Chaos is known as the being that never became a star. It is everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time.
Neither good nor evil, the ultimate expression of nothingness. The antithesis of the cosmos, creation itself.
Although Chaos claims to be the very state of existence from which the first entities appeared, it cannot form into the entity it wants most.
So it has been cursed to stay in the form of a dark and shapeless void. Floating between existence and nonexistence.
Longingly watching as stars are constantly born and lives are lived. The seeds of malice had been planted, flourished and transformed Chaos into the purest form of evil.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]Julius wondered if there was going to be some research about how citizens of New Paris will view snow after this was over. He knew that for himself, he was starting to fall away from fascination to annoyance. This storm was certainly a hindrance to just about everything. It made it harder to travel from location to location. Honestly, Julius almost wondered if he could just make a wish to another evoker to just end this snow. There were certainly some who had become accustomed to it...something Julius could understand but that did not stop the irritation.[break][break]
The male entered the library and his body welcomed the warmth that it provided. In fact, he had closed the door as quickly as he can without slamming it before approaching the front desk. it seemed Karin was working here today and not the cafe. "Excuse me," he started once he was at the front desk, "I...do...do you have...any...self-help...boosk...for...mentoring...or...teaching?" It seemed that with two interns under his wings and a mentee of sorts (he was unsure of how to categorize Jayce) it was imperative that Julius learned how to teach people.[break][break]
Years ago, Julius would have never seen himself in such a position.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]Julius gave a nod confirming to Noel his answer. Almost everyone he had met was due to his job as a prosecutor or magi. He met those with magic and interacted with them because of their common role as magic users sans corrupteds. He had also met people like his clients, witnesses, those who support the clients, co-workers, and interns. Even Oscar who was a fellow tenant, Julius would not have met if he did not have a dire need to have his laptop fixed in order to work on certain cases or do research at home. There was Alex who Julius had met because of their familial ties, and the only one he can count on to be there regardless of what happens to him. Even the kind police officer who took him in, he only saw out of obligation and in all honesty, he was hardpressed to say if he ever felt any form of bond with the man. [break][break]
There was a small gasp from the girl which earned her a raised brow. Did not many people compliment her? Strange, one would think that she would have heard people remark on how impressive she was to attend to these parties and managing a business by herself. And perhaps it was due to their close proximity, and Julius saw the way her cheeks flushed. The male stopped midstep slightly tightening his hold on her in order to steady her should she need it.[break][break]
"It's..not..in...a good...way." Julius understood his oddities and how it can cause other people to view him. it was strange really, how different he spoke in court compared to social situations. He never understood how he can speak so well in one setting but not the other. Perhaps it was a caution but even then sometimes he wondered if that was such an adequate answer. "Also...are...you...arlgith?" he asked slipping his hand from hers and using the back of his right hand to touch her forehead. "Are...you sick?" there was a snowstorm after all and if one was not careful they could become sick. That was the last thing he would want for the girl.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]Julius played the song on his phone, which might not exactly be very classical. No, not when he tended to listen to alternative, thankfully it was a lighter one. Hearing Noel commenting on it positively had the male arched a brow. He had not thought it was something he would like and he was almost tempted to ask what music she listened to. However, before he can gather the words, Noel had taken his hand and led him into a dance. Once again, he found himself being guided by her just like during their first dance. Don't be so stiff, just move along with her like a current, just try not to think too much. The first minute, gray eyes would often find themselves looking at the ground but soon, he started to look at his dancing partner instead. It wasn't as if he didn't keep track, but he merely kept track through his sense of touch rather than sight.[break][break]
The movement became faster but also gentler and the male had done his best to keep up. Then came her sudden comment that made the prosecutor arch a brow. If Marcus or really anyone was here, Julius was sure that they would laugh at Noel's comment. Julius getting around as in knowing people? "No," he corrected her, "I'm not...socially...active." Which he had always thought was obvious with the way he talked. The slowness of his tongue had always felt indicative. "Most..I know...are...from work." Whether it were people he was temporarily involved with due to cases or talked to due to his magi duty. Nonetheless, Julius hardly considered someone with connections. He never felt as if he was truly ever connected to anyone outside of Alex. Then again...there was Oscar. Oscar who he had felt closer recently but...was it a form of connection or was it merely temporary. Perhaps their bond, if such a thing truly existed between them, was only temporary until Oscar meet other people. Although, it wasn't anything Julius would mind. He knew about his own lack of people skills and there were people out there who were probably better suited to be Oscar's friends. The same way Julius was sure that one day Noel would feel connected to someone else as well. Someone who could truly form a connection with her and help her. Someone who wouldn't make her tear up or at least knew what to do should she be sad.[break][break]
