Chaos is known as the being that never became a star. It is everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time.
Neither good nor evil, the ultimate expression of nothingness. The antithesis of the cosmos, creation itself.
Although Chaos claims to be the very state of existence from which the first entities appeared, it cannot form into the entity it wants most.
So it has been cursed to stay in the form of a dark and shapeless void. Floating between existence and nonexistence.
Longingly watching as stars are constantly born and lives are lived. The seeds of malice had been planted, flourished and transformed Chaos into the purest form of evil.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius couldn't help but envy Oscar or rather just the majority of other people in the world sometimes. He can remember Marcus wondering if he had even liked their trip to the tower when his mentor had taken him here. He had appreciated it and had even thanked him but the man did not seem to truly believe him. In truth, the prosecutor did not blame him, he was never very good at emoting whether it was his facial features or even in his words. Finding them had always been hard and smiling had never exactly felt natural to him. Well except for a few times but they were extremely rare cases and can at be unnoticeable as he had found out when his high school friends first caught him smiling. Raising his voice was also rare as if he never had enough emotion or passion for that small push.[break][break]
Oscar, however, it was quite obvious that the man Yet Oscar had rushed over in his wheelchair faster than Julius's own brisk walk. His voice as he commented on the view was filled with a mixture of awe and joy. And then came that smile that seemed to lit up the room. Oscar himself never exactly had a big smile, usually a small warm one and while this one was not exactly a big grin, it was different. Gray eyes slightly widened at the sight before he recovered and gave a nod. As the prosecutor took out his phone, his fellow tenant (friend? was that the right word for them now?) got into position. It only then did Julius realize this was the first time he took a picture of someone since his job. He used to do this back in high school, even though he had never been an avid fan of photography, he and his friends had taken turns taking pictures of one another. However, college education had made it harder to come into contact with some of them and now he had both his job and his duty as a magus to keep him busy. [break][break]
The two-toned haired male snapped the picture before opening his contact ready to send it to Oscar when something occurred to him. Outside of Alex (whose picture he had used back when he was in high school), no one else on his contact ever had a photo. He never saw any reason to bother them but...if he already had done anyway...Julius inserted the photo as Oscar's contact picture before sending it to the brunette.[break][break]
With the picture taken and sent, Julius's companion had thanked him for arranging this. "It..is not...anything.." he assured the other. It wasn't as if Julius had a very busy life that he had to push anything aside, in fact, it was Julius who had even chosen the date and time. This was nothing to be thanked for. "We can...come here...at night....if you want..." Julius offered. It would be a bit busier but maybe he can research on when would be a good time. The city would be lit up and that in itself would be a beautiful sight, that was the one that had greeted Julius during his first time anyway.[break][break]
Oscar's voice brought the magus out of his reverie. Gray eyes shifted over to his companion before walking over to see what he was looking at. His companion had specifically pointed out the background and...strange..."is that..snow?"[break][break]
"Guys look, there's snow outside!" someone shouted out confirming that yes...it was indeed snowing outside. In November...Paris itself did not experience very much snow but to experience it in November?[break][break]
"It's...November..." Julius couldn't help but comment before he looked down at the phone in his hand, opening up the weather app to see that the weather had not updated to forecast snow yet. In fact, it was supposed to be sunny today. Gray eyes squinted...was this just a bad forecast? Yet to be so wrong to this extent? Julius looked back out wondering if he was simply too paranoid. That must be the case. The weather could be wrong after all...he will just have to wait. "It...makes...a nice...view?" was all that Julius could offer in his attempt to be 'normal'.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]Julius waited patiently for the words knowing what it was like when one was unable to find them. However, he had not expected the revelation and instantly knew that he had done something wrong. Even if he didn't know and had come to terms with his own parent's passing (even if the loss did reignite from time to time), he shouldn't have triggered that. The male bit his lips unsure of what to say. What was there to say? Apologies never felt right or at the very least, Julius had never liked to hear them. It wasn't the apologizer's fault his parents had died and heard it only made him felt pitied by said apologizer. [break][break]
