Chaos is known as the being that never became a star. It is everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time.
Neither good nor evil, the ultimate expression of nothingness. The antithesis of the cosmos, creation itself.
Although Chaos claims to be the very state of existence from which the first entities appeared, it cannot form into the entity it wants most.
So it has been cursed to stay in the form of a dark and shapeless void. Floating between existence and nonexistence.
Longingly watching as stars are constantly born and lives are lived. The seeds of malice had been planted, flourished and transformed Chaos into the purest form of evil.
Julius shook his head in silent disagreement. It was impolite to take a call without warning the other. For one if the two were having a conversation (which they really were not) it could be seen as rude cutting the flow of the conversation. The other reason (which was much more applicable to the situation) was that it might have made it awkward for Sandrine. Either way, it was something that can rightfully be seen as rude and therefore an apology was needed.[break][break]
However, he did give an empathetic nod to the second statement. An umbrella certainly would have bee nice. Julius should had brought one himself as well. Truly, it had been a mistake on both of their parts. This probably did not look good on either of them, after all as those whose work consist of representing others, they should always be prepared. This whole event, especially the shame he was feeling right now, was something to learn from.[break][break]
The last comment earned the blue eyed male a blank stare from his temporary companion. "Have anything?" he repeated. "I...don't...have anything...to shield me from the rain...tonight..." well maybe except for his coat but he doubted it would help him very much. Really, he thought it would have been quite obvious. Unless...was Sandrine in a rush somewhere and needed something? "Do...you want my coat...as a shield?" even if the other was a defense attorney in training, he was still very much a citizen. If he needed it, Julius would give to him in case he had some event he needed to attend.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
While it was clear that Julius was not very fond of shooting games, not everyone was like him. Case in point, the blue haired man and his little group. Hearing someone declaring himself a 'king of games' had made the white-tipped haired male mentally wince. Did he hear the words that came out of his mouth? Then again, maybe this was one of those professional video games players he had heard about. He can never understand the professional world at times.[break][break]
Either way, the prosecutor had done his best to ignore what the other was saying and instead debated if he wanted to spend more money on this or not. He needed the practice if he was going to get better with using his powers. Yet, did he have to shoot people? There had to be other shooting- before he can fully deliberate on his options, there was a sudden impact against his back that had caused him to stumble and drop the gun. Fortunately, he managed to catch himself before smacking into the machine, gray eyes slowly looking over to see it was that same blue haired male.[break][break]
At the mention of women, he looked over at some of the woman in the group who seemed to be giggling or snickering. Was it common for people to look at others when they were busy with something? His attention then went back to the blue haired male who gave him the advice of imagining the person to be someone he hated the most. It..wasn't a bad advice but at the same time Julius didn't exactly want anyone dead or shot. "You shouldn' be promoting violence," the words parted from his lips, his face dispassioned as usual. Truly, was this what people meant when they were complaining about violent video games? Julius was starting to agree with them.[break][break]
Yet...he still needed practice. And well...glancing over at the man's screen, he seemed to be doing much better than Julius. Not that it was a feat, but the comparison was still there. And then came the rather backhanded compliment. Julius arched a brow looking at the man and the group. "I can..treat myself," he informed the other. It wasn't like he didn't have the money that he needed someone to treat him. "But...I'll accept the offer..." it wasn't so much because he wanted to spend time with these people though. Not at all. "I can....appreciate...some....advice..." he stated before gesturing over to the game. Although, he supposed they weren't going to just do that all day. "No...singing though...please..." the idea of doing a karaoke in front of people didn't sound very fun.[break][break]
It also seemed that Julius had said the right thing as a few in the group had given a whistle along with a cheer. Well, it was either that or they were amused. Julius didn't really know and he wasn't sure if he wanted to know.[break][break]
note: same! ignore julius, he's just a grumpy pants.