"There's...nothing...to be...impressed about." he confessed going along with her movement or somewhat lack thereof. They merely moved back and forth, almost like stilled water. "Unlike you." Because really, when one took Noel's age (judging by her appearance) she truly was an amazing girl. She had a presence that commanded attention.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]Noel admitted to not understanding and how could she? Unless she knew about magic and that Julus had it, there was no way for her to truly understand. And yet..it felt strange. Julius had always felt a disconnection between him and the people around him. He had always been different from them but it had always been a fault of his own character. He couldn't understand certain social cues due to how withdrawn he had been after the discovery of his parent's death and the starting distrust he held with those around him. He did not interact with other people nor did he ever truly learn how to emote as others did simply because he did not wish to bother people. Sometimes he did wonder if he was truly human, psychologically that is. Physically he was obviously human. But...this disconnection was not the same. No, it felt as if he lived in an entirely different yet overlapping world. A world of magic that Noel could not - should not - understand. A world that he did his best to hide knowing that there would be people who find it unfair that only certain people may have their wish granted or worse...if certain people would look for any creature that can grant them powers. Julius understood that there exist a group of people who abuse their power, it was why crime bosses exist. It was why he could never truly tell anyone about the world he lived in now, not even Noel. And yet, perhaps it was because the two worlds had never truly crossed, Julius never realized that there was a new level of disconnection now. He could never tell Noel the truth, he could never let her into this world. It felt strange, this unsettling feeling.[break][break]
"A...an acquaintance..of my boss." It wasn't a lie, at least if one was to treat a lie as directly feeding false information. It was not false. Both Io and that man were people who fought against youmas, they were most likely acquaintances. And well, Io was in a sense Julius's boss because being a magi was technically a job, a job where the payment was already paid in advance.[break][break]
The sound of heels clicked against the floor as Noel crossed over what distance that was between them and offered her hand. Gray eyes looked at smooth hand (fitting for someone of her class) as she asked if he wanted to dance. "I'm...out of..practice," the male confessed. The last time he had danced was with Noel, which should be to no one's surprise. Julius hardly attended parties let alone high class ones. "There..is also...no music," unless one counted the muffled music that somewhat filtered through the door. Then again...the prosecutor reached into his pocket in order to fish out his phone. He supposed they could always use their phone to play a song. So that only left the first problem...his lack of skills in the art of dancing. "Are you...alright...that I...might step..on you?" Not that he did last time but the fear was always there in the back of his head. The last thing he wanted was to step on someone.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] When Julius was poked by Yvette, the child lightly hit the hand away with a giggle. The older girl was certainly better with children than he was...then again just about anyone probably would be. He shook his head, "no...there's...no problem...with this...arrangement." He supposed he should simply wait until it was over so he can talk to the raven haired girl about Halloween. He was quite sure that they both had questions.[break][break]
At Julie's rather bold (and accurate) declaration, Yvette had thankfully stepped in stating that they didn't run into each other at the party but rather outside of the party. She then described what outfits he was wearing before modeling a pose and twirling. Julie was quick to clap obviously quite enjoying the show. Julius on the other hand...can only stare. There were a few passersby who stayed at her as well but continued to walk forward when they noticed there was a child. Gray eyes continued to reflect the magical girl in front of him as she talked, his mind somewhat focused on her words but also still reflecting on what he had just seen. How exactly was he the funny one when Yvette had pulled off such a childish move?[break][break]
Julius will never understand social convention.[break][break]
Whatever, Yvette had said (something about a band, Julius helping out Emile with her outfit and bullies) had obviously won over Julie who gave a nod. However, the child still looked over at the prosecutor most likely mimicking the older girl.[break][break]
Julius merely gave a nod...feeling almost strange lying to a child in such a way. Still, the alternative was telling her about magic and the danger she unknowingly lived in...it was obvious what was the better choice. "I'm..glad..you're..okay. You seem..full...of energy." he stated with a small nod.[break][break]
"That's because she's fun!" The prosecutor tilted his head at Julie's answer. Was that why? Whatever the reason was, like most children, her attention was taken away by the more lively Yvette. Such a thing suited Julius who had merely kept quiet at times listening in on their conversation and other times taking out his phone to type down some notes to himself or look at his schedule.[break][break]
"Mommy!" the sudden cry had startled Julius who had almost jumped from the bench but thankfully managed to hold himself back. Gray eyes saw Julie quickly running over and grabbing the woman by the hand. The woman who had thanked Yvette and Julius for looking after her child even though the latter had not done anything. Once the two were out of sight, Julius stood up.[break][break]
"Lets talk...in my...apartment." Becuase he knew for certain they would have privacy there. "Have you...eaten...anything..yet?" he couldn't help but ask. If not..then...they might have to go pick up something to eat on the way. He doubted giving microwave food to guests was a very courteous thing to do. "I'll pay," he offered holding his phone out. If she had already eaten though, well that would make things easier and they could just head back to his apartment. He will merely not eat until they were done talking.
