Chaos is known as the being that never became a star. It is everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time.
Neither good nor evil, the ultimate expression of nothingness. The antithesis of the cosmos, creation itself.
Although Chaos claims to be the very state of existence from which the first entities appeared, it cannot form into the entity it wants most.
So it has been cursed to stay in the form of a dark and shapeless void. Floating between existence and nonexistence.
Longingly watching as stars are constantly born and lives are lived. The seeds of malice had been planted, flourished and transformed Chaos into the purest form of evil.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] So this was indeed Wynter. Julius gave a nod as he examined the girl in front of him. His professor had given her the recommendation with a strange additional note on how her personality might flow well with Julius's own. he was unsure of what that was supposed to mean. Perhaps it was something he would pick up as this internship continues. Either way, he handed the girl his cup of hot chocolate in order to warm herself seeing as he could easily make some more. [break][break]
Noire was about to continue with the formalities when there was a sudden thumping in the hallway. Was it someone outside or a youma? Julius was unsure which one he wanted it to be. The male opened his mouth ready to tell her to wait when the girl had already started to backtrack her way towards the entrance. Julius merely followed behind to see a boy no older than sixteen on the floor. Gray eyes widened as he strode over and knelt down with the intern next to him.[break][break]
The prosecutor was the first to make a move checking for a pulse by placing his fingers on the veins of the boy's neck. "He's..alive..." there was a sense of relief despite the monotony in his tone. "close the door," he ordered before taking off his coat (his bod shivering in protest) and draping it over the boy's body. Just what was he doing outside in the cold? Didn't he know there was a snow storm right now? Where were his parents? Did they know he was here?[break][break]
Gently, Julius tried to shake the boy hoping he would wake up and be able to answer a few questions. He should also probably make some extra hot chocolate while he was at it. After the boy wakes, that is.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius gestured over to where the distortion was, 'that's..not alive," he argued. That wasn't alive. One can barely see them and their only communication were wailings, moans and possibly screeches. How could that be defined as alive by anyone? He needed to know who had caused them to linger to a decrepit building such a this. [break][break]
The prosecutor opted to not answer her question. She knew what the answer was, she saw it herself. Instead, he asked her who her contractor was. If she gave him an inquisitive look then he could also merely shrug that off. However, what had happened instead was Ava stepping closer to him and Julius leaning away from her. He didn't want to take a step back as it could be interpreted as a sign of weakness but at the same time, he was a man of personal space. She spoke on how it was rude to ask her such a question on the first date before asking the same from him.[break][break]
Hypocritical but also..."we're not..on a...date." Was this what the blue haired woman considered to be a date? It was honestly almost sad. Even Julius who was not socialized very well had been on better dates than this. When she leaned back, the prosecutor allowed himself to somewhat return to his standing position. That had been a mistake because the girl then poked him on the nose earning her a small blink and a blank stare. [break][break]
That was it? Rather simple really. "Io...evoker...I'm a...magi." He answered seeing no reason to hide such a thing. Even if she was normal, those words would mean nothing to her and should she try to speak of it, others would see her as insane. If she was a magi, contractor or a vessel, there would be no reason to hide such information from him once he had confessed to be ing a magi. If she was a corrupted, he never had any plans to spy on them or use deception. In other words, Julius had nothing to lose. "Your turn," he reminded his black eyed conversation partner.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Ava leaned in closer widening her smirk into a full-blown grin that can easily match the Chesire Cat's in Julius's opinion. Then she leaned back asking him what he was going to do, what he could do, and leaned onto her heels. He was unsure if he could actually hurt the ghost or youma. Actually, now that he doubted the ability to damage it, perhaps it was a spirit. Do magic work on ghosts? It could also very well be the fact that he didn't actually hit it. That would mean it could very well be a youma as well. It seems he wasn't truly able to confirm on either one.[break][break]
Before he can answer, or even decide if he should, a loud wail can be heard. Julius winced and took a few steps away from the source of the sound. Ava, on the other hand, had growled at the spirit (youma?) to shut up. There was the sound of a screech followed by a silence of the wailing.[break][break]