Despite his previous words, Julius did not truly know. He had never been one to be at bars, let alone barhop. It was merely something he had assumed was done in a group rather than alone. As the stranger pointed her fingers, gray eyes trailed over to his co-workers. Were they going to barhop? It wouldn't surprise him if they decided to do so. If they were though, he would certainly excuse himself for the night. The idea of going to another bar was not exactly alluring for him.[break][break]
Loosen up, it wasn't the first time someone had told the prosecutor to loosen up and he doubted that it would end with this stranger either. He was never one to 'loosen up', never finding much of a purpose to it. A blind date that sounded like something of a one night stand without the physical benefits. Julius could never understand those as he much preferred to have a serious relationship. One that required investment even if it did not work out, there was something to learn from it. He never saw anything to learn from one-night stands or flings. Nonetheless, he gave a nod unsure if it was a lie or not. He didn't exactly have enough information to find any contradictions, well, not without alerting the woman.[break][break]
Julius gently pushed the glass over to the woman at her question. The prosecutor gave a small apologetic nod before waving down the bartender, "Water, please," he ordered before turning his attention back over to his companion. He had told her he didn't drink, and really, there was no reason to break that just for her. [break][break]
Why the interest indeed. "You...caught my eye..." which was not exactly a lie. She had caught his eye but not for the reason most would think. "So...I wanted to know more about you...if that is alright...maybe spend the night?" Just talking of course. Well talking and seeing if he was merely being paranoid or if he was on the right track. "If...that is alright..." If not then he'll have to try to think of something else.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] It had been a stroke of luck that Julius had ran into a carnival troupe member. It had taken him some time to figure out what to say. But fortunately, when he formed the words, the person was still there and so he had asked the person to pass on the message. Tell the jester looking magician that he was going to investigate the catacomb and if the man had the time, to meet him there three days from now.[break][break]
The astounding part about having one's body magically modified, was that it healed faster than the average human body. The injury to his shoulder had healed a few days after the incident without having to go to the hospital. Still, the male knew that he should exercise precaution nonetheless. [break][break]
As the prosecutor approached the catacomb, the sky turning a dark shade of blue without the sun in the sky, gray eyes caught sight of the man. There was a wave of relief to see him here. Even though Julius had been willing to go alone, to know that he wasn't did make him feel more safe. Also, there were questions he wanted to ask the other anyway.[break][break]
Julius gave a small nod of acknowledgement to the other before he started to head inside. The inside was at least well lit with many skulls. Gray eyes squinted, almost waiting for one of them to pop out and attack them. After Halloween, it was rather hard to trust the dead. "How long..have you known...about magic?" Julius asked as he looked around for any weapons, accessories or purple cape. Anything that could possibly connect back to Halloween or perhaps it had just been a coincidence. He couldn't exactly be sure.
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] It has been a few days and things have died down. Julius had to answer a couple of questions from the police. He didn't inform them of the magic and simply stated that he helped someone escape after making the call. He had also seen Alex again, Alex who was safe and well. That was honestly the biggest relief of all this. He had also handed out his contact information to the three individuals that night, although he was not sure if they would contact him or not. By the end of the day, it was their choice.[break][break]
For now, he was back to work going through cases and paper. He had also recently picked up a case of a victim who died five years ago. He knew that it was not a high priority case due to its age, it was virtually a cold case, but he did make a mental note to try to come into contacts with the victim's family once again. It was not put away because only because they couldn't find the murderer a month after the murder but also because it did not seem too dangerous. The most they could put on the culprit was most likely manslaughter.[break][break]
"Julius, your time is up," teased a secretary who had opened his door. Time was up? Gray eyes looked over at the clock in his office. Right...work was over. The male bit his lips and looked at the files. He didn't get as far as he would like. Honestly, he could just continue to work, he wouldn't mind it. It wasn't like he had much to do anyway. However, he understood how that may hurt the office. The male gave a nod before starting to pack up. His eyes trailed after the secretary who had closed the door before quickly putting in some of the files into his bag. He can work at home, no one would know,[break][break]
With the files and his belongings packed, Julius walked out. From the corner of his eyes, he can see Maurice was still talking to one of the recent clients. It was a woman who was filing abuse if he remembered correctly. A part of him wondered if her kid was here today. The girl was not at the front desk...did she find someone to watch her child in the meantime? Even if it was not in the prosecutor's place as she was not his client, he can only hope she had.[break][break]
