Chaos is known as the being that never became a star. It is everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time.
Neither good nor evil, the ultimate expression of nothingness. The antithesis of the cosmos, creation itself.
Although Chaos claims to be the very state of existence from which the first entities appeared, it cannot form into the entity it wants most.
So it has been cursed to stay in the form of a dark and shapeless void. Floating between existence and nonexistence.
Longingly watching as stars are constantly born and lives are lived. The seeds of malice had been planted, flourished and transformed Chaos into the purest form of evil.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] An answer that wasn't exactly an answer. Julius will just have to take it as an affirmation for now. The next set of words were followed by a reappearance of Ava's smirk. She spoke with the confidence that can only be gained with wisdom. Either she was an exorcist of sorts (Julius was unsure of how to feel about the fact that such a thing was a possibility for him) or she was out of her mind. Yet, the smirk did not reach her eyes giving her a rather uncanny appearance, it reminded Julius of a serial killer or someone possessed by a spirit in the horror movies his friends would take him out to see during Halloween when he was younger. [break][break]
The prosecutor elected to not say anything and merely continued down the hallway. Ava soon sped her steps and went in front of him, the area feeling colder and that was when he heard it. The sound of moans startling the male to stop in his steps and look around in an attempt to pinpoint the sound. Julius opened his mouth ready to question his companion when the woman echoed his question grabbing his attention and drawing his eyes towards her. The blue haired female spun on her heels and on her face was a whole blown smile. Julius was unsure if she was enjoying it despite the danger or she was simply oblivious to it. Her hand tapped on the door and Julius gave her a hard look. He can still hear the moans but he wasn't sure where it was. Just like her voice previously, it felt as if it was coming from the entire building.[break][break]
Was there a youma that was interfering with his hearing? Julius had half a mind to grab Ava by her hand and drag her out of the building. He can try to investigate another day by himself but he was unsure of when he would have this amount of free time and who could get hurt during that time. The male bit his lips in contemplation before resigning to his current fate. He was already here, "stay close," he reminded Ava as he approached the door to enter it himself. It was dark and if the door was closed, Julius was unsure if he could use his powers. Well...maybe he could...he had tried it a few times before. However, he was too uncertain about to use it in a real situation.[break][break]
The male entered the room, "keep it open," he instructed her as his boots echoed within the room. The moans sounded like they were getting louder and Julius couldn't help but slightly wince. "Do you..hear that?" he asked looking around but unable to see anything that was out of place. Yet the cold sensation, the moans, it all felt so wrong.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] The question was asked with her voice dipping a few octaves. Julius merely blinked tilting his head to look at her as if asking why she would bother to ask such a question. Wasn't it only natural for human beings to be concerned for one another? If they did not have such traits, then they were simply not human. Nonetheless, after a moment of looking into her black eyes, the prosecutor gave a nod. [break][break]
Despite the potential danger, Ava asked if he saw something followed by a chuckle. Obviously, she was not treating this situation with the gravity it deserved. In a horror movie, she would be the first to die. He can only hope such a thing will not occur...well they were just movies anyway. The male merely kept quiet as they continued to walk, eyes looking around trying to spot anything that might be concerning. So far, there didn't seem to be a sign of any ghosts. That was good to know, even if it meant that this trip might end up being for nothing, it would also mean that this area was safe for now. Of course, one cannot be too cautious and the two have not exactly gone very deep into the building just yet.[break][break]
Only enough for the hallways to start becoming dark due to the closed windows and shades. He tried opening a window in order to welcome some more light into the building but it was to no avail. He almost wished the inner sections of the building was as weak as the outer ones. He asked his companion if she saw anything they can use...hopefully something to push this jammed window. She didn't exactly bother to answer him and instead merely asked him a different question.[break][break]
Julius tilted his head for a moment in contemplation before using his elbow to break the window to bring some light in and as a possible escape. If there was a youma here, he can use his barrier to close this window exit from them. "It's...possible." That was why he was here to investigate..however...did he actually believe in it? "But...unlikely. If ghosts...can exist..." he gave a small pause carefully choosing his next words, "There are...unfortunate..implications." Such as the fact that they did not indeed go to a better place and if that was the case...then were his parents still suffering? And for people to still haunt and kill others even in their death..."but if...such spirits exist...I'll eliminate them." After all, seeing as how many supernatural things seems to be youmas, Julius was sure his magic can combat ghosts. It was his duty working for not only the people but also as a magus to handle such things.[break][break]