Could she speak to it? The blue haired female acknowledged the creature as a ghost and asked what he planned to do with it. "Find its victims and eliminate it," he spoke with the certainty he would bring into a court case. "Are you...an-" wait no...that wasn't it. She wasn't an exorcist because of this sensation. He was sure he felt it with other people before. Around the magician at the circus, Jayce, Merlin, and Yvette. This...this sensation..."who's...your contractor?" he decided to ask instead as he took the phone from her offered hand. It was from this angle, he was able to see the door was opened and not too damaged. Strange.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Silence from both the spirit and Ava..if she as even there. Actually, maybe she did leave. Good, that would leave him with some room. That would give him time at least. Gray eyes squinted once again trying to find the strange disruption that was similar to a heat wave within the room (rather ironic as the room was still getting colder) but to no avail. Was the ghost hiding? The room was still cold so clear it must still be here.[break][break]
Before he can fully figure out just where it was, there was the sound of a door opening. What? Turning around he saw a familiar blue haired figure. She walked over his phone with a calm that really should not exist, her eyes seeming to be looking at something. Julius turned to find that strange disruption again. The spirit! Or youma...again he was still very unsure. Whatever it was, Ava was able to find it with ease..how?[break][break]
It took Julius a moment to remember that he had given her an alias. Connor..right. "Who...what are you?" That was the better question. Gray eyes narrowed at her. He hadn't had the chance to look at the door yet to figure out how she had opened it but clearly, she shouldn't have been able to. There was that calm and the certainty she spoke with earlier and that smirk she was wearing now.[break][break]
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius can hear Ava's voice over the wails even if it was muffled by the door. She was asking for him but he had kept quiet and instead tried to focus on the youma or spirit (he still was not sure what it was). He needed to know what did it do with the people. Were there at least bodies to find in order to give their close ones closure? However, the wailing had only gotten louder and the prosecutor dropped his phone. Thankfully the screen was not cracked and Julius covered his ears.[break][break]
It was harder to hear Ava. He was able to hear her voice but he couldn't exactly make out the words. She was most likely worried about him. "Go!" he shouted hoping that would make her leave as his eyes darted around trying to find any hint of this mysterious entity. That was when he saw it...or something. It wasn't as if there was a form but there was something unnatural...almost like a wisp.[break][break]
Julius summoned his bow and shot at the wisp of smoke and there was a small moment of silence. The wisp didn't exactly take a form and instead had merely wrapped itself around his arrow. Gray eyes narrowed slightly thankful the wails were gone but also uncertain. He can only hope it would not come back with a vengeance. "Ava?" he asked before the spirit tried to lift the arrow. Julius merely dispelled the arrow before the ghost can throw it back at him.[break][break]
Did he even hurt it? More importantly..was Ava gone? He can only hope so for both.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] It dodged..even more, was that the dog had dodged with certainty. It didn't even truly bother to look at the other arrows coming at it as if it knew. How? Scent? Hearing? It must have been one of those two. Julius knew the images only influenced sight. That meant that it would be harder for Julius to aim at the one looking at him so perhaps...Julius readied to aim at the canine who focused its attention on his magician companion. When..they suddenly got close to one another? Gray eyes narrowed, curious as to what they were doing.[break][break]
Suddenly the one that Julius had been aiming but yet to shoot, bit into the one that had dodged the prosecutor's earlier arrow. What? The dark haired male opened his mouth in confusion...just what were they doing? The process continued the one being eaten always had its eye on them. The cannibal, once finished, grew bigger and soon had a second head. Can youma metamorphosize? [break][break]
The two-headed dog had its eyes on Julius and the male was ready to dodge. Yet, before his body could move out of the way, the creature had pinned him onto the floor. The male grunted at the pain from the applied pressure to his body. He couldn't exactly move or roll out of the way. One of the heads snapped its jaws at him but hadn't killed him yet. Was it playing with him?[break][break]
Footsteps..too light to belong to the giant canine. It had to be the magician. He saw the male jumped into the air and kicked the dog distracting it enough for Julius to roll away. He needed to make up for his earlier failure. The once again drew the shape of his bow and shot at one of the dog's eyes while he was still close. After taking that shot, Julius was quick to run away and gain some distance. Close quarter combat clearly was never his forte. A quick glance told him that the arrow had managed to at least scratch one of its eyes. The creature roared before shooting off a fire ball in Julius's direction.[break][break]
Julius took a running step before jumping and rolling away barely able to dodge the much bigger fireball. Unfortunately, the shockwave managed to knock him against the wall. Evidently, cannbalism has made the creature stronger, not that the prosecutor had doubted that before.
