Although Chaos claims to be the very state of existence from which the first entities appeared, it cannot form into the entity it wants most.
So it has been cursed to stay in the form of a dark and shapeless void. Floating between existence and nonexistence.
Longingly watching as stars are constantly born and lives are lived. The seeds of malice had been planted, flourished and transformed Chaos into the purest form of evil.
I'd like to introduce you to Annalyse Wolf, Kaiden's high school sweetheart and the love of his life. She was Kaiden's next door neighbor growing up and they spent a great deal of time together. If you were to ask Kaiden he's been in love with her since the moment he laid on her eyes. The same could be said for her as well, but she didn't exactly make it easy for him to get her. She was constantly playing hard to get, and enjoyed teasing Kaiden a great deal. They only actually started dating back when the two of them were leaving middle school for high school.[break][break]
It wasn't all sunshine and daisies though. You see one night while the two of them were walking home from date when the two were sixteen they ended up getting jumped. A couple of muggers looking to collect on what little money the teenagers had. In a bid to keep the woman he loved safe Kaiden made a deal. A contract for power in order to protect what was most precious to him. In gaining that power and learning of the danger he'd be placing Annalyse and his family in Kaiden left home. Changing his name from Niklaus to the one he goes by today.[break][break]
Left heartbroken, alone, and traumatized from the mugging Annalyse could only wonder why the love of her life had left her. Especially during a time where she needed him the most. She tried her best to let it and him go but couldn't. The question of why and where ate away at her more than it should have. It was only matter of before she began her search for him. In doing so Annalyse came in contact with a magical entity of her own.[break][break]
A Vice. It offered her the power and the means to claim everything she had ever wanted...and she took it without question. She embraced its magical gift and the strength in made it her feel.[break][break]

Kaiden rubbed at the his ring as he stared at the snowstorm raging on outside the coffee shop window. The blizzard had come from nowhere, and it didn't look like it was going away anytime soon. The sudden appearance of the storm had people baffled. The weatherman had called for a slight chill not a full blown arctic assault. There was no natural explanation and thus that left only the unnatural. Not that Kaiden had thought anything but the obvious. He knew the moment the storm hit that something magical was headed this way. You do this job for three years and you gain a certain...clarity about this stuff. One that had saved Kaiden's life numerous times. It had also placed him directly into the line of danger just as often.[break][break]
Normally he didn't mind but the weather being the way it was put him on edge. He disliked winter and snow on it's normal days. But now that it had some magic behind it? Well it certainly wasn't doing itself any favors earning Kaiden's love. The young man let out a heavy sigh as he glanced down towards his ring. The reminder of his contract with Fen. A promise that he'd do the man's bidding in exchange for the power to protect. A reminder that it didn't matter if he liked the cold or not. He'd still have to brave winter's curtain and find the danger likely lurking within. He finished his coffee and stood himself up from his chair. He tossed his heavy coat around his body, making sure to zip it tight, before leaving the store and heading out into the storm.[break][break]
His black beanie was wrapped snuggling around his hair and ears, but protected him little from the sting of cold air on his skin. He silently cursed himself as he traveled along the Popincourt streets. It was difficult to navigate, even harder to see, but Kaiden kept moving along. He attuned his sense to the world around him. Let the strength of his magic and star seed radiate out into the world. It was like a beacon, calling out to anyone or anything willing to answer it. He was hoping to attract the attention of youma, or of the person who had caused the snowstorm but he doubted that person would make themselves known. At least that easily. The youma were far more likely. That or some other magically inclined person would hear his call. Maybe they'd answer or maybe they'd just ignore him. Because who else would be crazy enough to weather this blizzard?

Three, you can only transfer and absorb current emotion. If your target is infuriated, but you wish to sap them of sadness, you'll only end up absorbing their rage. And finally, Love and Hate cannot be transferred. If you attempt to transfer or absorb either, you will feel a sudden sensory overload, leaving you paralyzed with despair for a total of 2 posts. Kaiden is capable of sending the tentacles around the blade outward to ensnare enemies by grabbing hold of them. These tentacles are not impervious to harm, however, and can be cut severing their hold.[break]

NAME: Eldritch Blast[break] CLASS: D[break] DESCRIPTION: An offensive spell that allows Kaiden to release a blast of magical energy from the palms of his hands or ring. In addition to the energy being of a dark sickly green color. It also as the unique effect of starting out smaller in size upon being launched. The moment before impact (or at a moment of Kaiden's choice) the sphere energy will expand becoming larger in size.[break][break]
Kaiden was born Niklaus Iglehart to a small family in the German countryside. The name 'Kaiden' is a pseudonym that he has used since running away from home at age 16.
The circumstance of his departure from his family and former life isn't due to anything traumatic in his childhood. Kaiden grew up living a rather normal life. He was actual with the love of his life & on track to be top of his class when he left home.
His contract and the being that approached him offering him was the reason for Kaiden's departure. His significant other was being hassled by thugs and Kaiden needed the strength to save her. When it was done rather than put his family and those close to him in danger he ran.
That was three years ago, and so much has happened to Kaiden since then. The least of which is that he has become a con artist in order to get by in his day to day life.
He arrived in New Paris a few days ago at the request of his Contractor.