The first thing that caught Julius's eyes when he stepped out as the usual sight on the outside of his office. People walking down the streets, cars driving up and down the road, one of the interns who was most likely on a break sitting outside with a cup of coffee, a child sitting down on a bench and talking to Emile's friend...wait. His eyes quickly went back to the bench the two were sitting at, eyes widen. Now that he looked closely, he was sure that child was the one he had somewhat looked for at the front desk earlier. And well..this was the girl who had been there that night. She was also the first to leave if he remembered correctly. Did she also know the client? Somehow, it wouldn't surprise Julius too much, she seemed to know people.[break][break]
"Yvette...Julie..." he greeted each of them separtely with a nod.[break][break]
"Oh! It's the funny man!" the child cried out pointing at the prosecutor.[break][break]
[attr="class","haltemptxt2"] CHARACTER NAME: julius vesper[break] ITEM(S) IN CART: D-CLASS ABILITY (free), C-RANK UP (250 MP)[break] TOTAL: 250[break] [break][break] NAME: simulacrum[break] CLASS: magi[break] DESCRIPTION: By using visible light, Julius is able to create an image he chooses. It is similar to illusions, but the image itself is nothing more than an image. It cannot create any sound and should one try to touch it, they would simply phase through. At the moment, Julius can only create an extra image, he cannot change anyone's appearance nor can he reflect light to hide their visual presence. Julius can also only create up to three images at the moment. The image must also be controlled by Julius and the more he creates, the more focus it takes from him.[break]
[attr="class","nologicpost1"] Julius blankly stared at the blue haired man who stated that he owed him. He was not sure what it was exactly for. Saving Yvette? Leaving him with Emile? Either way, he supposed he did owe him something. After all, it might be Julius's job working for the state to protect people and it was his duty as a magi to defeat youmas for their grief seeds but the same did not apply to Enzo. So he gave a small nod of acknowledgment before turning his attention back to the scene that was unfolding.[break][break]
A canon and a wave of skeletons used to guard it.[break][break]
Julius started to shoot those he can down when he saw a green haired girl crying out for Yvette. She was quite a popular girl, wasn't she? However, what was even more eye-catching were her hairpins. They emitted a soft light. Either that was part of her costume or it was magic. Yes, it was certainly strange the potential of magic being the answer was becoming more frequent in his life. When the girl had run over to extend her hand, Julius moved in an attempt to pull her away. What was she thinking!? Before he reached her, however, the girl's power seemed to have activated and dawn on her was a new outfit along with five more skeletons that were taken down.[break][break]
How..just how was she so casual about this? When Julius had first used his magic, he had honestly panicked. The idea of magic has always existed, a world he had never touched upon before, the knowledge that his body was apparently nothing more than a vessel now, his soul now contained in the earing on his left ear. He stayed quiet as Yvette answered the girl's question for him, there was no possible way they would know. There didn't seem to be any manifestation of her soul either, so then was she a vessel or a noblesse? A magi would have had something to contain their soul in right? Then again, just how much did Julius know about this strange magical world?[break][break]
"Stay behind me," he instructed making sure to step in front of the green haired girl since his skillsets were for far range anyway. It would be easier if the two of them were to just stay back. Gray eyes watched as Yvette took the remaining five and Julius was ready to summon his bow and arrow when Enzo's (who was now donning a crown and necklace) came running. He screamed at the skeleton king for his..camera? Just...what? Gray eyes squinted as Julius tried to process what was going on. It was true the strap that was on him before was now gone but it was just a camera! He can only watch as the man attack in a barrage that used ferocity and replacement for grace.[break][break]
He must have been some photographer to get that mad about a camera.[break][break]
The prosecutor prepared to shoot an arrow when Enzo was knocked away. Take aim...one shot...just gotta aim for the head. He let the arrow go but before it can even come close to the skeleton king, a purple spear zipped through ending the skeleton king's life. Who...Julius turned to look in the direction of where the spear came from but saw no one. A hidden magic user? Io? Whoever it was had ended the battle in one fell swoop and fortunately was on their side. That was good at least, even if he couldn't tell who it was. The battle was over. [break][break]
Wordlessly, Julius took out his card and handed it over to the green haired girl. She clearly had questions and honestly, so did Julius. There was still a lot he didn't understand about magic. Besides, maybe she can also give it to her friend later. Without a farewell, the male approached Enzo and handed him his card as well. He was the one that charged in despite lacking magic and Julius did in owe him. Then lastly, he walked over to the magician and handed him the card. This one..was a bit trickier. He wasn't sure if the man had a phone, he can only hope he did. If not...well...there was going to be a talk in the office about a clown looking magician visiting Julius. that...that will be fun.[break][break]
With his contacts given, Julius then took out his phone to call Alex who thankfully was okay. He was safe and alive. The two quickly promised to see each other the next day if only because Julius needed to see with his own eyes that his brother was fine. He ended the call stating that work might be coming soon. The police will most likely arrive at the scene some time and Julius wasn't sure how to answer their questions. No, it would be best to just leave the scene now and head home.[break][break]
Sadly, he wasn't going to get any hard candy to eat tonight.