[attr="class","haltemptxt2"] CHARACTER NAME: julius vesper[break] ITEM(S) IN CART: C-class skills x 2 [2 d-clas skills upgarded to c-class skills][break] TOTAL: 500 x 2 = 1000[break] [break] [break][break] NAME: iustitia[break] CLASS: c[break] DESCRIPTION: A bow created by light manipulation through gathering and condensing visible light together. Julius is also able to create arrows from through the same method and send them at his target. Unlike a real arrow, the light arrows do not curve in their trajectory but rather shoots straight at the target. However, because it is created by light, they can be reflected by glass or anything that can bend light. They also grow weaker in places that are dark due to the lack of visible light. He is also incapable of using his weapon in complete darkness.[break][break]
Due to the training and experience, Julius has gained, he is able to shoot arrows faster and at a higher accuracy. However, he can still only shoot one arrow at a time. His magic having grown stronger has also made the arrow become more deadly and move faster than before. He can also now shoot while moving unlike before due to his experience.

NAME: praesidio[break] CLASS: c[break] DESCRIPTION: Using visible light, Julius can create up to two shields of light in front of a chosen target that can block and reflect attacks from two directions of his choice. Currently, the shields can block and reflect 1 B-Class ability, 2 C-Class abilities, or 4 D-Class abilities before dissipating.[break][break]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Magi? So she was a magi as well? Was she perhaps a magi of Io's then? One would think Io would be kind enough to inform his magis of each other but clearly, that was not the case. Then she continued on never answering his question. This...might lead to a new experiment of his power, most people did not get distracted. They often tried to stall but the lasso tightened. Was it because she did not answer the question or was it because she was lying. If it was the latter then why? Was she corrupted then? That was a possibility and if so then Julius will have to try his best to eliminate her somehow. He doubted jail can really keep a magical being inside for too long.[break][break]
Before Julius could once again remind her of the question, the girl (it was much easier to tell without that mask) tackled him to the wall. The sudden movement and pain breaking his concentration and therefore the lasso was gone. The male grunted making a mental note that if he was going to be a good magi, he truly needed to learn how to fight. The girl writhed on the floor but Julius merely stared at her blankly. He knew that it was no longer from the [break][break]
He could cast it on her again but he had already lost the element of surprise. She also seemed tired and again the words 'magi too' had come but now she was accusing him of being a corrupted? Gray eyes narrowed at the rather offensive statement. "Magi," he answered, "now..who...did you...make a contract with?" he repeated the question once again, his voice colder than before if only because of accusation.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius caught the small reddening of Noel's cheeks...was she cold in the tower? It was a possibility with the sudden snow outside. However, the building's heater had started. Perhaps she was sick and pushing herself then? Should he suggest for her to go home and rest? It might take her out of danger before anything happens. Nonetheless, the two shook hands in a cordial manner. [break][break]
The two-toned haired male asked Noel to see if she had been with anyone. The girl had placed her hand on her hips and accused him of trying to get rid of her. Something that he wasn't exactly sure if it was true or not. He simply wanted the two to be away from here at the moment. Yet, there was also something in her question that startled the prosecutor and widened his eyes,[break][break]
Tennant and friend.[break][break]
Was...was that what they were? It wasn't as if the thought hadn't crossed the prosecutor's mind before. In fact, it was something that he had been playing around with in his head but were they really friends? It was hard to tell when one has crossed the threshold of acquaintanceship and into friendship. Slowly, Julius turned his attention back over to the other male in the group. It would be a weird question to ask, as the prosecutor remembered the first time he had been surprised his friends called him as such. Yet, one should always be certain, right?[break][break]