"Do you...believe...in ghosts?" If she called herself a ghostbuster, that would imply she believed in ghosts right? Then again, the fact that she was chasing this rumor at least said she believed in the possibility of there being one.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] There was a moment of silence which was not exactly abnormal. Alex understood how Julius was socially slower than other people, how it takes him longer to find the words he would be satisfied saying. Yet, it was Julius who asked the question and was the one waiting. Yet, it did not take long for the younger Vesper to pointed out the injury the other had. One that had already been dressed so it couldn't have been too new. Julius frowned at his brother's nonchalant reply, obviously not exactly pleased by the answer. His brother shouldn't take things so lightly if he was going to be hurt. [break][break]
Oh..was that what happened? The prosecutor wasn't exactly clumsy but he has been working a lot so it might had been the exhaustion. He gave a small nod as Alex lightly laughed most likely remembering the scene. Julius gave a small nod. "I'll..have someone..look at it...later," just to be safe. He needed to take care of himself after all. At the question, Julius looked back over at the bag, gray eyes squinting as he tried to recall the information. Oh![break][break]
"Breakfast," he answered before placing his hand in the air and motioning for his brother to stay still, "don't move...just sit." If it was going to hurt, than Julius would set up the table. He was sure that everything was still where it was the last time he was here. The prosecutor walked and picked up the bag noting that the container were closed by the bag was dropped..hopefully the food would not be too knocked over. The younger male walked over and placed the bag, taking the boxes out and placing them on the table. Next he got the plates, cups, ice and utensils and for a moment it almost felt like he was living here once again. Yes..this feeling of staying with Alex.[break][break]
Yes..."Did..I...tell you..why...I'm here?" Julius asked. It was uncharacteristic of him to just drop in on Alex. In fact, unless there was a holiday, he would rarely ever come back to this apartment. Although, he was sure why he came here today..he really missed this; he missed Alex.[break][break]
With the table set, Julius opened the boxes revealing pancakes, stuffed croissants, scrambled eggs and sweet bread toast. Only the scrambled eggs looked fine, the other boxes certainly looked like a mess. "Sorry..." if only Julius had been more careful and not slipped.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Volunteering, usually an act of goodwill where one forsakes their free time in order to help others. Julius has heard about and read on some of them, at times finding unfavorable things in certain major groups that started to lean on the side of profit. However, that was more on the higher-ups than the actual volunteers themselves. The prosecutor had honestly never volunteered in his life before, he never had the time having to focus on his own education or well-being. Now, he had to divide his time between work and his duty as a magus. Actually, now that he thought about it, that did not sound like there was a lot on his list..was he just bad at managing his time?[break][break]
Going back to Sandrine though..why was he volunteering? Julius had heard of cases where people have volunteered in order to look good in the eyes of the public. Was that what Sandrine was trying to set up? The fact that the defense attorney in training even referred to his future career as 'helping the people' was also disgusting. Gray eyes narrowed at the thought. Yeah, keeping criminals out of jail and making the efforts investigators have invested was a great way to help people.[break][break]
"If..you want...to help...quit." he suggested before something occurred to him. Most cases were usually dealt with by the verdict of the judge but major cases were usually decided by a jury. Was Sandrine trying to garner positive attention now for his future job when he still has free time? Defense attorneys were disgusting, all of them. Always aiming to manipulate the jury's emotions through their actions rather than to get the jury to focus on the actual evidence.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius was about to merely gave a nod of acknowledgment as Sandrine's answer, not thinking too much on it. If it was something important to him and private than it was his matter. However, the following statement was what made Julius pause or rather not even start the action in the first place. Gray eyes narrowed at those words, the usual dull gray turning into steel. From the sound tapping on the umbrella, the rain sounded like it was starting to lighten up. Not enough for either of them to leave without the risk of getting sick but soon, very soon they would be able to.[break][break]