Julius gave a nod to the story also agreeing with her that they couldn't say much. For one, it had been in self-defense. The best they can argue was for it to be excessive but in her defense, it was only the foot. "I'll make sure to argue on that point if they try to push for it" he stated, his voice carrying the usual dispassion as if he was almost annoyed by the extra work. In truth though, he really doubted they would try. If they filed a complaint, that would be an admitance to breaking the restraining order. If the defense attorney was worth the money, they would advise against such ideas to their clients.[break][break]
The prosecutor marked the last remaining areas where she needed to initial her name. "This is essentially a paper marking you as a witness to the judge. The judge will be allowed to question you before the court case is presented should he accept the severity of the case." Well, that was the short version of it. Julius doubted she would want to hear the entire thing or else she would have become a prosecutor, or worse, a defense attorney herself. "The defense attorney will not have your information, just as I will not have any information on who they may call as a witness." Of course, that won't prevent either side of having guesses. He was sure the defense attorney will predict this woman's involvement, the same way Julius was sure a few character witnesses will be the man's friend. [break][break]
"While you're here, I would also like to talk to you. Miss Hearth wishes to push for the greatest severity she can and I will abide by her wish." It was part of his job working for the state, he was someone that worked for the people. If the victim or their family (should the worst case scenario occurred) wanted a certain punishment, he will do everything in his power to see it through. " However, as I have stated before, this will be shown in front of a jury. There will be people who will doubt her story, who may call her out. Even more so, there will be a larger amount of people who may find out. The defense attorney will most likely try to tear down her story to make it appear either as lies or for the transgressions to be less than what they actually are. Miss Hearth will have to encounter these challenges." And Julius was sure that was only naming some. There may also be witnesses who will attack her character rather than the facts in order to discredit her and sway the jury. "I will do what I can to defend her during court but I cannot always be there for her. As you are living with her...she may need your support." Support, not pity. Julius was honestly not sure how he would approach this. Then again, it wasn't his job to do so. "You had been the one to encourage her to go this far," even if the woman had backed down, it had been her suggestion. She had a sway over Miss Hearth and therefore there was a small message in his words.[break][break]
It was the woman's responsibility to take care of her friend. If something was to happen, it was on the woman in front of him.