The three had all agreed that the snow was certainly picking up and Julius was ready to once again suggest leaving when Noel had spoken. It seemed they were in agreement with one another, good. Having someone on his side will hopefully convince his tenant (and friend?). Noel would also most likely have more knowledge of the layout of the area. When Oscar had agreed, there was a rush of relief, all three of them were in congruence with one another. The prosecutor gestured for Oscar to go in front of him as usual which was when he heard the voice. In truth, Julius had heard the sound of footsteps approaching from behind him but had thought nothing of it. There were many people around them and so movement was not exactly out of the norm. However, the words certainly stood out.[break][break]
"The youma are coming Magi, are you prepared to protect these people?"[break][break]
Grey eyes widened at the declaration spoken in a whisper as Julius's body stiffened up. Youma...they were...they were coming and Julius scanned the area. The building was not exactly packed but there were six other groups of two to four people around them for a total of twenty people. Not enough to cause a stampede but with youma involved, someone could fall behind and get hurt or killed. He could try to gather more people into one place but he needed to know where the youma are to make sure it was safe.[break][break]
Oscar's voice called out to Julius pulling him away from his thoughts. They..they really should go but- the lights cut off. It was momentary before the backup power came on but who knows how long that would last. Hopefully, an employee would soon run up the stairs to lead the group somewhere safe. The prosecutor placed his hands in the pocket of his jacket as he clenched them in frustration. There were too many questions. Was the snow storm caused by a youma? Was there to be another invasion? How many people were out there? How were the magical beings he knew doing? Were they in danger as well? Who was this mysterious man? Where would be a safe place to evacuate the people? Where would the youma come from?[break][break]
The lights also had a few groups worried as well as the strange weather phenomenon. If only they knew that danger might be coming into the room or...gray eyes glanced over at the tall mysterious man. It might already be here. [break][break]
"Everyone!" Julius called out taking a few steps and raising his voice so those in the room can hear him before pulling out his license to catch their attention, "I am prosecutor Vesper. I need everyone to remain calm and go to the luxury room over there," The two-toned haired male pointed over to the supposedly hidden luxury room. It was something of an easter egg (a term Julius could not fully understand) in the building and it was a good place to use for now. The room was smaller than a circular tower and it should be able to fit twenty people from what he read about it. "This is nothing more than a power outage but the staff believes it would be best to stay in the luxury room in case it gets colder due to the storm. So everyone, please head into the room in a calm and orderly fashion." There were no youma so no reason to panic and Julius can see people slowly heading into that room. The room was in a large square with windows that may be concerning should a youma come from the outside. If that was the case, Julius could always summon a barrier to stall prevent the cold as he evacuates everyone out of the room. If the youma were inside the building (which would have unfortunate implications) Julius would be at the door ready to leave and create a barrier to prevent others from leaving the room.[break][break]
This was the best he could do with what information he had. Gray eyes watched as the people headed to the room looking confused buy listening nonetheless even if Julius did not actually have the jurisdiction to order them to do as such. It was fortunate that many people actually look at the specifics of the law sometimes. Turning his attention back to the two familiar companions, he gestured to the door "after...you two..." he stated seeming to take a step back to allow Oscar to slightly turn his chair but also to be closer to the mysterious male.[break][break]
"Where?" he asked trying to keep his voice low (which isn't very hard) but also still audible to this mysterious person (which was the bigger challenge between the two feats). Gray eyes however, were turned towards the door waiting. If there was to be a youma in there waiting, Julius would erect his barrier between the man opening the door and the youma. Once again..if there was something in there.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius merely blinked as Merlin was indeed correct. While he knew that Merlin had compared them earlier, he did not understand how Merlin can see such comparisons. Outside of their ability to use magic and apparently their curiosity, the two were different from one another. Merlin was known for having charisma, was actually social, a leader, a mentor and an advisor. Julius could not do any of those things for his life. [break][break]