There was a sound of a closing laptop and he quickly saw a hand reaching out. Oscar was excusing himself and Julius honestly didn't blame him. Again, he was unsure of what to say and the words at the tip of his tongue were simply inadequate. Not trusting himself, he gave a nod while averting Oscar's face. He messed up..he had obviously messed up. Really, it shouldn't have been anything too surprising as Julius had never been very good at being social. And then...Oscar said he was looking forward to it.[break][break]
When gray eyes looked up, something in the back of his mind had told him that there would be a look of disapproval. Not to say that he met with very much disapproval in his life, if anything, Julius was often left alone to his thoughts. However, his words had clearly stroke a nerve but yet...he as met with a smile. The same smile Oscar often give him when they shared a meal together or when the brunette had finished repairing his laptop. Gray eyes widened like saucers before Julius managed to collect himself and gave a stronger nod. "Me too," he assured the other his voice slightly louder than usual..which had caused him to flinch. It wasn't as if it was loud enough to catch the attention of other patrons of the cafe but..it was certainly louder than his usual voice...much louder than expected. "I...look..forward to it...as well..." he stated, his voice going back to its usual volume as he let Oscar's hand go. [break][break]
Julius left after ordering some coffee and tea for those in the office. Maurice had asked him what the special occasion was to which Julius had merely kept quiet. He was unsure if it was anything special but..it was just nice...to know that he hadn't lost a small sense of his own normality.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Wait...Merlin did not know? Wouldn't he have been in the body for as long as this Jayce has been alive? Perhaps he had not awakened until recently? That was a possibility, Julius was still quite unsure on how this all worked after all. And while Julius respected the man for his wisdom, he could not help but bite his lips at how Merlin stated he had been more focused on Jayce accepting his responsibility at such a young age. When the prosecutor had only been seventeen, he might have had goals of helping society but that had always been in the future. He had never exactly thought about doing it at age seventeen or even younger because he was taught that it was simply not his time.[break][break]
He's afraid of what embracing his gift would mean. That he is not normal.[break][break]
Not normal...Julius..had never considered that. After all, Julius had taken on this power and therefore in a sense, he was born normal (only with a stronger star seed) but Jayce was born with this power. He couldn't say he could fully understand the boy's position for he was born biologically (spiritually?) normal. And strictly speaking, Jayce wasn't normal. He was born with a body and one can only imagine what it must be like to have another spirit. Schizophrenia was not exactly a term used lightly nor was it used positively. Had Jayce ever been worried about his own sanity?[break][break]
The two-toned haired male tilted his head as Merlin gave him a smile stating that he had an idea. An idea that required Julius' help. It was not to be done for free as the spirit also offered something for Julius's benefit but he was not sure what that was. Either way, the male gave a nod, "What..is it?" he asked, gray eyes focused on Merlin.
notes: i'm so sorry julius just does not talk much orz
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] On the day, Julius had suggested the date, he had bought the tickets for the two. It didn't cost too much, especially for someone who didn't often spend his money. Arriving into the building, the prosecutor had shown the app on his phone and they were allowed to access the elevator. Fortunately, because it was a Thursday afternoon, there were not exactly very many people. The two-toned haired male looked out at the building as the elevator reached higher and higher. Last time he had been here, Marcus had him walk up in order to get the 'whole experience'. Now, he was in the elevator...it honestly did not feel any different to him at all.[break][break]
As the elevator made a small 'ding' announcing that they were on the top floor, Julius held onto the elevator door allowing Oscar to leave before following behind him. Looking out at the glass, gray eyes could not help but widen. Even if he had seen the sight before, he would be lying if he said it wasn't breathtaking. The prosecutor approached the window to look out at it not exactly wanting to go out to the balcony just yet. It was only at the voices of a group of friends posing, laughing and taking pictures did it occur to Julius.[break][break]
"Should I...take...a picture...of you?" Julius asked. Marcus had taken a picture of the two of them during Julius first visit (despite the Vesper's protest). However, the man had told him that it was part of the experience and therefore, it wasn't something Oscar should miss out on, right?