Pale hands on the table curled in on themselves as the prosecutor tilted his head, "what is it?" he asked. His usual monotone having a small cold edge to it. If it was something that would train him for the future, it was most likely as a defense attorney, especially if he was going to keep it so vague. If that was the case, Julius needed to know and he wasn't going to let Sandrine go until he does.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julie was the first to react to Yvette using her nickname by giving a big nod grinning at the girl, "yeah! You think he talks funny too right!?"[break][break]
Gray eyes blinked before glancing away, Julius's head slightly tilted to the side. Did...did he talk that funny? He knew that there were many pauses in his speech but people usually seemed patient about it. So yes, he knew he talked differently but he didn't think it was funny or humorous. Just...what exactly did he sound like to people outside of court? No, he couldn't let the word of a child affect him that much whether or not it was true. He could not really do anything about his speech pattern due to how slow he can be in social situations. Besides, it was better to be slow than to make some erroneous mistake and hurt someone's feelings or forget a social rule, right?[break][break]
Coughing into his hand in order to buy time, Julius looked at the building he had left. "I...work...here..." hmmm maybe he did talk funny. The prosecutor lightly bit his lips before shaking his head. "And...I saw..Julie's mother..but..Julie wasn't...with her."[break][break]
"That's because I'm with Yvette!" the child declared to which Julius nodded to. Yes, he can see that, which unfortunately caused some problems. They couldn't really talk about what happened the other night with Julie here. However, what was being discussed in the office was most likely not something they would want a child to hear either.[break][break]
"I'm...also...fine...getting...better." His arm still hurt when he tries to lift it up but it was certainly healing. "What..about you?"[break][break]
"You two know each other?"[break][break]
Right..."Halloween...party...."[break][break]
"You don't go to parties!"[break][break]
Julius blinked at the bold declaration...was it that obvious?
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Was it the magic coursing through his body or had he always been like this? No, Julius was never an alcoholic so he doubted he had ever built up any tolerance. Perhaps it was because his soul was simply no longer in his body? There were questions to be asked but now was not the time for that. In fact, he was almost tempted to order another from his high of victory (because it couldn't be anything else).
Morrigan took his hand and moved him to the exit, Julius somewhat stumbling his first few steps before he caught himself. Curious, gray eyes looked back at the people who Morrigan had waved: his co-workers. One of them had given Julius a nod reminding him yes...he was technically on an investigation right now. Others, however, gave him a mix of whistles, thumbs up and cheers. He almost felt guilty for disappointing them.[break][break]
Heels clicked on the sidewalk, the light from the lampost guiding them down the road, "15th arrondissement," he answered but nothing more than that. He couldn't tell her the truth yet. Later he will, either when he arrest her or find her innocent. He was honestly hoping for the latter. She suggested they should take a taxi before walking over to the bench, her hand motioning for him to follow.[break][break]
Gray eyes followed her almost in a daze before slowly making his way over as opposed to his normally brisk steps. Effortlessly, she had stated and Julius was unsure if it was effortless or not. He can somewhat feel the efforts but he would hardly call himself drunk...not that he fully understood what that was like. Yet, there was a small sense of happiness at being complimented by Morrigan which was strange. Julius had heard compliments in his life before and he usually took it with a small nod and gratitude. However, that was because they never fully meant much to them, words of kindness were all he ever saw them as for the most part. It was only with very few selected people did he feel like they had some deeper meaning, a small elation in earning their compliment. Which was rather strange...and the smell...he supposed it must have come from the bar because he could not say he was smelling it right now. If anything, his thoughts while a bit muddled felt clearer than before.[break][break]
"I..don't drink," he told her once again. Today was the first time Julius had ever actually drunk. As he neared the bench, he saw the small flicker of her eyes that glanced down before her hand moved over to her skirt. Gray eyes widened at the moment, she was covering something up. He looked around noting a few people here. Hopefully, there was an officer near them should she end up being a criminal.[break][break]
Once at the bench, Morrigan had shot him a grin commenting he did not seem like the type. "Golden rays I conjure thee. To give thy truth unto me. he muttered the incantation placing his hand over the one that was covering up the bloodstain. The lasso formed tying itself to the wrist of the hand covering the blood stain on one end, with the other end held by the hand Julius's hand, hidden away from those walking by them due to their close proximity and the back of the bench. "Why is there blood stain on your skirt?"