The point of view that was more human, a trait Julius almost wanted to say any other magi could do. Yet, Merlin may not have known them. He wondered if he should just point Merlin in their direction instead. But as Merlin have pointed out, danger could approach Jayce at any time. Did Merlin truly have any time to choose? No..not really. Not with danger always on the horizon. And Julius understood that, the sooner the better. Ah, perhaps the sorcerer was desperate, that was almost understandable.[break][break]
However, there was also the fear that Julius may make Jayce wish to push magic away even more. If the boy closed himself off then he would be unable to protect himself or those around him. Yet, to know that someone believed in him wholeheartedly. The last time he felt that was from Alex and even then as much as he loved his brother, he couldn't say the older Vesper understood entirely the work it took to become a prosecutor. There was also the fact that he was family and may have only believed in Julius because of their blood ties. Still, it had motivated the magus back. Merlin, however, was a stranger who had no reason. For him to actually believe in Julius...it did make him want to step up and not disappoint the man. The fact that he had been someone Julius knew about from books and had always been amazed only fueled such desires.[break][break]
Yet that also meant disappointing Merlin was equally worrying. An orb of light was created in Merlin's cupped hands and the sorcerer smiled down at his creation. Julius stared at the orb feeling something about it but he was unsure as to what. Wordlessly, the prosecutor obliged and drew the orb into himself. It felt..warm...warm and something else. Something Julius could not exactly name and if he had any doubts about Merlin's existence before, it was certainly cleared away now. [break][break]
The magi gave a small nod before summoning his bow and for a strange moment, it felt easier than before. Was it possibly because of the lighting? The male drew back forming his usual arrow and took a calming breath before letting the arrow go aiming for the tree. While the arrow did not completely break the tree it dug deeper, deeper than expected. Gray eyes widened at the sight before he turned over to Merlin.[break][break]
"Is..this you?' but even if it was Merlin..that had been Julius's power. Assuming Merlin had somehow transferred his energy or gift something to Julius..he had been able to harness it. If...if this was something that can be done, then he can keep Jayce safe while also training him.[break][break]
"Should I...talk to him now...or later?" the prosecutor asked agreeing to Merlin's offer. The danger to Jayce lessened and...if Julius was capable of this then...maybe he could actually protect Jayce as he motivates him.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius arched a brow, it was better to quit and not do any damage then to continue and hinder the efforts of actual good people if one asked Julius. After all, the neutral number zero was much better than any negative. Yet the other could not see it if only because he was too closed-minded to see anything but his own efforts. It also made the prosecutor wondered if he failed to enter the proper law program that took much more time or if the other had simply not chosen to even try. In truth, Julius was not sure of Sandrine's capabilities. Whatever they were, the prosecutor refused to lose to him once he becomes a defense attorney, should he truly stick to this path. In other words, he wasn't doing this out of fear. It was for Sandrine and New Paris's own good. The fewer defense lawyers there were, the better.[break][break]
"Their lessons are a hindrance," Julius spoke with certainty and no pause in his speech, similar to how he actually spoke in court. His fists tightening and he can feel his nails upon his skin, "if you actually want to help people, you would become a prosecutor and help the actual victims rather than try to destroy their character or gain sympathy from the jury. Should you be unable to actually get into the program, police programs are also a choice or even a firefighter." Honestly, just about any other legal jobs would be better than a defense attorney. Julius can still remember the number of times he had seen them try to tear apart his own clients or their witnesses. He understood how the system worked in theory but reality was far different from that. Despite what Maurice might try to tell him, how despite the fact that defense attorneys was on the opposition, they weren't completely. There was a reason why France and many other countries had an inquisitive system. They were meant to find the truth similar to how one can find a middle ground in a debate.[break][break]