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]Really? Julius had always thought homebaked goods were common..at least when one did not grow up alone. Then again, he supposed there was always a chance that one was just not that fortunate and the entire family simply did not bake. It wasn't as if such a thing was required despite how tv shows and movies might make it seem. However, it seemed that it was only specifically homemade brownies that Oscar had no experienced. His homebaked goods had been banana bread, something he had once tried to replicate only to no avail. The prosecutor once cooked when he had lived with Alex but that felt like something long ago...when really it had not even been a full year yet.[break][break]
"Have...you...thought...about....asking...for...a recipe?" Julius couldn't help but ask. If there was a recipe, then Oscar would only have to follow the instruction right? "Or ask...her...to make some...for you?" which was always a possibility as long as his mother was not living too far away. If not, again there was always the recipe.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] After Oscar had shown Julius that forum post, the prosecutor had decided to investigate more on the site. Honestly, it had been quite an adventure as he had never cared for forum boards or chat platforms. They had never been anything of importance for someone who was essentially a recluse. The forum talked more than a just strange phenomenon, it also talked about the latest movies, politics, rumors on stars and so on. The forum was rather overwhelming, to say the least, but Julius soon started to sort them in his mind by their titles.[break][break]
Which was why he was here now...this was the latest rumor and somehow it didn't surprise him that it was in Lourve. This was the arrondissement that was visited and cared for the least, a perfect place for corrupted or youmas to hide out simply because more people would not care. In truth, even Julius avoided coming here and had done quite a good job of it until now. His black coat, turtleneck, and black pants were something that should had fitted in but...glancing at some of the people Julius had spotted, their clothes quite covered in dust that even black had turned to brown. Julius can only hope that he will not stay here for too long.[break][break]
Pale hands in his pocket, the male headed into a decrepit building. There was supposed to be a building that was supposedly haunted...where some had apparently heard voices, disappeared and when the came back they had no memories left. Again, it could very well be some horror stories and months ago, Julius would have thought exactly that. However, it could also be a possibility of a youma or something more. Perhaps even a kidnap case...although Julius was not sure what there was to gain from this.[break][break]
The prosecutor stood still waiting for any voices to come...but there didn't seem to be any. Should..should he just leave or should he stay here longer? He had the day off today so it wasn't like his work as a prosecutor would be affected. The male bit his lips in contemplation when he heard footsteps. "Who's there?" the magus asked as he turned around.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] "Not using it...would also...have consequence..." Julius stated after a small moment of silence. Using magic was not the only consequences but also not using it. If there was someone in front of you that could help you but yet...you didn't help them. That choice of not doing anything will have a consequence down the line whether one had magic or not. However, the addition of magic could very well exacerbate it.[break][break]
The desperate want...it could be argued that Oscar had a stronger wish than Julius did. Even though Julius had wanted that man in jail, he had never looked into magic or anything fantastical as a possible answer. In fact, he had never even entertained the idea let alone go online to look into them. Beggars could not be answer...and yet Julius could not help but feel as if some part of this had been his fault. Even if he knew logically, just because he had a strong star seed, that did not affect Oscar's own. Yet...Oscar should not be bound to the life that he had. If he was able to walk, Julius was sure that people would not treat him as different. Not to say that they scorned him, as far as Julius knew, but there were also those pitying looks. Julius knew those looks well due to growing up an orphan, it made it hard to talk to people. An apology was on the tip of his tongue, ready to apologize for being luckier than Oscar but Julius had managed to swallow it down. "I see..." was all that he was able to say. No words of comfort, not even the truth that could bring hope to Oscar. Not when there was the price that came with it. A pale hand fiddled with the earing on his left ear...the one that carried his sou. The very idea still felt weird and there were still many questions he wanted to ask about that but...he wasn't sure if he wanted to know the answer either.[break][break]