note: give me the address and some money and maybe something gets caught on fire.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]Again came that strange chuckle, Julius will never understand what one finds amusing. Or well, amusing enough to cause such a reaction. Then again, maybe that was just because he was not one to feel very strong emotions in the first place. What was normal for others were honestly very foreign for him. So pressing on, Julius had asked Ayaka if she used her power often. How adept was she in them? The prosecutor had used his powers multiple times, not only when fighting youmas but also during interrogations.[break][break]
The firefighter agreed to tell him if he, in turn, told her if this was how he 'picked up girls'. Physically? He supposed seeing as that was how she was being carried at the moment, or rather using him as support. If she meant metaphorically as in entering romantic or sexual relationships..."I don't..pick up..girls." he never really liked the phrasing either. It always sounded like girls were something to be picked up from the shelf or the ground, as if they were some kind of item. Then again, perhaps he was thinking too much on the phrasing. After all, he had seen good people use such phrasings before. It could very well be harmless for all he knew, which unfortunately, was not much.[break][break]
"My apologies...I..didn't mean..to be...aggressive." Was that aggressive? Julius simply wanted his questions answered without other people possibly discovering magic. Interrogations was also usually better done in a private setting. However, it seems that his actions had been aggressive. Should he have tried a different method instead? What should he have done though? "What...would...you have...liked me...to do?" he asked tilting his head to get a better look at Ayaka while still somewhat paying attention to their surrounding. If she had any advice, he would be more than willing to hear them. "As for...the lasso...it...it assures me...what you speak..is the truth." Because Julius did understand that people can lie as much as he wanted to trust others, people have lied to him time and again. Even then though, it was not something he used often. Not unless he had reasons to be suspicious.[break][break]
Boost of speed and agility. Wait...oh...was that how Ayaka had made that jump? She had been using her ability so casually as if it was just a part of her that Julius had never considered it. Then again, perhaps her powers were merely passive in nature as opposed to Julius's own. At her question, gray eyes moved back to look at what was in front of them. "It..." he gave a pause unsure of how to phrase it. "It..felt like..falling." And honestly...it was almost frightening to feel such powerlessness. "I..didn't..like it...sorry. It's..not your power...I just...I didn't...like...feeling...powerless."