So the man came by recently, huh? And with friends, Julius wondered if he can charge them too or if that would be pushing it. He'll have to talk to someone else in the office to figure that part out later. The prosecutor watched as the woman slowly release her grip on the chair in order to move forward. Her action demanding the attention, that he was more than willing to give her. The woman had volunteered herself to be a witness, that was good to know. The logic of her request also made sense. The defense attorney would naturally try to convince the judge to lower the sentence, it was their job, to lessen the punishment for one's crime in return for money. Defense attorneys were honestly a disgusting job, only being above actual criminals.[break][break]
'If we are pushing for 25 years, this will be held in front of a court with a jury," he stated keeping eye contact with Miis hearth. If the punishment was to be pushed that far, the court case would also be dragged out. Julius did not exactly mind that himself, it was his job. He would do just that if it was Miss Hearth's wish, he will do just that. It just meant that there would be slightly more people who may know of her story. The words, despite the dispassionate tone, carried a small warning. It was something he wanted her to consider. According to what he read back in university, court cases can usually be quite hard for abuse victims. Not only did they have to see their abuser again but also let a selected people hear and judge their story. They also have to face the defense attorney trying to tear down their stories. They would have to face people possibly thinking they were liars. Julius will do the best he can to defend her but he couldn't exactly protect her from all their scorn.[break][break]
At her decision, Julius gave a nod, "then considered done. I will push as far as I can." There was a small pause as the prosecutor debated on how to continue with this. He didn't want to scare the woman or destroy her determination. Yet, he needed to make preparations for her own mental health. "I will have the police do an investigation around the resident that you are staying in. So I will need the address. If it is possible, can you tell one of the secretaries outside?' In truth, he already had the information about her current residence from the police. However, he needed someone to distract her for the moment. "I will need your friend to stay if she plans to be a witness. There are papers that will be needed to fill out." Well that part wasn't exactly a lie. And he knew there was a risk in separating them but it would only be for a few short minutes. Gray eyes caught the hesitation on her face, the small glance at her friend before giving a nod.[break][break]
"I'll be right back," she informed the two. Julus merely nodded back at her, his face remaining passive.[break][break]
The male waited for the door to close behind the woman before opening the drawer to take out some of the papers that he needed to do. His hand then moved over to pluck a pen from its container, not exactly looking at the only other person in the room. "You told me the man came around withs ome of his friends, I assume from that the two of you are currently staying together?"
Was...the skeleton enjoying this? Truly, Julius did not need his wish granted for the magical duty that was thrust onto him. He would have gladly done it if it meant he can get rid of people that actually like to fight. Likes the thrill of battle, the gambling of one's life. The utter carelessness for life. And so, when he had let go of the arrow at point blank, he had honestly wished it would have killed him. Unfortunately, this was the leader and naturally was much stronger. It was why he had rolled away expecting the other to survive despite his wishes. A quick glance allowed him to see the other two were still alive, good. [break][break]
The prosecutor turned his attention back to the skeleton who didn't seem to be scathed by his arrow at all. That was honestly quite a disappointment, Gray eyes narrowed ready to dodge and shoot (as he doubted the same trick would work twice) when he saw a figure in the sky landing just behind the skeleton. Small blasts of fire hit the skeleton's back. Yvette was quite opportunistic in battle, a good skill to have. As the skeleton raised his hand up, gray eyes widen as he tried to once again draw his bow. Was he going to make it? He couldn't do it instantaneously, and it takes energy to form the bow. Fortunately, before the skeleton swung his blade, a spear hit him.[break][break]
Wait...spear? Julius looked over in the direction of where the spear had been thrown somewhat expecting to be the magician when he instead saw the familiar blue haired man..Enzo. What..what was he doing here? Shouldn't he be with Emile right now? So why wasn't he? Did he take her to safety? Why was he here!? As far as Julius can tell the man didn't have magic to defend himself and yet he followed them into battle!?[break][break]
The sound of the skeleton's voice, caught Julius' attention as he turned to look over at the leader. The power of a king? Was it...summoning more skeletons? Well, that was quite a power of a king, to summon an army but it wasn't like he hadn't done that before. Oh wait, as the smoke cleared up, Julius saw the canon. He...he can destroy buildings with that. It can kill someone. There was a sense of panic but then Julius noticed something.[break][break]
It hasn't fired yet? Why? Shouldn't he just fire it now? Was there a reason? No, this was not the time to question this. Wordlessly, the male summoned his bow and conjured his arrows shooting them at the skeletons one at a time. The creatures did not move even as the arrow came as if they were using themselves to protect the canon. Well then, Julius had every plan to take them down as quickly as possible. For whatever reason, the canon hasn't shot at anything yet and Julius did not have plans to give this skeleton king the opportunity.