The computer repair changed the subject asking about Julius's job. "Ten..." so looking at the clock and seeing as the office was in the same district he had about an hour left. "Today is...paperwork...and some...interviews." So not exactly a busy day but not a relaxing one either. No, it was one with just enough work to somewhat satisfy Julius...depending on how long the interviews go. The man finished his bagel and took another sip of his tea, The prosecutor honestly wished he was a better subject to talk about if only because he did not want to encourage Oscar's thinking. Yet, he wasn't sure how to actively discourage it...not without revealing magic to him anyway. "Alex...is..interesting..." Alex was possibly the only thing interesting about Julius if only because of his association to the older Vesper, "he tends to talk...a lot more. He also has a lot of passion." the words came out a lot easier than they had before. It was amazing what talking about Alex could do."He also makes...good brownies..." in fact Julius would argue he was probably a better cook and baker than the younger Vesper. He almost missed the brownies his brother used to bake.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Gray eyes glanced away at the compliments given to him. He did not think it was very amazing to know what a vessel was due to the fact that he could not understand the full nature of it. All he knew was that the body inherited the soul similar to a reincarnation system but he was still unsure of what folklores were correct and which was nothing more than fiction. As for his name, Julius was quite fond of it if only because it was what his parents had given to him. It reminded him of where he came from but he was not sure if he can say it was a 'strong' name.[break][break]
"You're...in...a lot of...movies..and tv...shows." Not that Julius really kept up with all the renditions of King Arthur but he did read some of the books. Nonetheless, Arthur and Merlin were kept alive in the minds of the people even if the version may be inaccurate. Then again, Julius wasn't even sure how accurate the books were and that might be a problem all on its own.[break][break]
At the comment, Julius took a step back, "sorry..." he apologized. Perhaps he had asked too much. Yet, Merlin had compared the prosecutor to himself. In all honesty, he could not see it. Merlin had always sounded like a wise man, perhaps there were actions he did later that Julius did not like such as lying to King Arthur (in some versions) but he was still wise. He couldn't really imagine the wizard ever needing to ask questions to anyone. If he did not know the answer, then who did?{break][break]
When Julius dared to look back up at the wizard, he saw the man (he decided that would be the best way to refer to him seeing as Merlin was older than Julius) look at the tree he had stricken. His words, made the prosecutor narrow his eyes in contemplation. Was this because he was in the body of a boy or had chaos grown that strong? If so then Julius might have to try to hunt down the person who had strike the skeleton. [break][break]
Jayce, that was the name of the true owner of the body. A boy, as Merlin had referred to him, who most likely had his own life. Julius could almost understand as this was not his choice. Neither Jayce nor Merlin had asked for this. He understood the importance of the star seed as it was his own that had called forth Io. Yet, Julius was only able to use the power he had through Io, Jayce was always born with it. A power that came with a responsibility he hadn't asked for but that was what fate had brought him nonetheless.[break][break]
"How..old is he?" Julius asked slightly tilting his head. Again he estimated around twenty at most, "and..did he say..why?" Was it the danger? Was he scared to fight? Julius would not exactly blame him if he was only a kid. Unfortunately though, if the danger that was approaching them was that worrisome..he might be dragged in regardless of what he wants.