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]By the way, Noel looked at him, it didn't seem as if his questions were helping her...nor himself. The girl seemed to be expressing something but what that something was, Julius could not name. Soon the only conclusion Julius could come up with was the fact that she was mad he had taken her away from her friend. He had interrupted them after all and had been willing to offer to simply leave. If he was in the way, then he could very well excuse himself. Yet, that was not it either, she had barely known the person (despite how close they seemed to be) and had asked him to stay only to retract the request.[break][break]
Just what did she want?[break][break]
The prosecutor was pushed to the side, his body following the force allowing Noel to head toward the door and open the doorknob. However, instead of opening it...it...well it broke. The time was then thrown away and Noel's frustration was rather evident but instead of taking her anger out on more inanimate objects, tears had leaked from the girl's eyes. [break][break]
And Julius almost wished he had left earlier as he was clearly not equipped for such a situation. The male blankly stared at her as she stated how he had her full attention just as he had wanted. Had he wanted that? He did not mind interacting with Noel despite how they did not do it very often. Yet, he had been genuinely happy to see her with someone that he thought had been her friend. However, if that was the case, why did Julius not simply stay and had thought about telling her that he was leaving? It was not as if anyone would approach him and he could have enjoyed the meal. The male bit his lips unsure of how accurate or inaccurate her statement was. Then again, now was not exactly the time to examine himself.[break][break]
Julius approached the tray that held the glasses of wine and took the cloth from underneath the glass. Slowly, he approached Noel and handed her the cloth to wipe her eyes with. "I..don't have...a bodyguard," the prosecutor informed her, "and..Oscar is..a computer...repairman. He..fixes computers...and looks...into...programs." In truth, Julius never fully understood Oscar's job and this was the best he can describe it. "I...I don't know...what you are...looking for." But since they were here together, Julius supposed this gave him the time to figure it out and perhaps time for Noel to find the right words as well. He can wait, it wasn't as if he had anything else to do anyway.[break][break]
"Noel...I have..never lied...to you," the male assured the girl. He was sure of it. Did he have secrets? Yes, but Julius had never lied to the girl or really anyone. He wasn't a criminal that needed to use deception. "Is...is this why...you were...dancing...with...someone...you didn't...even know?" If so then it was almost disappointing. Julius had honestly thought Noel had made a friend or found an old one. The girl was still lonely and now thanks to him, she wasn't exactly going out to meet anyone new.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]What did Julius mean by need? The male arched a brow unsure of how to answer that question. Fortunately, Noel had clarified the question by stating why would he leave. Well...the male bit his lips stilling this tongue as his mind searched for the words. However, the girl had continued on not waiting for him stating that he had hired a bodyguard. HIm...hired...a bodyguard? Gray eyes squinted at the statement unsure of what she meant. When had he ever hired a bodyguard? Where would he even get the money? While being a prosecutor certainly paid well, it did not pay that well. The girl took a step but she wasn't close enough for Julius to feel the need to take a step back. Gray eyes locking into amber ones as she asked why he lied to her.[break][break]
"About what?" he couldn't help but ask, his brows furrowed, "I...don't recall...lying to..you...or...having a...bodyguard." Had she mistaken him for someone else? A bit unlikely. Julius doubted many people have white highlights in their hair as he did. "What...did I...say...exactly?" Perhaps there was a misunderstanding somewhere? "Are...you mad...I took you...from...your friend?" Julius asked, "if so...then...I can just...leave." He had no plans to stay if Noel did not want him to. She was the only one he knew in this party after all.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]Julius noticed how Noel's dancing partner had stared at him but he kept his eyes trained on the girl in question. After all, it was her choice to talk to him or not and she had decided to talk to him. The prosecutor followed her away from the dance floor and into a room that was not as well decorated but still more than what he can afford. There were also some glasses of wine which made Julius wondered if someone had already been here. Hopefully, they would not come back...but then again would it matter? He had planned to keep the conversation short anyway.[break][break]
For a moment as the two stood in the room, the only sound that could be heard was the crackling of fire. Julius merely stood still, his eyes looking at the wall as if the right words were written on it. If such a thing did exist on the walls, he had failed in finding it. This was made even more evident when Noel monosyllable word. [break][break]
"You...seemed to be...enjoying yourself," Julius stated his observation with a small nod, "that's good." It was good to know that she did have some friends within her social circle. "I...do you...need me...here?" he asked slightly tilting his head to the side to look at the girl from a better angle. "You...already seemed...to have...found someone." So she wasn't alone, which was good. That would mean that she would not go out to the balcony alone like that night where he had properly talked to her. "Should...I leave?"