Julius truly respected Maurice but he was simply wrong. Not everyone can be perfect and there were areas that Maurice clearly lacked.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Before Oscar could agree or disagree with Julius's suggestion, a new but familiar voice called out to the two. Julius turned to face the newcomer: Noel de Masséur, a figure he had not seen in quite some time. The last time he saw her had been before Halloween and a part of him was surprised to run into here. Not to say that she did not belong in this tower, in fact, she most likely came here often for parties or to meet with clients from what he knew about her.[break][break]
The girl spread out her arms enjoying the scenery and truly if Julius had not learned of magic, he might enjoy it as well. He might have taken it as a small sign of a miracle but he couldn't enjoy such strange phenomenon anymore. Not when there was a possibility of someone getting hurt. Her breath can be seen as she spoke the next words so softly but due to their close distance, the prosecutor was able to hear it. He gave her a nod, "you look...well..." he stated. She seemed to be of health and her outfit was as lovely as he remembered...not that he was well versed in fashion by any stretch of the imagination. [break][break]
The prosecutor was prepared to introduce Oscar and Noel to each other when the girl had caught sight of him and asked if they had met before. Had they? Apparently, they hadn't. Julius supposed Noel might have mistaken him for someone else then. And his fellow tenant had chosen to stay. Julius knew he could not leave the two in good conscience as there was a possibility that a youma or corrupted could show up. Before Julius could properly introduce the two (and figure out what options he had), there were complaints of the tv cutting out. Fortunately, there was no blackout but it was still worrisome nonetheless. [break][break]
At Oscar's words, gray eyes went to look at the window to see the snow was certainly picking up. Even if they take the elevator, it would still take time and...just what should he do? What could he even do? He gave a small nod hoping that would be of some concern to Oscar. A sign that something was wrong and maybe they should leave, now when there was still time. Yet, he couldn't exactly leave Noel either.[break][break]
"Oscar...meet Madame Noel...I met her...at a party..." Julius opted to keep it vague if only because he understood that Noel did not appreciate people knowing of her family and the power they carry. He planned to respect that to the best of his ability. "Madame Noel...Oscar...he's a...fellow tennant...of mine." he stated gesturing between them during the introduction. Then he looked over at the girl, "did you..come here..with anyone?" he asked somewhat curious. He wasn't sure what answer he was even hoping for at the moment.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Gray eyes widen at Merlin's request. Take Jayce under his wings? But what can Julius offer him? Julius who was still trying to figure out this world of magic that he only knew for a few months. Jayce, even if he did not want to, probably had more knowledge of magic from his interaction with Merlin. It would only make sense in the magus's mind anyway. So what was there for Jayce to gain? Certainly, nothing. Yet, Merlin continued and his words somewhat alleviated Julius's worries. After all, his job was not to actually teach the boy as much as just encourage him to learn his powers. In other words, Merlin would still be the real mentor, Julius would be nothing more than someone to nudge the boy along the way.[break][break]
And in return, the wizard would train Julius in the art of magic. Merlin whose magic was already innate, it made Julius wonder if their magic was similar to one another. Yet, he should take advantage of this. Even if it was different, he could use this information to help other vessels should he find them. Even more was the benefits Jayce would gain. Julius was unsure how he felt about putting pressure on a seventeen year old boy. In truth, if it was possible, Julius would like to avoid such a scenario. He was too young to endanger his life for others. Unfortunately, he doubted chaos would feel the same and would have no qualms in hurting him. In other words, he was already in danger from the moment Merlin awakened in his soul. And...if something was to happen to Julius...knowing that there were other people should Julius die in battle to protect people in the future was reassuring. There were immediate benefits and also future benefits to this.[break][break]
Yet despite that, Julius still found himself hesitant, unsure if he was truly up to the task. He wasn't exactly the most social person in the world but...he should at least try right? There was not anything to lose in this situation..for him. But...what if..."why me?" the prosecutor asked after a long moment of contemplation. "I..am honored..but..why me?" Just what did Merlin even see in him? More importantly, "if...if I mess up...it might..make Jayce...even more...aversed...to magic," and he did not want to risk that.[break][break]
Surely there must be someone better out there.