note: no worries you were busy. and you put up an event and had to tell k and ginger what's expected of a staff.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Ava, Julius gave a nod to the name. Judging by the name, the person must have been a girl then, not that it really told him anything much about her. "Under...different...circumstances...perhaps..." the prosecutor stated although he doubted they would have met in any other circumstances. Those who live here do not often have enough money to buy anything in the inner parts of the city and Julius rarely ever had any reason to come out here. [break][break]
Ava slowly lifted her hand from her pocket and it was only the speed of the movement that kept the magus still. No weapon, she was not someone dangerous, that was good to know. Julius gave a nod slightly relaxing his body and letting go of the tension. The last thing he needed was for there to be a youma and fight both her and a youma. Then again, even if she posed a threat to him and was a criminal, Julius knew that he would still have protected Ava nonetheless. Death by youma was not justice being served, only a human can judge another human.[break][break]
The two-toned haired male tilted his head looking at Ava from a slightly new angle as the girl (or was she a woman?) cheerfully declared her excitement. "It's dangerous," he practically hissed at the blue-haired female, gray eyes narrowed. Could she not understand that? Was she one of those adrenaline junkies?[break][break]
Whatever Ava was, she had decided to follow him and really, it wasn't like Julius could force her to leave. The building was big and with more than on opening. The woman (girl? just how old was she?) could very well come back inside without a care in the world. So yes...he did mind her tagging along but he couldn't exactly do anything about it.[break][break]
Julius let out a small sigh before giving a nod. If she was going to stay here, then being close to him would be better. He can keep an eye on her that way, "stay close," he instructed even if, in the back of his mind, he doubted she would listen. He would just have to keep a close eye on her more than anything. [break][break]
With that, the male started to walk deeper into the building where there was less light...which could be a problem. At least he could still see but should a youma attack them...just in case Julius walked over to a nearby window and tried to open it. Jammed...great..."do you...see anything...we can..use?" Julius asked his female companion.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] The sarcasm was not very amusing...not the small biting muttered retort. "You don't...know me..." he told the person. In truth, he was rather open to the idea of ghosts...to an extent..maybe. Let's just say it was a possibility with magic in the works and the skeletons he faced last month. However, he has yet to see these ghosts to really confirm their existence. Besides...if ghosts were real...then was it possible for him to...no. He couldn't entertain that idea right now.[break][break]
The prosecutor arched a brow, ghostbuster? Like those old movies, he had watched back when he lived with the policeman? That was...rather strange. Was the person joking? They had to be joking...he doubted they actually exist. Not even in a world where Merlin was apparently real, would Julius believe humans can suck in ghosts with a vacuum. Magic can only extend so far. Besides, wasn't Ghost Buster more of science anyway? Supernatural science but science nonetheless, there wasn't anything magical about vacuums.[break][break]
For a moment, he wondered if he should give out his name. Most likely not, even if he doubted anyone would recognize him. "Connor..." he decided that name after some contemplation, gray eyes more focused on the hands in the pockets than those black eyes. "And I'm...investigating...the rumors...of the missing...people...due to these...ghosts..." or so the rumor has hinted at. The male shook his head, "your services...aren't needed here...it's dangerous." he told the other. If they meant no harm, then he should remove them from the area should the rumors actually be true. "You know the...way out...right?" he asked with an arched brow. Hopefully, they did as they did walk here and even in a decrepit building, Julius doubted one can really get lost.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] From the shadows cast by the walls of the decrepit building came a figure that Julius was unsure if it was male or female. The black trenchcoat creating quite a disguise, long blue hair reading past their shoulders and black eyes. Just as he was examining the person in front of him, they were doing the same with him before a smirk played upon their lips. The male's back straightened, ready to spring into action should he need it even though he honestly hoped that he wouldn't. Their gloved hands reached into their pockets and Julius took a step back in case it was a weapon.[break][break]
"What do you...know about it?" he asked, gray eyes narrowed. He couldn't use his magic, not yet. Not when there was a chance where he could just run. Although this area was unfamiliar territory for the prosecutor and there was always the chance that this person wasn't alone. In other words, Julius was at a disadvantage compared to this person. He could not tell anything about them, not even their voice with how it was obviously modified with a static sound to it. In the back of his mind, he can already hear a certain police complaining to Julius that he was biting off more than he can chew once again.[break][break]