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]As Noel walked inside, gray eyes trailed after her and the dress she was in. Green truly was a good color on her and as always the girl was well dressed. Julius had essentially worn the same suit he wore when they had run into each other in the last party, brooch included. Maybe he should have tried harder to match her, having a green tie instead of a black one might have helped. He heard about people coordinating their outfits together after all.[break][break]
Either way, he followed her inside and made sure to have closed the door behind him. The party looked different from the usual Christmas parties Julius was used to. For one, it was not even Christmas yet although it certainly was the month of Christmas. There was also the decorations, back when he had lived with his family friend, the man had decorated the house but it was not to this extent. Alex and Julius had not decorated anywhere near this level when they had moved out either. It was quite something to look at. [break][break]
It was Noel's clearing of the throat that had brought Julius away from the decoration and towards the girl instead. He was about to open his mouth to tell her that he had not done anything noteworthy, which was quite true. While Julius had yet to have lost a case, it was also only because he had not done any major cases either. Yet, what caught his eye was the girl held her head up and he could not help but wonder if it hurt her neck to be held in such a way. Before he can find the right way to ask such a question, she had quickly dismissed herself for food.[break][break]
The prosecutor can only look at her retreating back in confusion. If...if she was going to get some food, he supposed he should get them a table then. Which was exactly what Julius did, he found an empty table and had sat down. A passing waiter had come by and he took a glass of water from the man with a nod of gratitude. Yet, Noel never once approached him and had instead stood there and eaten something she had picked up from the table. Strange...it could not have been comfortable standing and eating like that. Had she not seen him? Julius stood up ready to approach her when the girl had grabbed onto another male and pulled him onto the dance floor.[break][break]
Gray eyes looked at the two as the male tilted his head in confusion. Julius had assumed Noel had invited him because she had wanted someone who did not care for her position to be spend time with her. Yet, it seemed that Noel had already found someone. So..what was Julius supposed to do? The male decided to sit back down in the chair and looked around to find any familiar faces. It did not surprise him to not find any. Head rested on his palm, Julius went back to looking at Noel and noting how she seemed to be dancing well enough with the other. She had also seemed to be the one to initiated the dance, which meant that it wasn't someone after her due to her position. Perhaps she had spotted an unexpected friend? That was good for her.[break][break]
Even if it did mean that Julius lost a reason to be here. After all, he was not exactly here to make any connections, this was not exactly a party for him. If he stayed..it might be a waste of time. Perhaps...slowly the prosecutor pushed himself up and approached them just as the second song ended. Gently he tapped on Noel's shoulder, "please...excuse us." Julius pardoned himself and Noel before trying to take her wrist in hopes of taking her away from the dance floor to ask some questions.[break][break]
The male honestly happy for her but he had wanted to make sure of a few things before he left.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]It was strange getting an invitation to an event from the upper echleon of society. Julius still did not have the fame or prestige for anyone from such social circles to notice him. In fact, he was sure that there was only one and that had been a pure fluke more than anything. Which was why it shouldn't have been a surprise (no matter how strange it was) that the invitation had come from her: Noel de Masséur. What was actually stranger was that despite the snowstorm, this event was still taking place. Perhaps, New Paris had simply gotten used to it..for the better or worse.[break][break]
The prosecutor stepped out of the taxi after paying for his ride along with the tip to see the girl that had invited him. He gave a small nod before walking over to the door and opening it for her, "thank you...for inviting me," it was the least he could say even though he was unsure as to why she invited him. Julius hardly made good company with how quiet he was and he doubted she could really show him off to anyone. Nonetheless, he had agreed anyway if only because he did not have much to do. He was free today and had not found any good enough leads to the possible cause of the storm.[break][break]
At least this way, if someone was to happen, he would be here and ready to help rather than stsaying in his apartment.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"]Julius arched a brow at the response. Not as much help as he needed? Well then, he supposed that meant Ayaka did not need any help at all. After all, the prosecutor had made it out of the building rather fine. His body was also able to handle the tackle well enough that he wasn't exactly bleeding or anything. Then came the statement of how he needed to know how to take a hint. A hint of what? The prosecutor lightly shook his head filing her words as matters of little importance.[break][break]
At her farewell, the male gave a nod and had walked passed her. If she did not need his help, then there was very little reason for either of them to stay in such a place. In fact, Julius should head back to his apartment right now. However, before the prosecutor had made it out of the alleyway, there was a sound of a crash. Quickly, he spun around alert and ready for a potential fight only to see Ayaka on the ground.[break][break]