tldr: the lying heaten julius spotted ENZO PATEL after he saw the spear knock from napoleon's head. saw napoleon summon a canon and inwardly panicked before realizing it hasn't been shot yet. clearly he does not understand charging decides to try to take advantage of this and takes down five skeletons protecting the canon.[break][break] how many grunts left: 10[break]
Julius gave a nod to the assumption, yes, what he nursing was indeed water. He wasn't exactly surprised when she mentioned how stiff he was. "I'm..not..the drinking type," he informed after taking another sip of his water. Although perhaps, he should have just agreed to it. The chances of them running into each other were slim. Then again, he hadn't thought he would ever see Madam Cadence more than once.[break][break]
The male shook his head. It wasn't that she didn't look like the type to bar hop, however from memory, "it...doesn't seem like something...one does....alone..." By the end of the day, that was what it was. He had always thought going to bars was something one did for others whether it was staying one bar or jumping from one establishment to another. [break][break]
An interesting date, huh? Should he ask or would it seem strange? Would the date have anything to do with the stain on her skirt? The woman sent him a wink and smile and he merely stared blankly bad. Slowly, he caught himself and merely gave a small nod of acknowledgment to her words. What else was there to add to that?[break][break]
Again, he gave a nod to her assumption as he watched her flag the tender down. Wait, was she? Julius was about to open his mouth when she had closed the door by thanking the bartender. Gray eyes stared at her..."I don't...drink.." he informed her. He had thought it was quite obvious, the woman had said so herself. [break]break]
The prosecutor shook his head at the offer, "no...thank you..." he would really rather not even have a sip. He was not very fond of the idea of alcohol whether or not it gave a metaphorical bite. At her question, the male was about to sip his water when he realized there was none left. Great. Looks like that trick won't work unless he takes a drink from the alcohol..to which he really had no plan to do. "I...saw you were...alone...so I just thought...to come talk to you..." came the lie, "is that...alright?" Well she had taken him on his drink, even if apparently that was for the next round."How was..your date...if you don't mind me asking..."[break]break]
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
Good, the woman accepted it. Julius gave a curt nod before sitting down on the free seat next to her. In the movies, this was where the male would probably make some kind of comment or say something to create a conversation. The prosecutor, however, had remained silent. Perhaps that was what had prompted the woman to ask if he was nervous..or maybe it was just the way he talked. He knew it did not come out as smoothly as it id for most people nor was his voice ever truly loud. At the mention of his co-workers (or friends as the mysterious woman had referred to them), gray eyes darted over to them. The loud merriment they had as they laughed, clanked their drinks together and talked. It was almost amazing that despite how loud they were, their words were still quite incoherent from where the two were sitting.[break][break]
Her second question brought him back to looking at her before taking a sip of the water in his hand. A small tactic to buy time. "I...not really..." which was probably quite obvious. He wasn't exactly dressed like how one would when going to a bar like this. Even if the interior looked much better than the outside, there was still a sense of casualness. Julius was practically dressed as if he was going to go to work. [break][break]
Another question and another moment of silence for the other. Again he looked back to them and mentally winced. He wasn't sure if the statement was more directed at him being incapable of enjoying the scene like his coworkers or at them for being so loud. "I...it's...." the male bit his lips in an attempt to try to find the right words for this. "It's...they're drunk...they're not...normally like...this.." he defended them to the best of his ability. Even if the woman did not know who they were, he would really rather not have her think prosecutors were like that. No, they were drunk. While they were not exactly cold or antisocial when sober, they had better control than this.[break][break]
"What brings you here...alone..." unless she was waiting for someone? Either way, he should try to see where she came from. He needed more information right now.[break][break]
note: if you can deal with my bad grammar as well, i don't think we'll have any problems XD
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
Julius found himself standing as he waited to see Madame Ritter. It honestly felt a bit awkward to be standing around waiting but well..there wasn't exactly anything else he can do. The prosecutor can only hope that it will not take long. Soon he heard someone addressed him as 'you'. So this was Madame Ritter. Gray eyes took in her form, a woman of white skin and blond hair. The male gave a small nod, "Are you...Madam Ritter?" well she most likely was if she came here. Of course, there was a chance she could be lying but it wasn't as if Julius could actually check. The file did not have a picture of her. Her eyes appeared guarded and Julius did not exactly blame her. If a stranger had asked to see him, he would have most likely acted with caution as well. Although, it was rather strange to see her be open about it. Actually, it was almost refreshing in a sense.[break][break]
"Yes...I am Julius Vesper, I was wondering...if we could talk somewhere...privately...if you're not busy." He understood that she was volunteering but, "it's important." Yet, he couldn't exactly just tell her here. Not when there were others who might listen in. No, he was going to respect her privacy. They would just have to find a private room to talk in. Surely, there must be one somewhere here, right? "Is there a room where we can speak...privately?" he asked making sure to keep eye contact with her. He had nothing to hide from her or well..nothing that would concern her anyway.