notes: he's been ignored for so long, let merlin have this ;__;
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Deeper in the dimly litted catacomb was a group of crimson eyes. Most likely a youma then or at least not humans. It was a good thing that the magician had decided to accompany Julius on his investigation. It was a group of dogs...with the first (either a leader of the pack of a sacrificial lamb) approached the two. Under better light and a closer view, the prosecutor noticed the size of the dog that was clearly bigger than your average dog. Pools of black ooze dripped from its open maw meaning that it would be best to use far range attacks as opposed to close range. Then there was this strange glow that Julius was unsure of what to make of.[break][break]
From the corner of his eyes, he saw Cassian slowly moving away from him. Was he creating a distance for when it attacked them? Wait...Julius noticed the way those red eyes seemed to be more trained at his companion. The magician had already known who it would choose as its first target. Julius was ready to defend him with a shield should he need it but the magician had also aimed a card at the creature.[break][break]
Gray eyes went back to the pack who could jump into battle at any given moment. He didn't want to alert them but he should do something as well. Right now they knew nothing about these creatures, he should focus on building as much time as he can. Calling forth his power, Julius created a wall of light acting as a barrier to block off the group. He did not know how long it would take for them to break through but this was the best he could do for now.[break][break]
Then turning back over to the first dog that had approached them, Julius summoned his bow and shot an arrow at it in case it had dodged the magician's own attack. If it didn't, well then having two strikes was better than one.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Magic...was honestly quite amazing. When Julius had his wish granted, there was a moment of disbelif..in how everything seemed to just fall in place. What the police had put away for years was magically given to them. Just like that magician had once told him..magic was in power, the power to affect the world around you. However, that also meant that there were consequences to those power. There were those who can use it responsibly and keep chaos at bay but there were also those that would help aid chaos. The selfishness that was in the latter group was almost disturbing, how they simply refuse to think about those around them. At least, he had assumed when looking at youmas or even that one skeleton on Halloween.[break][break]
The prosecutor gave a nod to Oscar's words, it was only fair. The best way to learn anything was to experience it...even if ironically that was never the case. One does not exactly see gravity as much as its effects and one certainly did not see the atoms and elements but yet it was still used. The experiences of others were often taken as fact in the realm of science but that was because there was a certain control to it. There was a process, something that did not exactly exist with magic and perhaps it was for the better. Magic should not be given to just anyone.[break][break]
There was irony in the brunette's words. Despite the fact that he said he didn't believe in it because he didn't see it, that didn't stop him from looking at the stars and hoping. Was that what one called faith or was it desperation? Julius was not exactly sure with the information he had. Then again, had he not confessed to his own wish to Io despite believing the evoker to be a madman during their first meeting? Ah..perhaps it was desperation after all.[break][break]
"If such...a thing exists...it is not...without consequences," the prosecutor warned, "but...do not worry...I was asked...something similar..once before." And had given an entirely different answer. "Do you...often look..into these?" he asked a bit curious and perhaps even concerned. The last thing he wanted was for Oscar to run into a youma, he was not sure if the other would be able to outrun one in his state. Gray eyes briefly glanced over at the wheelchair in thought before taking another bite of his bagel as he waited for an answer.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
Gray eyes glanced down at where Ayaka had patted Julius only to see the ashes coating his jacket. Hmm...he was really going to have to make sure his jacket was washed well, wasn't he? A small price to pay for a life, all things considered.[break][break]
At the sound of a scream, the prosecutor had broken into a run. There was someone there, someone that needed their help and time was ticking. Who knew how much more time they had until the building fall apart. He heard Ayaka crying out for him to stick together, "catch up," he did not exactly yell that back and it was a debate if the other even heard his voice over the roaring fire. Either way, the magi did not slow down as he was quite certain that she would be able to catch up. The jump from earlier had told him that she was certainly more athletically built than he was. [break][break]