notes: when you really wanna take the deal but have 0 self-confidence.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] The moans...it won't stop but there didn't seem to be anything there. No lurkng figures, no eyes but yet everything was telling Julius that there were at least three people in this very room. Possibly even more. Youma? This had to be a youma or a spirit. Spirit youma? It didn't matter...it needed to be rid of. Making sure, Julius asked his companion if she heard the moans while his eyes watched to see if any chill ran her spine. The room was getting colder but neither of them shivered due to their outerwear. Ava didn't look affected at all taking a moment possibly to try to listen in on something only to say that she didn't.[break][break]
But something was here.[break][break]
And if Ava couldn't sense it then...Julius hurried walked up the stairs to where the girl was holding the door. A pale hand reached out and pushed her out before slamming the door shut. Just to make sure, Julius took out his phone emitting light into the dark room before locking the door.[break][break]
Whatever this was that was causing the room to get colder was here and Julius couldn't endanger Ava. However, with what little light head, Julius was unsure if he can truly fight. "Where...are they?" he asked almost feeling foolish for talking to what seemed to be thin air. The only thing he heard in return was a wail that grew to make the prosecutor drop his phone to ensure there would still be a light source and cover his ears.[break][break]
note: so that happened. tell me if you want and edits.

[attr="class","nologicpost1"] The storm had not made things easy today and Julius honestly could only sigh. There were a few who could not go to work because they lived in a different adornment and traffic due to the storm was too great or the distance was too far. Those who could though did go which resulted to only about three prosecutors and a few interns. Julius noted that he didn't see Sei but today wasn't his day to show up. He can only hope the boy was doing alright and keeping himself safe and warm. As Julius looked through the files, he had his computer on to listen to the news. There was a warning to not go outside due to the storm, one that appeared out of nowhere seeing as this was not only New Paris but also November.[break][break]
Hopefully, this would at least deter crime and Julius can push a few court cases in the meantime. A few of his hearings though had been pushed back for obvious reasons and the prosecutor had sent out e-mails to apologize to the victims because of it. Most had yet to reply but those who did seemed to be understanding at least.[break][break]
The male shivered despite his black collared shirt, white jacket and then an additional black coat. His hands were covered in black gloves and he wore long black pants but yet, he still felt the cold. This weather was honestly just abysmal. A sigh parted from his lips before Julius stood up and walked out of his office room and into the break room in order to get some hot chocolate. He needed something to warm up. As he prepared the instant hot chocolate, gray eyes glanced over at the office Marucie would usually occupy which was cleverly placed across from the break room. Julius hoped his mentor was doing alright as well, he should send him a text later to make sure.[break][break]
When Julius head back to his office, right at the door with her back turned towards him was a girl with pink-haired tied back in a ponytail. Gray eyes narrowed not so much in anger at the girl as much as at her professor for sending her out during this snowstorm. Julius had offered to take interns for his office if only because he understood the need for experience. Most of the ones he took were students of his former professors who he respected as well but to hear that one of them had sent her here. Hopefully, such a thing was done before the storm, "that...would be...me." he announced behind her.[break][break]
"Are you..." Gray eyes became distant as its owner tried to recall the name, "Madame Wynter?" Yes, that was it right? He was sure that was in the letter of recommendation to Julius. Then remember that the girl must have walked over to the building, Julius held the unsipped hot chocolate in front of her in silent offering.