[newclass=.nologicimg]height:70px;width:70px;padding:15px;background-color:#222222;border-radius:100%;float:left;margin:20px 25px 0px -35px;[/newclass]
Julius was not usually one to care for bars, he had never been a fan of drinking alcohol. Not that he had ever tried either. Perhaps it was because of his upbringing, but he had always been against the idea. So then why was he here? Well, there was a big case won by a fellow prosecutor and people thought they should go out to celebrate. Julius did not really care for the establishment but it would have been rude to turn the person down. [break][break]
And so here he was, sitting on the chair somewhat regretting his decision while nursing a glass of water in his hand. He half-paid attention to what his co-workers were saying and tried to ignore some of their less than acceptable comments. They were drunk, or so he had justified it anyway. Gray eyes instead had traveled around the bar from watching the band play, to seeing the people talk some of them drunk while others were sober. A sigh parted from the young prosecutor's lips, this was why he did not go to such places.[break][break]
The door to the restroom opened and there was a woman with tanned skin and purple hair. There was a sense of exoticism in her appearance but it wasn't anything too captivating. At least...until Julius saw a stain on her skirt. Strange...was it his imagination or did it look like-[break][break]
Silently, Julius got off of his seat catching the eyes of some of his co-workers.[break][break]
"What is it, Julius?" one of them asked before taking a shot of whatever drink they had ordered.[break][break]
Gray eyes looked back at the co-worker before looking over at the woman. Wordlessly, he walked over ignoring the whistles and small cheers sent his way.[break][break]
"Julius is making a move. You go! We'll be here for you no matter what, buddy!"[break][break]
They were drunk..they were drunk...they were drunk. Julius had to keep that mantra in order to bite back the urge to mentally groan as he approached the woman. There was an empty seat beside her, one that he could take. "May I..sit next to you? I'll....buy you...the next...round..." he offered, gray eyes taking in the appearance of the woman in front of him and her appearance. Yes...that stain..it had to be blood. Did she saw a scene or had she caused one? The stain itself was not exactly very big or noticeable or else there would already have been questions but it certainly was there. Julius needed to figure out what was going on while getting her guard down.[break][break]
Honestly, this was not his forte but he couldn't exactly just call a police to come over and interrogate her either. Not without clearly tipping her off. Well, let's hope he can pull this off well enough then.

They were wrong..the adults were wrong because according to Alex, good people do die. Good people do die because that was what supposedly happened to their parents. A bad man killed their parents because that bad man didn't care. Because bad people never cared, they were evil. There was no other explanations and apparently, they were moved here to be safe. Because if that man killed their parents, what if he went after them? Listlessly, the boy's hand dropped from the handle because...it didn't look like Alex was lying. It didn't look like he was saying something wrong. They've been here for a year. If their parents miss them, then they would have been here by now. If they weren't, it had to be because something was preventing them.[break][break]
As the boy tried to process this, he felt Alex pull him into a hug bawling and telling him about the world. How it was not like cartoons. Not when there was a bad man out there who wasn't caught. The world isn't happy because they were now orphans. Tears ran down his cheeks as the words sank in. It was just them now. No one else. The adults couldn't be trusted because they lied, they lied to him for an entire year. Alex was the one that told him the truth, the one that promised to protect him.[break][break]
Small hands reached up to cling onto his brother, the only family member he had left. Julis gave a weak nod. Alex was his safety. "There's.....there's...a meeting...for parents..and teachers...I...I don't want Monsieur....or Madam...to...go...." because he didn't want them to replace his parents. Not when they lied to him. "Can..can you go?" Alex will go, right? Because Alex was going to protect him. Alex was going to be there for him, right? "I'll...I'll be good..." so don't let anyone replace them. Julius could hardly remember his parents but he won't let anyone replace them!