In his defense, he would like to think he can handle a normal human with his powers. The price to do such a thing though...well it might just be a bit too hefty. "What are you...even doing..here?" he asked his eyes always on this person in case they pulled something.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Matha's son had forgotten his phone today, something that was rather unusual for a teenager in the 21st century. Out of all the days, for such an accident to happen, it had to be during this snow storm. She was naturally worried about her son and was waiting for him when Julius had and Oscar had come back from their rather...eventful trip. The prosecutor found himself making the offer of going to the school to check up on the boy. It would allow him to investigate this strange weather phenomenon more and he would hopefully be able to help Martha as well. The woman had thanked him before giving him a lot of scarves and gloves to wear.[break][break]
Julius had also changed his attire wearing four layers and a rather thick coat for the sudden weather before heading out. Due to the storm, more public transportations were closed. Fortunately, the subway was underground and therefore, Julius was able to take it and head over to the 5th arrondissement which certainly helped cut the distance.[break][break]
The magus made it to the goat not allowing himself to take a break, not when it was only going to make things worse. However...he almost wished he had taken a cup of hot chocolate back in the apartment or even at the subway before he left. Or even a heating pack...curse his lack of foresight. The storm was also making it hard to see and Julius was almost tempted to use his power to create a barrier to somewhat block the snow and help his vision. However, there might be some poor unfortunate soul outside and so he didn't want to risk that.[break][break]
Perhaps he should have though because before Julius can reach a building (at least he managed to pass the gate) the prosecutor found himself on his knees. His body shivering against the cold despite how he had attempted to dress himself.[break][break]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius watched as the dog whined, its vision impaired just before his arrow had struck it as well. The creature started to back away retreating only to be met with the barrier. While the magic could not hurt the dog, it did serve a message, there was to be no help or escape for it. It would die here alone if such a word can be used for youmas. Eradication was most likely more much more fitting.[break][break]
He expected the creature to mindlessly charge at them but instead, it had howled. As it howled, there was a red glow to it and Julius found himself taking steps back until he was against a wall. The heat rising either for a blast or something else. The magus had considered creating a barrier but that would mean taking the one he already had down. No..he couldn't afford to do that right now. Hopefully, his body would be able to- the blue haired magician stepped in front of Julius. Huh? The raven haired male opened his mouth ready to tell the other to get away when cards were held back magic in the air in front of them. A shield?[break][break]
Julius shielded his eyes with his arms as the creature exploded. The prosecutor coughed at the smoke caused by the explosion before noticing that there was a lack of warm light from his barrier. That could only mean- as the smoke settled, two more of the creatures jumped into the fray. However, unlike their companion, these creatures elected to fight far range shooting out balls of fire. The prosecutor rolled out of the way in order to dodge, gray eyes noticing Cassian seeming to catch the fireball with his hankerchief..making it disappeared before summoning a sword.[break][break]
The man was certainly well-versed in magic with all of these abilities. Gray eyes turned back towards the dogs before calling forth his own power. Two images of Julius and one image of the magician appeared away from the original all moving in different directions hoping to confuse the creatures. Julius and his images summoned their bows before firing at the dog from different angles. Only one of those arrows was real, so only one of it could actually hurt the creature, Julius can only hope that was the one that would land on the target.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius did not pay attention to her words, not when there were more pressing matters at hand. However, he couldn't ask his question right now and instead had merely pulled out his license in case anyone planned to stop him. This might lead some to believe possible arson but he will simply have to deal with that later. He could always pretend there was a case and never follow up or file it to the police as he was quite sure that it was nothing more than an accident. Then again, he wasn't exactly an expert on arson. [break][break]
As he opened his mouth to ask the woman his question, he saw the grinned on Ayaka's face. He was unsure as to why but had continued on nonetheless asking if what she did was magic. Having been trained to be a prosecutor and going through many witness interviews and testimonies, Julius had been able to pick up certain tales when one is nervous. Usually, they talk more, much more than they would have to. A person who was not involved with magic would most likely say 'no' and arc a brow or something of the sort. Ayaka however, had gone on a spiel, her eyes unable to make contact with him or even stay still as if looking for an escape.[break][break]
Even at her cry of what Julius assumed to be a fictional criminal (as if one would fall out of the sky that easily), steel gray eyes never once looked away from her. She took three steps, just three steps, Julius had opened his mouth to warn her but it came too late. The girl ran into a wall and had fallen onto the ground. Ironically, it had made his job easier.[break][break]