His assumption had been right as the firefighter was able to catch up but the two were soon stopped just as they entered the room. Debris was on top of the bed the child was using for shelter. If Julius can use his magic he could try to blast them away or something. Unfortunately, magic had never been an option in this situation. Not with..gray eyes glanced over at his companion. One may not believe a child's words seeing it as nothing more than an active imagination but an adult was different. They tend to have more credibility and usually for good reasons. [break][break]
As Ayaka moved the debris away, Julius started to walk over a part of him wondering just how this was a good idea. Between the two of them, Ayaka was not only more physically able but also socially skilled. Still, he did his best to walk over slowly in fear that he may startle the child but also buy himself some time to think of the right words. "It's...alright..." he stated kneeling down and extending his hand. "Your sister...she's outside... let's go see her." If there was any benefit to Julius's inability to visibly display his emotions, it was that his voice remained calm despite the adrenaline and panic. He can feel his heart beating unsure if that was enough. "We'll protect you," he added for assurance and the child had taken a hold of his hand. Gently, he led the child out and away from the bed.[break][break]
As he did his best to let the child move away from the bed, however, more of the ceiling began to fall. Instantly, Julius moved to cover the child before casting a quick spell. If one was to pay attention, they would notice a small barrier held on top of the two protecting them from the debris. Remnants of the ceiling bounced off of the barrier before it was gone and Julius stood up. "Move," he told the child before leading him outside of the room. He glanced over to Ayaka (wherever she might be during this process), "we...have to go...the building..." he urged. Again, he truly had no idea how long it can hold but he did not want to test it either. More importantly, he didn't want Ayaka to think or question what had just happened should she have seen it.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius gave a nod, so that meant it was mainly fixing computers and documents today? He understood the annoyance of documents as despite how he might act, he was a fan of the bureaucracy at times. Yet, he would be lying if he said he did not understand their importance. Even more was that it should mean that it would be a more relaxing day right? That's always good. He watched as the other softly laughed as if amused by something that Julius could not understand. It was not exactly anything new for the prosecutor though and he merely gave a nod of acknowledgment to this unknown factor. As long as it made the other happy and it did not hurt anyone, he saw no reason to not encourage it.[break][break]
Despite the fact that Julius's face remained the same, there was a bit more light in his eyes at the mention of his brother. His shoulders relaxing a little bit as he took a sip of his tea. It would be nice if Alex could come as it meant that he could meet Oscar. Julius also enjoyed spending time with Alex in general. 'I will...thank you," he stated with a small nod. Of course, it all depended on Alex's schedule. If he could come it honestly would be wonderful but if he couldn't, Julius would understand. Even if Alex often made time for him, his brother was a busy man and he would like to intrude as little as possible.[break][break]
As Julius took the plastic knife and started to spread the cream cheese onto the bagel, he can hear the soft sound of clicking from Oscar. He was most likely doing some of the paperwork right now, Julius almost wished he could do the same. Oscar's work ethic was something to strive for...despite what Marcus often try to push for. Not wanting to disturb him, the prosecutor elected to look out the window at the people passing by. [break][break]
It was the voice of his companion that brought him away from his people watching, only to be met with a computer screen. His eyes absorbing the information as Oscar scrolled the screen down. Hmm..interesting, gray eyes flicked over to the top to look at the title of the forum. This could very well be a hoax but it might also not be. Either way, as a magi, it was Julius's duty to investigate this.[break][break]
“Do you believe in this? I mean, magic?”
[align=right] "Tell me, stranger, do you believe in magic?" [/align]
It has only been two months since he had heard this question and it was funny in how much has changed. Two months certainly was enough to change one's view about life. However, there was usually an extent to that and Julius was sure that the understanding of one's own reality certainly crossed it. [break][break]
"It's...possible..." he offered the neutral answer where in the past hew ould had rejected such ideas. He could have said no, could have lied, but Julius did not wish to betray the nice acquaintanceship he had with Oscar. This was the best option he had. "There...isn't proof..that it doesn't..." which for anyone who lived in the realm of science (something Julius once had), it would mean nothing. "So...it's possible..." he took a sip of his tea in an attempt to find the right words. "I didn't know...you were interested..in this," he gestured over to the computer screen in an attempt to redirect this conversation.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] The boy ceased his spell, turned around and greeted Julius with a small smile. The prosecutor merely nodded at his question. It felt strange to see the boy clasp his hands behind him almost like a teacher. And like a teacher, the boy had cleared his throat before confirming. So..Merlin and King Arthur might very well be real...either that or Julius was meeting with someone who was not mentally sound. No, something told him the former was more likely, then again perhaps that was because he was quite prone to leaning into magic as an answer to many strange phenomena in his life now. [break][break]
