was always the option that his major had placed him in classes opposite to her own. All the same, she had pegged him a student here at St. Elbandia and it was nothing to lend a fellow student a hand. "No need to thank me, it'd be rude to watch you struggle." She responded with a nod, standing up after having acquired all of his items. [break][break] "Oh good," he wasn't hurt, that was a plus. "Carrying you to the infirmary would have probably turned a few heads." Freehand gripped at the strap of her backpack. "Long day?" Being that exhausted sounded terrible. She could easily recall making it home and collapsing against her mattress on days where school and work were a thing. She could certainly sympathize with the guy. Though... she had never been so tired that she spilled her purse against the ground while possibly sitting on a bench. Maybe he had dozed off, or something like that? A little risky to do in public, but the campus was widely monitored and safe. So a nap outside may not have been the worst idea. Huh, maybe she should opt for the girls to meet outside for the project? Maybe at a nice cafe, too. [break][break] "Coffee?" Brows perked upward for a moment at the offer presented to her. there was a nice little place close by that served excellent coffee. And, she didn't have any plans either. "Hmmm..." index finger tapped against her lower lip, head turned upward, and an inquisitive hum ensued. "Sure," Yvette nodded, "I like coffee." Sounded like this guy was willing to pay for the entire thing too. Getting a cup of coffee for free? Sign her up. "You must have some sort of secret in that notebook or something." She teased, waiting for him to gather his things. [break][break] "Yvette. Nice to meet you...?" Her introduction extended, waiting to learn the name of the generous notebook owner.