As the girl demanded a lawyer, Julius muttered under his breath, "Golden rays I conjure thee. To give thy truth unto me." A golden lasso appeared wrapping itself around Ayaka's hand, one that Julius held onto in order to make sure she did not escape. Kneeling down, he used his free hand to offer her some help should she need it to stand up. [break][break]
The lasso was something Julius had used in order to get a confession from criminals, usually when they start to yell so that Julius's quiet words would go unheard. His hands would be placed under the table and the lasso would tie itself around their ankle where it would usually be blocked from view until it was over. However, it wasn't something he used too much, only when the crime was too worrisome, would he bother to get the confession. Due to this, however, Marcus had jokingly started a rumor that Julius's cold gray eyes can scare confessions out of criminals. Now, however, it was to be used on a magic user, he couldn't help but wonder how that would play out. The lasso had a soft glow, one that could create a burning sensation for the woman should she lie, one that would cause them to answer his questions honestly.[break][break]
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] In all honesty, Julius doubted even the most professional of meteorologists can answer Oscar's question. There were a few that voiced their curiosities only to have global warming be an answer. While that was possible, the magus had a feeling that global warming should not be this drastic. And even with global warming, there should be some kind of warning but there was none. It was rather concerning to say the least but if it was only snow, it shouldn't be too bad. It would die down soon and it gave Oscar a view that not many would be able to experience.[break][break]
The prosecutor saw a tv that was turned on, the sound on mute but there were captions for those interested. It was turned on the news with people at the station seeming surprised by the sudden snow. Again, he was certain that something was wrong but he could not in good faith investigate right now. Not with Oscar here. What if it was a youma that might endanger the people in this tower? Just last month there was an attack on Emile just outside of this building. He would just have to stay on guard.[break][break]
Julius turned his attention back over to the brunette due to his question. He wasn't sure if it felt colder but..."there is...a fog..." so that was a sign. "We should...step away," he urged as he took a few steps, his eyes alert and constantly scanning his surrounding for any signs of a youma or corrupted. Just about anyone on this floor was now suspicious...even if the answer could also very well be none of them at all.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius heard Ayaka scream but he had stayed quiet more focused on getting out of the rubble before dispelling his shield. It was fortunate that his shield was not exactly very big and therefore can be somewhat hidden by the debris. Once they had gotten out, he saw the firewoman put the mask on the child's face. Ah..right...that...had never occurred to Julius. He had never given the child his mask and for a moment he was ready to offer Ayaka his own when she put on goggles? Well, that would certainly help her vision but that could not help her breathing. Before the prosecutor could open his mouth (or find the right words), the woman had given them three instructions.[break][break]
They were going to jump down the hole
Their eyes were going to be closed.
And trust her by taking her hand.
[break]
It was quite a strange set of instructions but Julius did not exactly have much of a choice. He gave a nod before gently nudging the child to take Ayaka's hand. He then took her hand as well, closed his eyes and waited for her to walk them off the ledge.[break][break]
How strange it was, just a moment ago Julius felt no fear in attempting to make a jump he did not believe he could do. Yet there had been no hesitation in his movement despite his doubt. Now, however, as he found himself falling, he can feel the fear. He couldn't place what it was though. Was it the fact that he was powerless? That it was not something he had a counterplan should it fail? Was it the lack of faith in Ayaka despite the fact that she had yet to fail him in their short time together? Or was it because there was a child whose sibling was begging to be saved at risk?[break][break]
Soon, Julius felt his feet on the ground, and Ayaka leading him away from something. Slowly, he opened his eyes to find that they were on the first floor...and walking out of the building. The child was quick to slip away from Ayaka and run to his sister.[break][break]
The prosecutor looked at the pair of siblings with relief coursing his system...until his brain went back to what had happened. One moment they were falling into the fire but...wait...in his fear...there had been no heat. The fire had not burned them and Julius knew that he had not used magic. So then...gray eyes turned over at the firewoman and grabbed her before she had moved away from him. "Come with me," he told her before all but dragging her away from the scene and hopefully where they can talk to each other quietly. He saw the look other people had given them and were quick to flash his license before continuing on his quest to find a quiet place for the two.[break][break]
Fortunately, there seemed to be one between two buildings. "Was that magic?" Julius asked letting go of the girl's hand and facing her, eyes narrowed. If so then..just what was she? If she saved a child, she was most likely not a corrupted...right?