It seemed that the firefighter had changed her mind, she did need help after all. The male magus walked back over to the girl and bent down. With his body beside her fallen one, Julius moved her arm so that it was around his shoulder wrapping his arm around her waist and stood up. Should he tell her to lean on him if she needed to? No, she was a firefighter, he was sure Ayaka would know.[break][break]
"Left," he told her, "one..two...three," and on the last number, Julius started with his left foot before moving over to his right helping her with each step along the way. "Do you...use it...often?" he asked deciding that if they were going to get out of the alleyway words such as 'magic' or 'powers' should not be used.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] There was something strange about the woman. Usually, when someone was caught in a way that led very little room for debate, there was usually some form of panic. Yet, the one in front of him had chuckled as if amused before rolling her eyes unperturbed by the events. Julius had only seen these cases a twice during his internship and they had both been experienced criminals. In other words, the one in front of him must have planned out her crimes...whatever they were. Even stranger was that she did not react to the ship either.[break][break]
Yet, as those purple orbs widened, Julius felt a sense of thrill down his spine. A sense of accomplishment in possibly being able to break the facade. Her face contorted with pain as Morgan stumbling over her words before asking what he was doing. He elected to ignore her until-[break][break]
"Get this thing off of me."[break][break]
Once again came the familiar scent and...for a moment the lasso loosened. This scent that clearly came from her but it wasn't there before. There was only one explanation for this: magic. That...that was why. Gray eyes narrowed as Julius grabbed at the woman's wrist and the lasso tightened around her.[break][break]
"Who gave you, your magic? What are they?" the prosecutor asked, eyes sharp. Whatever he may feel towards this woman (real or fake, it was honestly hard to tell) did not matter. Not when she could have harmed someone and was also a magic user.
note: i need to know your definition of late XD. also tell me if you want anything edited cuz if you wanted khepri to not get wrapped up with the lasso again i can change that.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius caught the bag and opened it to look inside. Books, vials of powder...honestly they seemed to be like one of those books that were sold in bookstores. The ones that talked about discovering dragons or unicorns along with spells. The male had never bought any of those himself but he knew a few who had those as a child. He had never understood it and to this day even with the discovery of magic, he still didn't. If magic was so secretive, why would some major company sell those out such information? He had also never seen any magic that actually used vials like witches and wizards but then again...maybe such spells were actually possible. The male made a mental note to ask Io the next time he hands his grief seeds over.[break][break]
"Who is them?" he asked as he took out a book and squinted at its content. It was filled with rather...less than stellar handwriting, to say the least, notes and pictures. Nothing Julius could really make one way or another. Gently, he placed the book back in not wanting to disturb the rest of the male's possessions even if said male had thrown it at him. The prosecutor walked over completely closing their distance and held the bag in front of him for Kei to take.[break][break]
The name of the client was not given due to client confidentiality as Kei had put it. Julius could very well threaten to put him in jail if he wanted. He knew a few prosecutors who had used that tactic to get people talking, those that they did not consider to be the suspect but could very well be a lead. However, this wasn't a criminal case and Julius would be unable to do anything should the blond take his chances. The two-toned haired male gave a nod, "yes." In the loosest sense of the meaning anyway. A case was nothing more than a phenomenon to be investigated and therefore the meaning could be quite fluid. This was very well a case, it was just not a criminal case.[break][break]
"Walk with me," Julius stated before taking a few steps towards a cafe, "I have a few questions."

[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Was that... a voice? Julius wondered if it was possible to become delusional due to the cold. He had never exactly heard of such a case before but it wasn't as if he had ever looked into it either. The male can feel someone pulling on him to get up which confirmed that this was not some kind of hallucination. Images usually can't touch you. He had half a mind to scold the girl (the voice sounded young) for going out in the cold like this but now was most likely not the time. Instead, the male allowed himself to be pulled until he got into the warmth.[break][break]
Yet, despite that, his body still shivered from the residual cold. At the very least, he can finally turn his head to look at the girl along with a few people who have gathered most likely to see who it was that had been outside. Julius almost wished he had the ability to turn invisible. Slowly the people moved away a few commenting about looking for blankets and other items to warm him up while others were simply not interested in some older stranger.[break][break]
It was just him and the girl left..the girl that he assumed to be the one who had saved him from the storm. "You shouldn't...have done..that. You...could have...been stuck...out...in the cold." In other words, what she had done was dangerous. Nonetheless..."but thank you." He understood that he could have frozen to death without her. He really should buy something for blizzards...although in his defense, such things weren't normal in New Paris.[break][break]
"Is there...a...Victor here? Victor Caron?" he asked remembering why he had gone out int he first place, "his mother..she's...she's worried."