Yet, to hear that the person in front of him was Magi, did take Julius back even if his face remained in its neutral expression. Gray eyes trailed after Merlin who circled him either acting as a predator or analyzing him. Either way, there wasn't any reason or Julius to be wary...yet. "A vessel," he stated with a small nod to show that yes, Julius did understand...to a certain extent. This was still all quite strange for him in all honesty. Soon, he found himself in front of the boy (man?) who asked for his name.[break][break]
"Julius." Unfortunately, the prosecutor could not really say he held any title that of prestige. ",,,Magi.." yet he felt the need to add something. It was just unfortunate that this was all he could think of. "I...didn't know...you were...real." Which, once again, in retrospect, Julius should have seen coming. It would only make sense with everything else. "Did you....always..have magic?" Was the original Merlin also a vessel or was he a magi or noblesse? Did humans once inherently have magic but somehow lost it? Just...how exactly did this work?[break][break]
This was raising a lot of questions now that Julius thought about it. Maybe he should try to focus on the more important ones. "Is..there danger...approaching?" Most likely, why else would Merlin be training right? Of course, youmas still exist and were a form of danger themselves but...were there any other dangers Julius should know about? Then again, just how much did Merlin know?

[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius can only assume - hope - that Oscar did not wait for very long from his words. "Fine," he stated. He slept well enough with no dreams or at least none he could remember. Sleep was sleep and the fact that he didn't wake up in the middle of the night was all that he needed. The prosecutor arched a brow at the other stating that he can pick any date. Julius took out his phone and looked at the available slots. They were various tickets from what floor one would have access to and even if one would take the elevator or the stairs. "...Thursday...around one?" he asked his fingers hovering over the tickets for said date. They might as well go to the very top around that time when people would normally be too busy with work. Julius would have to leave work early so he would have to talk to the office about that. Hopefully they would allow him.[break][break]
After receiving an answer, the prosecutor glanced at the laptop the other hand on him, "what jobs.are you..doing today?" he asked somewhat out of obligation but also out of mild curiosity. Chances are, he would not truly understand but it was always interesting to know. One should learn about those around them anyway...maybe then Julius would have a better understanding on how to be social.
note: made a few assumptions so totally hmu if you want any edits

[attr="class","nologicpost1"] There was a sense of relief at Oscar's acceptance, "Alex. Alex Vesper...he's...amazing...I think..you two...will get along..." if only because Alex seemed to be able to get along with everyone. Really, outside of their last names and looks, it would be very difficult to see any resemblance between the two. To even compare himself to Alex was a folly all on its own.[break][break]
Julius watched as his fellow tenant checked his phone before agreeing to go back inside. The two headed to the elevator and head the other gave a specific invitation to the cafe. They would just meet there before heading off to work. It didn't sound too bad, it would just mean less instant coffee and going to a cafe. It wasn't as if the male couldn't afford such a life as much as he just never had any reason. He gave a nod silently agreeing to see Oscar at the cafe tomorrow. The rest of the ride had been silent, with Oscar gracing him with a smile and a small wave once they reached his floor. Julius lifted his hand and gave a small nod before the door closed.[break][break]
It was only when he had laid in bed with his mind calmer due to the conversation did it occurred to Julius that they could have just walked together. Wasn't that what normal people usually do? However, it was too late and the male soon closed his eyes.[break][break]
The next day, he had gone to the cafe Oscar mentioned, it wasn't that hard to find as it was truly close by. In fact, Julius was quite sure that he had passed the cafe many times without ever thinking much about it. Once inside, he gave an order of some caffeinated tea and a bagel before heading over to the table Oscar was sitting at. "Did you..wait long?" Looking at the clock, Julius had been a minute later than the usual agreed time. He can only hope Oscar had not arrived too early with his cup of coffee.[break][break]
The prosecutor set his food and drinks down before sitting across from his fellow tenant. "What day...are you free...for the...Eiffel tower?"
